  • Wht part of the river is this?

  • Let the ppl eat the fish. It's their choice if they want to eat fish from the shit creek.

lmao, so nasty. I'm from canada, been to LA once. I can't believe ppl eat fish out of there. That's butt nasty.

  • its called a wash tank you put the fish in the tank so they can clean out dumb ass

  • I don't even eat the ones I catch of the pier. The only ones I eat are the ones I catch off the fishing boat when I go deep sea fishing.

  • u know how much u hafta eat to die from these fish? Thousands.

  • i dont eat them. my snake does.

  • Bon Appetite then ...you have been warned. Eat em up. By the way there are lot's of other sources of food in L.A. ...but go ahead if you really want to eat some nasty carp from the L.A. river....and when you catch them, be sure to clean up your left behind fishing line, lead sinkers and beer cans. Genius.

  • @Hollywoodivers I think u just don't like fishermen cause u had bad experience with them(like leaving garbage behind)but not all of us like that. Also when u get fish from the Oceans & Seas the're full of chemicals and toxins like Benzin and Mercury even up here in the so posed to be clean Arctic(where I live)so I GUESS there are no safe food at all anywhere.SAd shit but thrue

  • theres nothing wrong with theese fish their nowere near toxic levels

the polution makes it harmfull and painfull for the fish but their meat is good ^_^

  • As somoene who's spent hours on the river catching carp up to 15lbs i'll say that: a)carp are not good for eating period. too bony. b) fish are not toxic- PCB levels in carp are 9.4 -16.3 parts per billion toxic levels are considered by the California Office Of Enviornmental Health Hazard Assesment advisory levels to be 21 parts per million. from a sept 2008 FoLAR report.

c)true fisherman practise catch and release and level nothing behind.

  • @Natokowsky Actually carp is a very good fish to eat, special if u can take the Y-bones out. It's a fatty meat and kind of grayish color and it's very tasty!!! Kind of taste like salmon but not as fishy. It's the #1 favorite fish to eat in Europe and inland Asia u should try it fried. And it's easy to cut the bones out while filleting it.I'm very serious. If u try it once you'll wanna eat it all the time

  • @jozsefkacsa Sure . You seem like a rather intelligent and articulate individual. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

  • @Natokowsky thank u sir you're very kind

  • Well I'm a pretty responsible fishermen, and I will clean up after myself. Some guys jus don't and that sucks for the LA river. BTW do you know what people catch the carps on?

  • Terrible, but more and more common these days.

  • Yep ..you are correct the people who don't know any better are going to eat these fish, grow a tumor and then sue the city probobly. This area has tons of ducks and geese and lot's of cool birds. The birds with the fishing hooks sticking out of their faces are particularly interesting. The fisherman leave balls of fishing line and trash everywhere. Their argument will be "well there is already plenty of trash in that river so we ain't hurtin it"

  • ahhhh america. what can you say?

  • I have seen lots of fisherman at this part of the river. They leave behind lead sinkers, beer cans, balls of discarded fishing line. They also take the fish out of the river. The LA times did a story on the fish in this river and people read it. They are there now taking the fish and eating them. LA Times do a follow up. See how many fisherman are growing a 3rd arm out of their back. See the ducks with fishing hooks sticking out of their face. Fisherman can't you just leave this area alone ?
