the 2zz-ge engine that was in the toyota was replaced by a k20, a k20 has more revs then the 2zz so its not a bad swap, its a little better then the 2zz but not by much. you get the extra 20-30bhp which in an ultra light car like the exige is like 100 more HP to a 3k lb car.

i believe all K-series have i-vtec. now its whether or not the vtec works off both cams. so the k24 to get is the TSX k24a2 engine. same power as a k20a2 RSX-S, but more torque. its just like the k20 head on a k24 short block. the k20/24"frankenstein swap"

the other k24's yes, they basically suck, but you could still use the block and swap in a k20 head and have the real vtec everyone likes for more power.
