I remember joe as a humble sweet old man who talked on my radio show several times. WHPK in Chicago back in 71.
He taught me how to listen to the music for the double entendre's (he called it double meaings). He was playing a 12 string then with only 9 strings but he tore up the studio with his giant voice and ringing guitar work. I saw him all over Chicago back then. He would always say hello even if he was busy.
Like so many Blues songs, I first heard this covered by one of the Rock bands of the 60's. I'd never heard of the blues but a friend of mine noted that I favored "blues-based rock" and I've been hooked on the blues ever since. Great song, thanks for posting
