@SiehstDuMichImLicht actualy darkwave was considered to be part of the gothic music scene in the 90's bands such as clan of xymox, etc etc, as goth rock bands like bauhaus and corpus delicti contain elements of darkwave anyway,

its only since the end of the 90's that darkwave has been considered a seperate genre

but yes you are also right that goth is deathrock post punk and goth rock, but to most of us, we still include darkwave into that despite the changes since the 90's

@SiehstDuMichImLicht i know, deathrock started at the same time as goth in USA with 45 grave, but im not talking about deathrock , and england is where goth began, deathrock wasnt seen as being goth until much later on, they were seperate movements, and yes bauhaus are the first goth rock band, my point is they contain elements of darkwave, as do most goth bands, and as you have just said, clan of xymox released quite a few goth rock albums, they too contain elements of darkwave.
