@777RAD777 Actually, it's not that much for a violin. My high school violin was about $1,500 and a very good student instrument, but it had its limitations. I've never had the opportunity to play one worth more than that, but I was fortunate enough to hear a Guarneri in person, and the differences were astounding. Personally, I wouldn't trust myself with anything worth more than $5,000, but I'm still jealous of people with Guarneris and other really valuable instruments... ;)
