Yes, EnriqueCross You are correct and thank you for showing my other comment about Millo on another post. She always is a joy to hear, many are Jealous and so narrow minded that she was a threat when she came on the scene for their idols like Tebaldi and Ponselle because she had the qualities they had and it scared these fanatic fans. If you read the Bjorling book Jussi his late wife calls them fanatics not fans. We love Tebaldi also but for me and many others Millo is very special, forever.

Maintenant, il y a quelques choses qui m'agace c'est que beaucoup d'internautes comparent sa voix à celle de Tebaldi. Or, cette dernière a toujours été limitée dans l'aigue, aucune agilité alors que la jeune Millo = jeune Caballe, piani superbes, agilité et legato incomparable....
Jeune Tebaldi l'a eu tout. Une voix d'énormes puissance et beauté. Le Millo est beaucoup un goût sien et ils étaient de grands amis. Je pense que Millo est un hybride du meilleur de Milanov, de Tebaldi, et du Caballe magnifique. Est-ce que là personne n'est comme elle et la chose heureuse est-elle ? Millo est seulement 49 ! Dieu bénissent Mario.
Visiblement certaines personnes n'ont pas d'oreilles. Le timbre de A. Millo est velours, chaud, les coloratures toujours très sûrs. Hélas, depuis sa moyenne performance, puis son départ du Met dans I Lombardi, l'a définitivement grillée. Elle n'avait plus la voix pour le rôle, dommage. Ceci dit, elle reste et restera dans mon cœur une artiste exceptionnelle probablement sans équivalent depuis Montserrat Caballé.

Vous avez la raison de célébrer, elle est encore monumental. Les assistances encouragées et encouragées pour son considérant en Espagne en début août. Réjouissez-vous.

I heard her in Fanciulla at Carnegie Hall. It was an experience. Double orchestra, and she soared over everyone. I saw her do Forza in Torino in 94, and 2005 for Otello, the voice was lush and everything you would hope for. God I love her. Stay storng aprile, some will hate you for the glory that is in your throat.
She simply the best old school of italian opera singer on stage today. She has so much intensity on her singing, surpassing all other contemporary sopranos. She has an incredible artistic personality that brings us to the verge of another dimension of delights. Brava, Aprile!
This voice is a total dream. You never hear this anymore. She's one in a million blessed with the voice of this quality and caliber. Only Tebaldi and Zeani come close in beauty and quality of the voice. Renee and Kiri also have gorgeous instruments but not this kind of power that can shake you to the core.
opera in the superficial age cares about weight. It isn't hidden, she is young and can lose the weight. Opera cannot afford to settle for singing mannequins, we need this great voice.
this cav choral was to have been sung by another singer and the Rome opera preferred Millo-last minute they gave it. The Pirata was a concert in NY where everyone used the music. Have you seen every concert she has ever given?
I love Montserrat Caballe and Aprile Millo.

To my judgement Aprile Millo is the best soprano of her generation and has the most beautiful voice in Italian opera since Claudia Muzio!!!
