I said it once, and I am saying at this very moment while watching the vid.."The Lugano Concert" was 10.000 times better than the video of the "Tsongas Concert" (a very weak and plain performance)....I LOVE THE LUGANO CONCERT !!! THEY SHOULD IT RELEASED
Jon is YES is Jon . . , any other way is a tribute band so I say sorry to all the others still practicing without Jon…… Chris Alan Steve Benoit Geoff these men are now the YES tribute band and that’s all I have to say about that.
What's cool about this group is they play it just like the record, they don't go changing it up and ad libbing here and there so you can count on a solid performance everytime These guys had one of the best light shows I've ever seen, rivals Pink Floyd and ELO.
Whoa this is such an optimistic, diverse, and beautiful song! I love the high-vocals and the lower vocal background contrast.; it's impreccable! This music is also very advanced and complex, and one of the reasons I love progressive rock n' roll music. I read a biography of Yes and the founding members said they wanted to create a band with excellence in vocals, and they have it!
They got old like everybody else but this song live they rocked it, and this is a very beautiful and interestingly layered cool song which is very fun to listen to!
I have never heard them play this song in any Yes concert I have seen, which is about 6 times. Don't know why they never played it. But, it is nice to see it in concert here on the computer! Sounds great and I love this song!!!!!!!!
@streetservant That's why YES is the best baby. God i wish i had lived during the 70's and 80's(well i was born in 1983 but that doesn't really count) Music was so great back then. Would ahve loved to see these gus live back then. Music sucks so bad now
I really like this version of GFTO, maybe even more than the studio version. I feel like the studio version is too cluttered with sound. The way they play it here seems less like trying to fill space and more musicianship. Maybe that's just an issue with the recording equipment on the album.
and that's just what you're imagining it sounding like! imagine.... i've wanted to approach Jon about this. i think it'd be a helluva way to kick off an already much sought after reunion. i'd cry too. this is possibly the nicest exchange i've ever had on Youtube. usually, if people agree, it's pleasant enough. however, if they don't agree, you get a remark like, "you suck at life!", or whatever.... cheers mate. appreciate the comment!
Great concert- goodness! almost 8 years ago!, Yes is a great band that could use its lead singer, Jon Anderson, back on stage with them.

The way they are able to leave the original songtheme completely and always manage to come back, still amazes me. Awesome!

this is a brilliant song, period. It really bugs me the fact that they always play it in a lower key, though.

then YES.

That's Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Check it out, it's an amazing piece.

i've always wanted YES to join the last moment of that excerpt from The Firebird with the huge string theme from Apocalypse in And You And I.
imagine them starting a gig that way when Jon recovers.
that could be a devastating moment.
i think i'd weep with joy.
argoninja2112 3 years ago
Wow, I just got chills thinking of what that would sound like. I think I'd cry too.
Yesfan90125 3 years ago

i just hope that Jon sees my comment to him about it on his Myspace page.
i think he'd be up for it if Yes got back together.
Firebird/Apocalypse/Siberian Khatru
there's your intro.
when that drops,
all the bullshit stops.
Yes will be back.
when they've raised hell,
you'll know it.
