  • I love these birds...There like aliens or something. They fly so percise..

  • this is HYSTERICAL! the sweet little angels DUKIN IT OUT!! I love how that one 'runs off the 'intruder' and then HOVERS around the entry.. like a hover craft or something stealth that stands still in the air.. waiting...waiting.. like, you want any more of this, hummer, well DO YOU!! and the the brawler goes back to HIS/Her ANNOITED THRONE..! to dang funny.. LOVE IT! cant stop laughing! GREAT GREAT CAPTURE.. YOU ARE THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER, WITHOUT A DOUBT. (who else can capture THIS!?)

  • I see many chases and attacks like this but they are so fast and I rarely have the camera in hand to catch them. I keep trying though! :-)

  • Amazing

  • Mean little birdies! XD

  • 'll see a bird in Japan.

  • Thanks so much for watching! :-)

  • amazing footage, I had no idea those sweet, beautiful little birds are warriors

  • They are pretty impressive for such small critters... good thing they aren't the size of eagles! XD

  • @jcmegabyte

ha ha ha, yeah, thank God they're not the size of an eagle, lol, you're funny

  • Amazing video.

  • Thanks so much for watching! :-)

  • beautiful birds. we've found a few around the feeders that veered left when they shoud'a just left. i wont mention the fondue part.

    take care

  • Maybe that sugar-water fermented a bit! XD

  • Haha! U go lil' hummingbird! Chase away that bully bird! " No bully bird gonna steal my sweet sugary nectar!" Lol! =D

  • What's really ironic is that they take turns beating each other up... The males are more aggressive in early spring, then when the females start nesting they turn the tables on the boys and become the tough birds on the block! XD

  • As rough on each other as they look to be, it doesn't seem like they ever get hurt... at least not that I've seen. Indeed they are very brave little birds! :-)

  • Awesome video & sound!

I wonder if they were males fighting or maybe a mating ritual?

    Thanks for sharing with us.

  • In the first round it was a male harassing a female. The second round was two females. These squabbles were definitely over the food source. I've never spotted a mating before but it's said to look a lot like a fight too! XD They don't seem to do anything "nicely". Males do amazing 60MPH dives at enemies and females they're "courting". Still trying to get a few of those dives on film. In spring, males tend to be more aggressive but once the females nest they seem to take over. :-)

  • @jcmegabyte love that in one sentence, there is the phrase '60MPH dives at ENEMIES AND FEMALES THEY'RE COURTING'..!/ its just soooh crazeee, it sooh does NOT fit the little shimmering birds of miraculous feats..yes,little feets fighting their feets off! Keeping the long beaks outta the fight? Maybe that makes it a safe gfight?-but going 60MPH into a dive at an attractive chick!? it kills me! I cant get over how contradictory. O well,it is nature. the creator has a sense of humor!

  • nice shootin!

    birds&bees are fascinating.

  • I agree - thanks for the view and nice comment! :-)

  • Very interesting footage JMC, thanks! Feisty little creatures aren`t they?

  • Indeed they are - once for once probably one of the most aggressive birds on the planet! :-)

  • Fascinating!

  • Thanks so much for stopping by! =)

  • WOW! That's amazing!

I never knew they fought like that.

It's sad that they do fight, but it's still facinating to watch.

  • The more you watch them, the more of this sort of stuff you see... not only at the feeder but pretty much everywhere in sight. You can hear them screaming at each other all day long, and it seems like they spend more time chasing and fighting than just about anything else! XD I'm hoping for some "real" slow motion footage of some of their battles! :-)

  • Supers scènes et belles captures de ce magnifique Oiseau ..Vous faites un travail exceptionnel ..merci.

  • Thanks so much for watching - glad you stopped by! =)

  • Looked amazing when it was hovering about an inch off the floor.

  • It's definitely weird to see them hovering so low, and even bouncing off the ground at times. Thanks for checking it out! =)

  • omg when the hummingbird came up to the other bird and like snatched it at 1:01 around there. I DROPPED MY MOUTH IT WAS CREEPY AND I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT

  • It's pretty surprising to most people that these birds do this all the time :-O However, they move so quickly that it's difficult to get on film. Usually one chases the other one away, but sometimes they have to scrap a bit to determine who chases who! XD
