I don't see how you moved from "God knows everything" to "no free will." You don't know what God knows, therefore you still have the means to make a choice and love Him. God could very well "know" that you had the chance for forgiveness and you ddnt take it because of your OWN choices, not His. Whats stopping you? Free will is the ability to make ones choices on your own, predestined or not--because you don't know what exactly WAS predestined.
@SSNWalker Free will has everything to do with it. God being all-knowing doesnt take away the fact that you have a choice to obey Him or not. And you'll have to own up to that fact one day whether you believe it'll happen or not. If God forced you to believe in Him, it wouldn't be love. But the overwhelming lack of evidence for the existence of any gods and the inconsistancies pertaining to those that have been claimed is more than enough reason for me not to believe. As far as "inviting" Jesus into my life goes: been there, done that thousands of times over. How do you know there's only one God? Maybe you should pray to Zeus, Allah and all the others just to be sure?
Even if so your experience cannot explain the existance of god or anything else, the only way to prove anything is EVIDENCE personal experience accounts for nothing. I too have thought i have seen or felt things but i can rationalize through logic and reason. I do not jump to conclusions, there could be a perfectly logical explanation for your neighbourhoods experience? @sucarnie The brain is a very powerful organ and many people experience lots of things but for me its all in your head, you can misinterperate things and then you make sense of it because you want to see it, you want the illusion to be true so badly that you convince yourself thats what it was. I have heard many peoples experiences of this type and 99.9% of them can be explained by chance and no more than that. There is no evidence for anything supernatural. Perception is not fact!

@sucarnie I am sure that human conformity comes into play in these types of experiences you must have seen studies where you put people in a room ask them questions and sooner than later they all have the same answers. Religion has the same effect the need to conform to a group or stereotype to which you want to fit, critical thinking has been taken away just like reason or logic. The suvival of the human race has been shown through evolution that conformity is a self preservation tool.

God could very well "know" that you had the chance for forgiveness and you ddnt take it because of your OWN choices, not His. Whats stopping you?
