I'm wondering if all of those are paintings of north Africans or of Arabians. I know there are some Orientalist paintings that went into Arabia to do their paintings. I wonder if any are these are true to life or mainly from the imagination.

and the "sculptures" shown on this video are from who knows where and don't conclusively prove that ALL Moors were "black" in the Sub-Saharan sense. Even the narrator this video admits that there are other images that show a lighter more paler Arabic looking thing too. Moors were neither white nor black... Just like the ancient Egyptians, but somewhere in between. Middle Eastern or mixed-Arabic looking. (Jews were never black either.) Shakespeare called ANYONE "black" who was Arab looking.

Most Spanish and Moorocan historians will admit that the Moors of the 8th thru the 15th century were originally black.

@9dedi009 I know this. If you go to Europe you may witness a huge festival all over parts of Europe called "The Moors & Christians Festival". They re-enact the Moorish invasion and conquest and how the Christians eventually regained power. In many towns, in order to be realistic the town participants who portray the Moors not only wears Moorish attire but paint their faces black and wear black gloves and stockings to portray black people. Many of them haven't gotten the whitewash memo yet.
