Professor Layton and the Curious Village Puzzle #042: The Camera and Case

I will explain this:

The price of the camera is "exacly" 300 more than the case. The price for the case must be between 1 and 9. What happens if you think it would be 1$ for the case ? Camera price: case+300. We said that case is 1$:

1$+300$= 301$. So the camera costs 301$ and the case 1$. But this is not right, because the SET costs 310. And 301$+1$ is NOT 310$.

While for the right answer: 5$ + 300$ = 305$. Camera costs 305$ and case 5$. Now add them together.. the rest should be clear enough?

this one is SO hard and took me so longg after reading the hints to figure it out. i was constantly like almost getting it but then when id reach a number id forget completely how i got there or where to go next cuz id be like so focused and barely able to understand. kinda reminded me of when of subtracting without carrying the number in like grade 2

I don't get why the camera can't be 300 and the case 10 so you need 90 back.

because the diference between 300 and 10 would be of 290,but the puzzle says that the diference between the price of each other must have 300 of diference,in that case,the camera costs 305 and the case costs 5
