  • whose idea was it do edit this to steve morse? absolutely brilliant! steve's always evoked soaring, flight imagery.

  • @rorytambores Well...me! This was the first video I produced on my Mac using video I received from Oracle Marketing (I work for Oracle). I've been a fan of Steve's for years, and also a pilot and fan of Sean D. Tucker. I often listened to Ionized while running, and always imagined seeing Sean fly to the song. Since nobody else would ever professionally produce it, I decided to try it on a Mac. You might enjoy the two other music videos I produced to Steve's music and featuring Sean.

  • It's beautifull to watch, but the pilot doen't look like he's having much fun.

  • @peckerwood57 Thanks for the nice comment. When I first got the source video to make this music video, it was interesting to see several minutes of in-cockpit video with audio. While it looks like graceful poetry from the ground, the video showed me how violent it is for Sean to fly these maneuvers. I know he loves to fly, but flying a plane like that really beats you up.

  • great music video

  • @nic190 Thank you...it was the first movie I made with iMovie (Mac) a few years ago. You might enjoy the other two videos I've produces with Sean and Steve Morse.

  • YOUR THE MAN

  • 3:20 ~ damn! ~

  • It's a nice way to see a torque roll...I especially enjoy watching the tail surface deflections when Sean flys this maneuver. You can see how much work it takes to keep the plane vertical while rolling and falling backwards.

  • And the guitarist Steve Morse (also a pilot) isn't bad either!

  • Absolutely. I got to see Steve three times this past week while he performed in New England. It was fun to chat about flying with him as well.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • 3:20 that part is astounding

  • The best part is watching the rudder and elevator deflection during the torque roll. You can see how much control movement Sean is making to keep the plane hanging there. Thanks for the comment.

  • I've been watching this awesome video regularly for over a year. Is there a way of getting a better quality?

  • I wish there were. This was my first music video, and I had to transfer the original video from VHS to digital before editing in iMovie. YouTube brings down the video a bit, but the final product is not as vivid as my later pieces. Of course, they all look best when played on the Mac in iMovie.

  • I love this much and mucher

  • This guy has an unexplainable passion for flying and aviation. What an excellent ambassador to the industry.

  • !!! NUMBER 1 !!!!

  • suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper

  • What an awesome video!

  • what song is this i like it

  • Song: Ionized

    CD: Full Circle

    Group: Dixie Dregs

Being a drummer, you might already know the drummer (Rod Morgenstein).

  • There were so many great combinations in your video. Great music and flight of spirit.

    Thank You for making it!

  • It is great to see your comments, and glad you enjoyed it.

  • Scene: World War 1,Sean Tucker pilot,Steve Morris plays guitar attracting all the enemy who enjoy a good jam, and while Sean Manouvers behind the enemy plane Steve Morse lets go with a blazing riff to knock him out of the sky.

  • You'll never see a music video of Steve Morse music behind the flying of Sean D. Tucker on MTV, so I made two, and posted them on YouTube. I agree that the possibilities are endless.

  • ;) these are not hammerheads!!!!

it`s look like Chuck Norris "Roundhouse-kicks"

    :))))))))))

I look this Video so often its great.

Sorry for my bad american speak

  • So glad you enjoy it Lion

  • How did they get those birdseye views of his hammerheads?

  • A helicopter and a nice zoom lens.

  • WOW!! What an incredible pilot. And to put it to Steve Morse's music is a hell of an great idea, also. A match made in heaven.

  • Great Video

    Greedings Lion

  • Best pilot out there by far...

  • thanks!!

  • can enyone tell me please wath is the name of this song?

  • Yes!!!!

I used the song "Ionized". It can be found on the CD titled "Full Circle" from the band called Dixie Dregs. You may also enjoy other music from Steve Morse who writes much of their music and performs with The Steve Morse Band and Deep Purple.

  • Steve Morse is also a pilot!!

    Great vid!

  • Indeed...I understand he built up lots of hours while flying the Dregs to gigs, and remains an active pilot including some aerobatics. If you watch some of his recorded interviews, you'll see that he is wearing an Oshkosh shirt highlighting his interest in the annual event with the EAA.

  • What an awesome video! One of the worlds best guitarist in Steve Morse, and one of the worlds best pilots Sean D. Tucker!

  • I agree that they match each other so well. Both are among the best at their art, they have an incredible work ethic, and are really wonderful people. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

  • YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!Great Video!!!

  • Wow,, it's not just Steve that's shining on this track,, his band is so f---ing on it. Great vid to match the flow of the music!

  • Perfect video for Dixie Dregs music. I always use the analogy of chainsaw juggling or cirque de soleil when trying to describe the amazing musical skills of the Dregs. I just found a new analogy. Nice to know there are still a few people who appreciate "acrobatic" music. Seen 'em four times in Detroit and I'm always afraid each time will be the last. Hope to see all of you at the next one.

  • I used to see Kansas at the Electric Ballroom in Atlanta back in 1978. Small world isn't it?

  • You hit the nail on the head: work hard! As you probably know Morse is also a pilot. He left his music gig for a while to fly commercially then went back to music. When I was a kid I loved Deep Purple (Hush). Strangely enough Morse shows up in DP. The folks I respect the most are those who have worked hard to get where they are. I think Sean and Steve fit that description. As for Larry...well...he's a pilot too so I won't knock him. :-)
  • Sean is great but let's also give Steve Morse a hand for that great guitar work. I used to see the Dixie Dregs when I lived in Atlanta. Larry Ellison eat your heart out. :-)

  • I can't believe my cousin he is so awesome up in the air. He even got the attention of You Tube. Fantastic Job Sean. And yes he is really my cousin. Kimbers

  • I'll let him know you said hello.

  • Nice, I met Sean D. Tucker when my best friends company was his sponsor, even got to go up in his support plane; he's one of the best pilots in the world.

  • Great music selection! great video! I hope I can one day meet Sean.

  • I just posted a new video titled "My flight with Sean D. Tucker" from my flights with him in April. You might enjoy seeing the pictures over the last third of the slide show. When you meet Sean, you will find him to be one of the most gracious and charming people.

  • Ok, thanks!

  • I've seen Sean D. Tucker perform 4 times, and all I have to say is an airshow is not an airshow without Sean D. Tucker (and the Blue Angels, of course)!! He is the best!!!!!! Thanks for posting this awesome video!!!!

  • awesome flying fantastic!!!!!!!......
