  • My point is ford and chevy need eachother. they strive to do better than one another which gave us the camaro, mustang, caprice, capri, nova, fairlane, chevelle, falcon. mostly all your favorites.... SS's and GT's.

  • Honestlyi love FORD. but chevys are cool too. americans need to get this asian shit out of america and back into asia or wherever. Besides AMERICA needs FORD. Without FORD, CHEVROLET wouldnt have any competition because, well we all no MoPar is shit:).

  • Fuck ford . Sales dont mean anything. Poor fools that buy them

  • Taken off the highway for safety reasons? No one told me! My trusty Rampside did 5 years of duty as my daily driver, covering 20-40K per year, and it was a champ!

Make sure you know your facts before opening your mouth. Your ass is showing.

  • This video is just fun as hell to watch, especially the srtiped down chassie cab with the apples falling off. Too funny. Its very hard to find non biased advertisements, after all how are you supposed to sell your stuff. I do like the jackin at opposite corners to test it's rigidness. Oh, and so theres no confusion, "Dirty jobs" lost some points with me, lol JK Mike, I will still watch your show. Go Chevy

  • they both make different kinds of crap. end of debate.

  • for me chevy will always be the best no matter what

  • this makes me laugh, i'm a ford guy but i have to admit that the uni-body wasn't the greatest design. but in my drive way i have a 1961 mercury uni-body short box that is worth 10 of those chevys. oh ya, and we have had 1, 2, and 3 ton fords that have never rode as bad as that fag makes it look like in this ad....ever. advertisements haven't changed at all

  • @4:52 that guy is purposly moveing up and down. haha the begining of brand bs

  • @RM250D8rzr you got that right.

  • There is no sound. Originally there would have been a record played at the same time as the video.

  • Wheres the sound ?????????????

  • this is stupid most of this stuff is about raction those little tires on the ford wont provide any traction and when you floor it like that there goes traction i wanna see one person try to hold a car in place and when they push the ford notice that they have it floored agian with the pickups what idiot would jack the front and rear up

  • It dosn't matter what kind of Crap GM pulls in the comparison catagory, Sales prove who the No 1 is, and it isn't Any GM bran. So far in 2010, the combined sales of GMC and Chevy are not as much as the ford f series, and you can take that to the bank!!

  • 1:33 seriously though who can go up to a guy who's riding a crotch rocket and say (HEY! I bet I can do a better stoppie than you in my pickup!

  • sweet i want one of them old ford trucks vans what ever u wanna call em

  • more chevy biased media. no wonder these chevy hammerhead kids today are so misguided. chev has great 6 cyls smooth coils yes. but they don't show a year later when the chev's coils broke and the chev's cab was rusted out and the doors wired on, and the ford still decent. all those chevy biased magazines make them too much money, i wouldn't take a boxy ugly clunky old chev for free

  • my '71 would like to disagree with you.one front coil finally broke about 2000 and the rear coils are still fine.the truck isn't rusty at all.well, rust free as a unrestored 39 year old truck can be

  • this just proves to me that chevy lied back then and continues to lie today. well, the sales do the speaking, and its more ford then chevy.

  • that is total bs that the corvair truck had handling issues!!! I'm 18 i bought the truck when i was 15, it has a been a work horse, and the rear tires have so much traction!!! only time the rear end has slipped was when i took a turn to fast, and it slid only about a foot to the sidebefore catching again, the coravir truck is an amazing vehicle and Nader was an idiot to oppose it

  • it might not have handling issues but it sure is an ugly peice of crap.

  • I've seen Chevy trucks that were broke in half, I've seen where their fancy torsion bars broke off the rusted frames as well as their trailing arms in the rear. I grew up around auto salvage, and in my opinion GM never made a better truck than Ford or Dodge. Also, a GM engine can never take being overheated without screwing something up, whereas I have seen Ford and Chrysler engines over heat to the point of locking up, then cool back down and go for a few more years!

  • Dude, you're a moron, you cant overheat a motor without causing damage in SOME WAY. Furthermore, I had a SB 400 in my 74 Chevy 3/4 ton, overheated it to the point where it shut down and granted I had to replace the heads but I did and it ran strong as ever. Just TRY telling me that overheating ANY motor wont warp the heads, BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you know ford has been using torsion bars for their 4x4s for about 13 years right?they used it to replace the shitty TTB axle that rides like shit and wear tires weird

  • @carlbesola i have seen a ford over heat like that but not a chevy u run a chevy hot just alittle and its gone and the dodge its the same way the dodge when it loses it oil pressure its gone but i have seen both chevy and ford run after losing oil pressure but u can run a ford all day long with no oil pressure and it still wont quit

  • chevy was making them the best back then, and still are

  • My econoline wasnt this bad either I never have liked the way the corvairs looked but also am not dissing chevies just prefer fords.

  • what they don't tell you is how bad the Chevy van sways in the corners, like a pendulum effect hence rear mounted motor, which is dangerous in corners or on wet or icy road conditions, just like the VW Beetle and Porsche and Covair car, and any rear mounted engine vehicle, they tend to fish tale easily, also this is a very biased video and proves nothing, at the end of the day more old Fords are still on the road from this time period then General Mishaps trucks, the fords got the work done!

  • I have a Ford Econoline truck....and it isnt as bad as this one.

  • omg the chevy breaking into on the jack test

  • to bad there is no sound ....thanks for the upload

  • lol good breaks on the ford .....that back ways nothing on it it would do bitching burn outs....

  • you know what they did dont you to make chevy look better they turned the brakes up on the front

  • No matter what. That was a scary 60-0 stop test with the Ford truck...YIKES!

  • hey, gw: ive subscribed to ure channel! keep the faith, bro!

    peace out and corvair/chevy dreams!

  • gw: amen brother! ive driven so many p/up trucks and vans for the military it aint even funny. i must say my dad's vair vans and rampy's beat them any day! plenty of power (for even more drop a 140 in em) 2 ways of loading and unloading AND they get 30 mpg. nice ride on the road and really nice to have the weight on the back wheels (better traction in slick conditions). obviously, they wernt made to go mudding. but, if u want a great work/camping/traveling vehicle with good mpg corvair is it!

  • also why didn't they show the Chevy Covair van fish tailing off the road? hence all that weight in the rear, which all adds up to the classic pendulum effect,

  • your an idiot go buy a toyota pussssss

  • A very persuasive arguement. The logic is almost Vulcan!

  • Another piece of che#y garbage. I laugh at some of the things they come up with to "promote" their inferior products!

  • You know, if I was to take the 200lb counter weight off the back of my econoline pickup and put it at the nose of the cab, I bet it would act just like the one in this video. At least I have a place in the back of the truck to load things. My engine is next to me, up out of the way, not at the back where the tailgate is supposed to be.

  • Ford didn't put the counter weight in the E-line when this video was made.

Let's see, the bed on my RAMPside is 31" deep, and I have a ramp for ease of loading. Wheeled a fridge into the back of your E-line any time lately?

Oh yeah, my Rampside is rated for 20lbs short of a ton. How much can your Econoline carry?

I also have another video of a later '63 Econoline van (with the 175lb counterweight) that does exactly the same thing under braking.

  • Glad I found this at VV... Priceless... I'm gonna' buy a Rampy!

  • Chevy Owns Ford

  • LOL,so true
