My favorites were Reimi and Myuria. My last party ended up being these two, Edge and Bacchus.

Bacchus was a badass, though! If you took MegaMan's personality chip and Mega Buster and put them onto GutsMan, that's what you would get.

@ColeVecsion resonance of fate is the biggest insult to jrpg's, probably because it was produced by sega. but seriously it wasn't even funny for the most part it was down right stupidity and most of the humor was equivalent to that of a children's cartoon with slightly maturer themes, sure some of the scenes were pretty funny but the majority were just *facepalm* wourthy. as for seriousness the game has no serious value and the gameplay is tedius and forced. resonace of fate = crap game

@DarkByakko true but theres a differrence, star ocean 4's cast are more developed and the corny humor found in the game is a form of character development whereas in resonance of fate it's just unnecesarry. at least the star ocean 4 cast are somewhat interesting i mean you gotta admit a ship of multi planetary beings is going to be a madhouse and tri ace wanted to get that point across. the resonance of fate cast are lifeless and uninteresting.

@DarkByakko and on the gameplay side of things theres no contest really resonance of fates combat is so compact that you have to level grind to beat bosses which is not the way rpgs are supposed to be, your supposed to use strategy but resonance of fate doesn't give you many combat options it only gives you differrent weapons, star ocean has many differrent gameplay options and though it may be tedius at parts it's alot more varied and requires little wait time.

if they weren't supposed to be that way they wouldn't be that way. the fact that they give you that option proves that.

@DarkByakko i expected that reply. obviously you didn't understand what i was saying. rpgs don't force you to level grind, they merely give you the option, almost every rpg game can be rushed through without needing to grind but resonance of fate forces you to grind thus defeating the object and making the gameplay more tedius because you have to do pointless crap to proceed through the main story. side quests should be optional but in ROF they're not

@DarkByakko that's exactly my point i don't wanna have to fight in the battle arena before continuing on through the storyline i wanna dive straight in thats the biggest flaw of resonance of fate otherwise it's tolerable. the fact is that all the guild quests are forced unlike the shop quests in star ocean 4 which are entirely optional. no one wants to be forced through tedious side quests, they are merely to add to the lifespan of the game
