  • Blackavar sounds like a African-American to me.

  • I wish this was how they brought Kenneth Oppal's Silverwing to animation instead of that crappy show on Toon Disney.

  • kehaar is so awesome XD

  • 4:32 Blackavar got punk'd

  • for some odd reason, the shot of his face at 7:00 reminds my of The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

  • i love the book

  • 666 likes. Lol

  • 666 likes o.o

  • @Konpop apparently.

  • is it me or the seagull suppose to be German?

  • @Konpop Kehaar is supposed to be based off of a Norwegian Resistance fighter from WWII that was friends with the author of Watership Down. That's why he has that East-European accent.

  • @Kyuubi92 I see.. thanks for the info..

  • @Kyuubi92 My question is who taught the seagull the rabbit language, I want to write a bad review on Angies list.

  • @DukeTravers I think in the book it mentions something about a "universal" language that all animals speak - that's how Hazel communicates with the mouse as well. It's a kind of simple pidgin language, kind of like how Kehaar normally speaks.

  • @Kyuubi92 Yep, it's called Hedgerow if I remember.

  • @xchickenmanx they have claws indeed.

  • Fuck me!! 1:17 :')

  • I think that seagull's fish have a little too much mercury in them...

  • I love how there's a theme for when the seagull flies.

  • Kehaar is greatest seagull to ever grace the screen.

  • rings around eyes=sign of evil

  • I have a slight crush on Bigwig.

  • @TheFloatingBox

    Me too lol

  • whoop...looks like Fivel and Hyzenthlay are gonna be getting along just fine for mating season :P

  • @TheIranxican

    Fivel is a mouse.

  • @TheIranxican She is really Hazel's mate i I recall the books right.

  • Why is "Hyzenthlay" not the awesome, go-to name for every epic fantasy/sci-fi movie heroine since this movie was released?

  • Sometimes I wish I was an animal...then I might be more wise...

  • Lol. I love Chervil's voice. It just screams "hey! I'm a bad guy!"

  • "It floats...It...Floats."

Am I the only one who thought of Stephen King's IT, when the clown says "They float... They all float."?

  • @Minatoleekrinaze "We all float down here, Fiver. YOU'LL FLOAT TOO! Gaze into the deadlights!"

  • Oh my god, that fucking seagull.

  • if i was a doe.........Hazel would be mine. (;

  • @blaxicat2005 coz thats not strange at all! XD lol

  • dat seagull sucks at being low key... he'd be perfect for distractions tho, but not for spying... yeah, he's awesum

  • Is it me or does the last minuit of this part just freeze up

  • damnit seagull it's all your fault

  • I love this movie though it's been years since I've seen it. I've recently re read the book and I realize how rushed this movie is. Should be remade

  • This whole film hints of the Biblical journey of the Israelites!

  • Wow Bigwig sure did quite a lot during the course of being chased by a fox for two seconds. I know we're supposed to believe it was longer, but it still went by pretty fast. I really love this movie, but that was kind of odd. Ah well whatever.

  • I adore that seagull.

  • Bigwig is a fucking badass

  • What an obnoxious seagull. xD

  • "Its boat, man made for water ".... Is the bird retarded ?

  • @alex0x "man made THEM for water"

  • @devilsweetkiss "Man made them go on water"

  • I just love that bird! "Too many little black rocks come out of him. You never notice?" *chuckle*

  • @xchickenmanx Jack Rabbits have them

  • Heard of this movie once pretty damb cool

  • @xchickenmanx since allways , youll be surprised they have those claws to dig burrows and it serves as traction allowing them to hop and jump better ( move faster) .

  • ive got friends like that seagull, loud and hilarious

  • Next time i see any bunnies in a feild or the side of the road, this is automatically going to pop up in my head!

  • so did all those blue eyeed rabbits take over or sumthing im confused?

  • "u plenty good friend" :D rofl hardly

  • i love the seagull XD

  • the bunnys with the blue eyes are like naizes perfect rase

  • pengus

  • This bird may be the funniest thing I've seen in a while

  • It's too bad they portrayed all the Efrafan Owsla as evil. Only a few actually were, plus the General. Also, @entershikarism, Kehaar has the personality of a drunken Russian.

  • ive been watching this trippin hard

  • shoot that big mouth bird. He drives me nuts.

  • Rabbits have claws. This is the second most important thing I've learned from this movie, which is: THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THIS WERE SCHIZOPHRENICS

  • OMG the bird had a blonde moment!!! o.O

  • replace does with hoes in this movie and its super funny!!!

"that hoe over there whats her name"

    hahahahahah

  • Did anybody else notice how this movie parallels the Jewish holocaust? O.O

  • @GuitarKat93 please explain how ?

  • @GuitarKat93 its suppost to lolol tehres a poem simialr, i think this movie may even be based off of it. Its called "the terrible things" it was origianally writeen to help explain to children about the holocaust.

  • and I thought rabbits we're cute cuddly animals that turned out to be bloody murderes in this movie lol

  • THAT DOE OVER THERE,FANCY HER DO YOU? CLASSIC LINE!!!

  • great film, but the book was mighty damn good!

  • That seagull has the sway of a drunkard.

  • @entershikarisim Hes' Russian. XD

  • @entershikarisim Of course, he's irish

  • @aeronshaw no.... I'm irish.

  • @entershikarisim The sway of a drunkard and the slur of a pothead.

  • @entershikarisim

    It's Zero Mostel you moron.

  • @TheIntruders Really, I have no idea what you're talking about calling people morons over youtube. How mature.

  • i know its a cartoon, but this movie scares me as much as the wolf in Peter and the Wolf

  • (BigWig) listen carefully...

    (Kehaar) YYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!

    Epic!

  • 2:22 "hlessi"; rabbit-talk for 'vagrant'.

  • keehars accent probably ukranien lol its a cross between german abd russian lol

  • Like I said, it wouldn't top this film but it's the only story I can think of where use of the technology would be artistically justified.

  • The seagel sounds like the spanish house keeper from family guy. "Ya, I go talk to Mister". The nanny says: Hello Mr.

  • It floats.

  • I love Keehar. What is his accent? I never figured it out- in the book I thought it was French. Now it sounds... German.

  • @TrueBriarRose im pretty sure its russian! hahahha

  • @TrueBriarRose Perhaps Russian or Slavic?

  • @TrueBriarRose Norwegian. He was based on a WWII Norwegian resistance fighter.

  • 7 people are evil Efrafans

  • @victimofaguillotine Or overwhelmingly traumatized kids

  • @mikkodude LOL

  • @mikkodude so true

  • I always thought rabbits were cute and cuddly til I saw this.....and just the other day I say a doe KILL a crow to save her kittens.

  • IS BOOT. MAN MADE IT GO ON WADAH

    *slaps chest*

  • I love how in the book Hazel looks at Bigwig and says: "The truth is, you're just a silly show off!" :) Go Hazel!

  • lol Kehaar is nuts.

  • @appleproject13 u said it!

  • I'm not even a fan of Zack Synder, but for some reason I think the guy would be the ideal choice for a new adaptation of Watership Down. I think he's overrated, but I think if the right producer was in place to slap his hand everytime he started to go too far then Zack could really pull it off with his visual style.

  • Watch The Fountain, I think you'd see Aronofsky is the only live-action director who could do this story justice. He's the only auteur who's (a) not reduced to crap summer films and (b) wanted to do a major fantasy. With music by Clint Mansell. You'd need a bunch of British stars. This is only film I can think would justify 3D and still be worth watching...only if live backgrounds. So you're talking Aronofsky or Del Toro(!) It'd still merely equal this. Hell, I'd love to see Miyazaki do this.

  • @ijwi You know, you're right. Del Toro would probably be the better choice, as he's already had experience in fantasy movies with Pan's Labyrinth, but a Darren Aronofsky version of this story would be fantastic!

  • @ijwi But even Miyazaki butchered Howl's Moving Castle.

  • its funny in the book when dandelion says in keehars accient "is meester pigvigs fur cap moulting cus of keehars journy" lol

  • jeeze I wouldn't want to be in that place! Damn captain giving me a bad tatoo...I WANT IT TO BE A COOL ONE

  • I'm always so psyched when they figure out the boat and all. XD;;; (I think it's clearer in the book how it's sort of a revolutionary discovery..) I wonder if any real rabbits have ever used a trick like that.

  • @GuacamoleKun I have loads of rabbits next to my house, because we live in the country-side in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, I've watched them doing really clever things, like: bashing nuts on rocks to crack them open and I even saw a rabbit CLIMB A TREE, to dee if there was any danger about. I'm pretty sure that they'd be capable of using a boat ;D

  • @MissKeiraCullen Wow, well thanks for the info! There are a decent number of rabbits around here too but I've never seen them do much besides eat clover and run away.

  • @GuacamoleKun I saw a rabbit earlier, do a backflip down my drive XD it was funny. But, yeah most rabbits are quite placid. lol

  • The bunny allegory holocaust is not a joke!

  • nazi rabbits

  • The bird wont Shawt AWP

  • @MyyLitleFLaMe Keehar is not retarded the rabbits can only partially understand his speech. So from thier perspective he sounds awkward, but if a bird were listening Keehar wouldn't seem this way. If you like to read i recommend Watership Down by Richard Adams it further explanis this concept and talks about Lapine- rabbit langauge.

  • what i dont understand is that by looking at the boat, u can see that it can float, but the bunnies dont seem to realise until they sit on it. DUHHRRRRRR

  • @TycoonQueenie01 it's the first time they have ever seen a boat before. Give them a break, they are only rabbits :,(

  • @jocstarbunny

They can't technically count past four, either. "Fiver" is a translation from the "Lapine" language name Hrairoo, "Little Thousand."

  • @TycoonQueenie01 something being able to float and something being able to support weight are different things though.

  • I love how the GOOD guys in this movie have RED eyes and the BAD guys have BLUE ones. :D I'm so sick of seeing heroes/heroines with blue eyes all the time x3

  • It's a woodern boat it floats, If you hit a sea mine it will sink!

    Stupid Rabbit!

  • i thought it was primrose

  • @KGirl314

Hyzenflay IS Primrose, for some reason they changed the name in the cartoon series.

  • loll bunny wabbit holocaust rofl

  • IS COMING FOR FIND YOU o0

  • where are the swastikas? frickin fascist death-rabbits.

  • "listen carefully" "YAR", what happened to being quiet Keehar?

  • What's a .... silflay? .___.

  • @whosyouruncledaddy that's when they up to eat

  • now this is good... i had to read the book for school and i got to pg like 310 (and mind you its about 470 pgs) and couldnt read anymore because it was so tedious! i read most of it though and im gonna read the rest afterward.

  • @JBluv47 Tedious?! If you're at page 310 then you should have seen some of the best scenes!

  • as good as the movie is it doesn't portray just how bad Efrafa was. In the movie Blackavar is really skiddish, but in the book he is loosing his mind.

  • So then if the rabbit talking to BigWig isn't Campian, he must be The Rabbit that Vurvain is in the mini series

  • "Yeah! Yeah! You pleanty good fellow." lol I love that bird. He is soo cool. Anyone know if the book is as good as the movie? Makes me want to read it.

  • @ScarletNightWatchman yeah it is! I read the book and it great!

  • @ScarletNightWatchman CamoWulf's right. The book is incredible - I had to replace my copy, I read it so much growing up it fell to pieces.

  • @ScarletNightWatchman the book is amazing, i read it last semester while I was supposed to be cramming for finals, i couldn't put it down

  • You'll be identified, by your mark.

    "scratch"

    -(Bitch)

  • What are those other rabbits Nazi bunnies O.o?

I mean seriously how they chased them they ran at the same pace and thier eyes are pure blue!

  • the bird mentioned irn-bru ? lol

  • This movie is so nerve racking! I love it!

  • @mashimarogurl

it looks like rust from the nails :S

  • this movie scared the shit out of me.

  • "keehar...keehar... YOU WAIT HERE!" hehehe i love Keehar!

  • I've seen this movie many times, but just noticed.. What's up with the 'blood' on the fence at 1:35??

  • @mashimarogurl Fights happend there i suppose

  • @mashimarogurl

No, I think it's just rust from the nails.

  • seperated at birth, gen wolmwould and nick griffin.
