@MrFreyze Not exactly. The combat system is in a league of it's own, but since this game was made by "ex-capcom" members, the presentation might come off as "similar to DMC". Then again, Platinum used to be Clover Studios, so maybe they got their inspiration from Viewtiful Joe (With the whole "time slowdown thing).
Never played this game, though I've heard good things about it. If it has the same production value as Devil May Cry, and the same/similar style of action as DMC, I'm sold.

Long story mode, great replay value, in depth fighting system, many weapons, great cut scenes, great special moves, great music. Bayonetta should definitely get a sequel. Why no 10/10? lame characters (other than Bayonetta) and not that great of a storyline.

I honestly have played the game and loved it. It kinda resembled devil may cry in the beginning, but honestly it's more like God of War with the scale of things.. Kinda like a god of war + devil may cry=hot librarian who goes naked!

When I first say this game, it had Devil May Cry written all over it except for the story line and the fact that she doesn't use a sword. Devil May Cry, I loved but I hated for not having a story in till 3 and 4. In this they have a story but it can only limit itself to this game since the story is her saving her daughter. For this score I would go with Joe and say its a 4/10.
I think this game is all right i mean i'm not really into these kinds of games but i actually played the whole game and got most of the unlocks. Why? because i actually could play it. I'm not a full time console player and i don't do daily finger yoga so i'm not a master if the controller and playing this game came naturally to me and that's a big +. Devil May Cry is good for hardcore players but really unfriedly to noobs like me where in this game makes you feel like a badass :D
Well at first i was totally against the Game, i'm a big Devil May Cry fan and still prefer the DMC Series because Dante is just awesome but Bayonetta really shockt me... somehow it was abit more fun then DMC and the Cinematics where just hilarious. But once you have beaten it you might just play it one more time for the hell of it and that's it. Like i said it's a 20$ Game.

I freaking LOVE this game. SEGA went ALL the way with this, and I compliment them for that. Hottest gaming girl ever? Yes. Great story? Yes. Horrifying monsters? Yes. Great action and blood-racing moments? Yes. Adrenaline Boost? Totally. My hands got sweaty from playing this game. (Thanks to all of the action and Bayonetta herself) But this game just totally blew me away with it's visuals, also, experimenting with HOW far they could go with the exposing. Nice review Joe! 9001/10 But a 4/10???

@TurningJappanesse Actually the music fits the feeling of the game, and honestly the main character is on of the hottest female main characters i have seen for a long long time.
This is just your own opinion, please be more open-minded when you do a comment.
I honestly have played the game and loved it. It kinda resembled devil may cry in the beginning, but honestly it's more like God of War with the scale of things.. Kinda like a god of war + devil may cry=hot librarian who goes naked!

@geenius3ab The music made me wanna kill myself. The first song in the game was good, but the music in the cemetary and everywhere else was annoying. The singing is like from a bad anime. The chick is hot, but I don't play games for hot chicks. I don't care if she's sexy. She's animated. I don't wanna fuck animated women. The action was there, but the characters were annoying. You got a morpheus wanna-be, danny devito ripoff, and this annoying witch. The story is cool, but the game is too easy.

There are games that you play just for the experience, and in Bayonetta the experience was certainly there, and even after finishing you still had a good feeling about the game.
Who said that you have to fuck animated women?
The music really fits the main characters powers.. It is something you would hear while going to a barber. And add sick powers and blood and angels and everything.. It is pretty fitting.
Everyone has a different taste, it all comes up to that..

@geenius3ab No, believe me the action was fucking hardcore.The story was very intersesting. The graphics were pretty good, but everything else sucked. Bad voice acting, lame enemies, shitty weapons(i.e. the whip), the ending sucked, the characters were annoying, the music made me sick, and overall I would rate the game a 4/10. The singing was sooooooooo BAD! The chick they got to sing was like from a shitty anime, like I said earlier. I just didn't like it. Now Heavenly Sword was badass!

The weapons rocked in my opinion, so it's subjective.
Lame enemies?,, Like honestly.. I loved the enemies, and most of the fights were just pure epic.
I loved the voice acting.
Shitty anime song?.. This is really really different from any other anime song I have ever heard..
This is subjective.. You like something I don't and it goes the other way as well..

@geenius3ab Hey, if you like it. You like it. I just couldn't get into it. I didn't like that enemy with two dragons coming out of an upside down face. It looked creepy and deformed. I didn't like the way the angels looked like animals. I hated morpheus and danny devito. I didn't like how currency were halos when it's obviously sonic rings. I just didn't like it. The way you fought with guns felt bad. I kept imagining them as knives. Shooting your enemies was cool and that witch time thing.

Lawl that game looks fucking stupid a complete joke... there's porn for what this game offers... and the flashy "hack and slash" it offers, to me, diminishes the actual gameplay, it makes great moves seem kinda irrelevent to how the fights gonna go. All in all, crappy game...

When I first say this game, it had Devil May Cry written all over it except for the story line and the fact that she doesn't use a sword. Devil May Cry, I loved but I hated for not having a story in till 3 and 4. In this they have a story but it can only limit itself to this game since the story is her saving her daughter. For this score I would go with Joe and say its a 4/10.

I think this game is all right i mean i'm not really into these kinds of games but i actually played the whole game and got most of the unlocks. Why? because i actually could play it. I'm not a full time console player and i don't do daily finger yoga so i'm not a master if the controller and playing this game came naturally to me and that's a big +. Devil May Cry is good for hardcore players but really unfriedly to noobs like me where in this game makes you feel like a badass :D

Well at first i was totally against the Game, i'm a big Devil May Cry fan and still prefer the DMC Series because Dante is just awesome but Bayonetta really shockt me... somehow it was abit more fun then DMC and the Cinematics where just hilarious. But once you have beaten it you might just play it one more time for the hell of it and that's it. Like i said it's a 20$ Game.
