Neat build video, did you use CA on the joints after you fit or did you use wood glue? I am going to build a Four-Star 20 soon as my first kit build (ARFs are boring!) and I'm not sure what the proper procedures are for glueing.
@E744763Productions I use yellow carpenters glue to bond two pieces of wood together, when there is lots of surface mating. In this case I put weights on top while it dries. When there is little surface, like a spar to an airfoil piece, i use CA. You can use CA for everything but the carpenters glue is cheaper for gluing large pieces together.
Nice vid and good choice in airplanes. I have a 4*40 which I love, but if I ever wreck it I'd build a 4*60...the 60 is the perfect size because it's easier to see in the air but still fits inside a car unlike a 4*120. Also, the 60 kit is the easiest-building 4* kit. The 40 kit is hardly bad, but was disappointing after building my trainer Lt-40 kit which was fantastic. The 4*60 kit is more like the Lt40 with many pre-shaped parts. Have fun!
Everything is in the box and all the major parts are laser cut. You'll need your knife to release the parts from the sheets and to trim the balsa covering pieces.
how hard are these kits to build becase i needa plane that is the next step up from a trainer but i have help only from dad who doesn't fly , no experiance and am only 14. it's either this or a H-9 Pulse xt unless you have any other sugestions
Both are excellent choices. The Pulse is the latest generation, with a removable hatch for access to batteries if you go electric or just want access at the filed without removing the wing. The Pulse is a very refined ARF, but it's not offered as a kit. I need to build, so the SIG was my choice. I haven't flown the Pulse, but a friend has one and it seems to fly great.
would i be able to build this kit? i have no building experiance at all and have no help. will i need any other tool other than the basics and is everything needed in the box?
I like this airplane, although it may have some faults. It's a handful for me to land in the wind, so I don't, I fly the Twist on windy days. It will go vertical on take-off with the AX-75 a 14 inch prop. I'm using Li-Ion for the receiver, so batteries are light. I fly this before the Funtana or the new Extra to get my thumbs working.
pretty cool to see it slowly assemble... but move the box cover away, we dont need to see the front picture over and over, show the model

Awesome. I'm thinking of getting a 4* 60 kit because I built a sig LT-40 kit this winter (all winter) and i'm learning fast. Great vid.
