I never understood in some of Season 1 episodes that Megatron orders the other Decepticons to transform when engaging in battle. Aren't they already in robot mode when the battle begins, so what would be the point of telling them to transform!?

Man, I can't believe I grew up watching and loving Generation 2. Compared with the original episodes, it's practically unwatchable with all these stupid computer animated scene transitions!

But, at least this novel update kept it on the air through the 90's, otherwise I would have never been introduced to it.

YUP.....its like watching on rollercoaster mode. Watching G1 is more better. Although G1 lacks continuity and low animatic graphics but its still the best.

I think transformers G1 is one of few series that has a movie which is canonity to its series.

People do some research before commenting please. Transformers "G2" *was* G1 with new animations that is ALL IT WAS. seibertronsei is right on. Stay cool man.

g2 doesnt have the same episodes from g1

G2 didn't use EVERY episode from G1, but there weren't any new episodes. It was just the same episodes with new scene changes.

@seibertronsei Although they did alter the editing, even removing entire scenes at times. In this episode, for example, they removed most of the vehicle scans from which the computer based the new Transformer designs (interestingly, one of the vehicles was a Formula One car with an advertisement for Gitanes cigarettes). The sequence is rather long and nothing really happens, so it's obvious why it was removed.

Yes, it is G2. G2 was NOT a new cartoon, it was just recycled episodes of the G1 cartoon. The CGI fillers weren't in G1, so that was the only new thing added.
