Interesting video, but as a side note, I have to correct you. Jerome Bixby wrote this episode, and by the 3rd season, Roddenberry was largely a participant in name only.
I do agree though that Mr. Bixby, as many of his co-writers, and Mr. Roddenberry were using the series as platform of sociopolitical commentary - and those messages are as poignant today as they were in the 60's - perhaps even more so.

There was no episode showing the earth under world government, although earth was part of the united federation of planets. It never seemed totalitarian to me since the prime directive was always non-interference, and all mandated missions were peaceful or scientific.

In NC and others states I suppose, I know for a fact that they are policies in place to begin taxing you on the miles you drive per year. How can they know that? Manadatory GPS. Most newer vehicles have GPS and you don't know it. OnStar is an example. They will track your every move. The human GPS chip is next.

Great video. For me alien = evil. This has always been the case (good vs. evil). God has said evil will push for these things, but it doesn't mean we have to lay down and take it....
