  • Who ever said you can't believe in both GOD and EVOLUTION (Darwinism) (I do.)? It's a sin to be so willlfully ignorant of science. Ancient civilizations had both religion (in some form) and science; their religion never stopped them from aking questions and getting answers. Do they realize how STUPID they soun when they say things like, "Oh, man walked with dinosaurs." and "The Earth is only 6,000 years old." etc.? Religion and Science are two seperate things, stop trying to combine them.

  • @xXxRetroSquirrelxXx being a Christian implies a)you can't earn your way into God's 'good books' or Heaven, by trying to be good b)you have humbled yourself to allow a personal relationship with the living Jesus, and c)You accept that the Bible is God's main way of revealing himself to us. Do you think God might be capable of revealing Himself in a way we can identify with? So, Genesis and Darwinism are entirely irreconcilable, despite what some 'creative' theologians might say!

  • @xXxRetroSquirrelxXx I agree it takes a major paradigm shift to accept the truth of the Bible, which rarely happens over night! But if you can set aside the presumptions of contemporary historical science, you will see that Creationists ARE building a case (not to PROVE the Bible or the existence of God, that can never be done EITHER WAY intellectually) , and that they illuminate legitimate flaws and fallacies of current orthodox thinking.

  • You're right. This song conclusively proves that evolution is a myth. And that god has a sense of humour

  • "When it comes to knowing the past, there is only one honest answer: beyond written, verifiably dated history, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PROVE ANYTHING ABOUT THE PAST WITHOUT MAKING UNPROVABLE ASSUMPTIONS." - using that ignorant way of thinking, how can written stuff be verifiable? If you weren't actually there, so what if several people wrote about it? You have no proof that it wasn't a conspiracy in the first place. Moron.

  • There are many ways documented history can be verified both as to date and to accuracy, including stone inscriptions and the like as 'documents'. It's one of the things historians and interpreters do. There is historical data which can be regarded as 'safe', and other data, such as the founding of the Roman Empire as not safe. The few surviving documents we have of Roman Empire History date to 900 years after the event, and could well be biased, as Rome was well know as a source of propoganda.

  • And you're saying the Bible is not a source of propaganda, or biased in any way? Listen to yourself. You're being ridiulous simply because you don't want to accept that you're wrong.

  • Where have I said that? How do you ever hope to have a sensible conversation if you keep putting words into other peoples' mouths? My comments are merely what 'orthodox' research shows.Your contribution to this conversation has been sarcastic nay-saying.I wonder if you ever stop long enough to dig deep inside yourself to discover what you REALLY believe.. if you really believe anything?"When men stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing. They believe in anything" attrib. G K Chesterton

  • I do wish YouTube would introduce negative ratings.

  • In which case 99.99% of YouTube content would have a negative rating!!!

  • Perhaps you'd prefer my other video "Mind Control"!

  • Is there any reason you've essentially ripped off an Ian Brown song? Is it because his nickname is King Monkey?

  • Until your comment I wasn't aware of Ian Brown's solo work. I've now had a bit of a surf, and can't find which song you mean, unless it's a vague similarity between this and a short intro. hook in 'Dolphins are Monkeys'. So I haven't ripped of an Ian Brown song - I'm sure he would be the first to agree, and I'm sure he wouldn't like this one.

  • "ask Jesus to forgive your sinful nature and be Lord of your life, and prove His reality personally - if you do this with an honest heart, you will not be disappointed!"

...seriously? I won't be disappointed? What, will he come and bless me personally?

  • Tom, he will come to live within you and exibit His prescence by the change occuring in your life because of Him.

And He will come physically at the second coming, when he will take those who believe to be with Him, but those who do not will be thrown into the lake of fire.

  • Have you ever heard of Blaise Pascal? If you were going to bet on the existence of God, I'd use his reasoning.

And I'd probably apply his reasoning to the quote in your comment. Just a thought.

  • What have you got to lose? Nothing. What have you got to gain? Everything. That's what he means by "you will not be disappointed"

  • Pascal's Wager is really flawed, though. It tells you that you are more likely to get anywhere by believing in God, but it doesn't actually tell you to believe in God, and, anyway, one cannot suddenly say 'Okay, I'm going to believe in God from now on for my own good' as the seeds of doubt had already been sown.

  • Well, of course it doesn't tell you to believe in God. Only you yourself can make that decision. Honestly, I would only apply his logic to situations where someone really truly is committed to believing in God. "Believing" in God simply because you might get rewarded later on isn't really the idea at all. However, skepticism and doubt are part of human nature, and most people who believe in God have doubts at some time or another. Fortunately, He seems to be very patient and forgiving.

  • O rlly? Patient and forgiving? What, he hasn't smited you with a great ball of fire - yet?

  • Yeah, patient and forgiving. You know that whole thing about Jesus dying for everyone's sins so we can all go to heaven? Yeah. But even so, I don't know how God really works - what about those evil, evil people in history or alive today? I'm not going to pretend I know the answer.

And a great ball of fire? Come on, did you expect me to say yes?

  • Pascal's Wager - argued by experts for decades!Christian faith declares itself as evidential faith, not blind faith.Does personal knowledge of Jesus Christ produce encounters with God?It would seem so,,, change people for the better? healing? miracles of provision? Seems so... God's love is a promise. So is His declaration to give blessings if you trust Him, or curses (meaning limitations) if you don't. I can believe in His love, because The News shows me His promises are fulfilled every day.

  • @hexachordal Sorry it's taken so long to reply to your comment. All I know is that at a time in my life of great confusion, unexplainable events led me to a WHOLE-bible-believing church, where I found people who knew how to love in a way totally new to me, and that by submitting to Christ in a personal direct way, He lifted a whole weight of sin and guilt from me, and continues to bless me often - but not necessarily in 'tangible' ways; A REAL and life-changing experience. I recommend it!

  • Physical Evidence and Reasoned Logic?

  • No dispute about the evidence! It's the worldview brought to the evidence which is changable - both Evolutionists and Creationists fit evidence into their chosen worldviews, in ways entirely logical within each framework. I believe creation by a loving, purposful caring God is a MORE magnificent vision than evolution. As Evolutionists gloss over the lie that Nothing about the past is provable, and most of their 'evidence' has proven wrong, shallow or fraudulent, I know which I'd rather trust!

  • Kindly share what 'evidence' has been 'proved wrong, shallow or fraudulent'. Age estimates of the earth are not simply guesses - implying such nonsense shows how ignorant you are of science.

If you don't wish to bother to understand evolution, etc, that's okay. But bear in mind that evolution/biology/genetics are interdependent on each other. Everyone relies on this for simple medicines. Science built your computer out of simple quantum theory, so is science that evil to you?

  • A char. count of 500 is no media for such discussion.

Science:a method, neither good nor evil.

The APPLICATION of empirical science (technology) gave me my computer, totally different to assumption-based historical science. I was 'educated' in evolution through the horse sequence, Neanderthal man as a missing link, Kettlewells's moths, Lucy as proto-human and much more; all have since been disproved or severely doubted. You don't know me, so don't accuse me of ignorance or implying nonsense.

  • "You don't know me, so don't accuse me of ignorance or implying nonsense."

I think we can all pretty much tell from this one video your thoughts on the matter - 'knowing you' has nothing to do with it. You're backing yourself into a hole.

  • GeologyofOhio ASSUMED that I'm "ignorant of science", because he doesn't know me.If he did, he'd know that I'm far from ignorant of science. I would add to my comments above about technology that a) it is on record that no aspect of Biology nor Geology - other than historical so-called science - either depend on or have been advanced by Evolutionary philosophy in any way, and b) there is nothing simple about quantum theory!!!
