not always, in the frost tree now there are certain talents to invest in that increase your frost damage if you use 1h weapons and dual wield.

Also a lot of arena is on burst. Burst, CC and mobility. So you are going to get little time on target really, couple of seconds at most - 1handers enable you to wack out great burst as opposed to a 2 hander in Frost.

Or... like he does in the movie, just use all CD's from start for getting higher DoTs to start with, would be a wise one in a 5men HC. Because the fights dont last that long, so youre not sure that youre Procs from trinkets or whatever gets to proc in time :-)

Glyph of Pestilence is a nice glyph. Though it's not really wise to take as Frost. Why? It simply doesn't refresh Icy Talons while Glyph of Howling Blast does. (correct me if this got updated)

Firstly, he's dps in this video isn't accurate because BcB and Necrosis only hits for 1 (doesn't do over-kill damage) and also, he will be doing an extra 12% damage (Merciless Combat)

Secondly, Unholy sub-spec has proven to be vastly superior for single target dps then Blood sub-spec. The most points in blood you would put in is 3 for Subversion

IIT is a must in a DW frost dps build as it increases your PPM of KM - this means no GoD

KOG4769, maybe it just works for me, but assuming you're using blood presence you'll always have something to spend your GCDs on. To add another 10RP with glyph of IIT may not be the best as you'll have an obliterate or something handy anyway. Personally I use disease, obliterate and frost strike. I used to use IIT till I realised I was getting too much RP and didn't have enough GCDs to spend it on. My dps only went from 5.3k to 5.5k in raids, but still. If it dosn't work for you, no worries. <3

Use glyph of icy touch instead of glyph of disease imo and take the points from ''ravenous dead'' and ''necrosis'' and put them in ''icy talons'', ''improved icy talons'' and ''bladed armor''

And don't use /castsequence because in many encounters you will change target and you maby just want to burst dmg to make the dps

If you use glyph of disease theres no reason to have imp icy talons cause your not refreshing IT regularly hence waste of points

You'd get a considerable increase in DPS if you used a Slow / Slow setup for Frost DW. Replace Split Greathammer with Angry Dread or another Razorscale Talon if you can.

And also, take out that Pest in your Macro 1 with another BS unless you're using glyph of disease, and if have that glyph you'd be better off using the 3/51/17 spec instead.

take the two points from butchery out and put one into icy talons to finish it and the 2nd into Deathchill, a massive crit every 2 mintues makes for more dps also for some reason I never put points into Merciless Combat, I always figure that if its below 35% the extra damage isn't gonna matter that much so i put the 2 points into Imp icy talons to increase overall raid damage and the final bit of Necrosis since haste will effect white hits more than anything else

bosses have alot of HP below 35% might be 2-3mins and or even 10 mins depending the fight and frost DW gets so many KM procs Deathchill isnt worth it TBH i agree with the rest

Wouldnt it make sense to drop Butchery and put the point in Icy Talons and Imp. Icy Talons? I'm no expert but somehow the benefit of getting a small amount runic power every 5 sec vs. 9% haste seems like a bad/odd choice, especially when you are DWing.

Nicely edited video, but 3.7k dw dps isn't something to write home about. Also note the dummy is virtually "dead" so your attacks are being affected by Mericless Combat.
