However when a person gets involved with or starts teaching things that are contrary to scriptural teachings, then sadly discipline is needed. Secondly, the Cross & Crown is not a symbol used by the Watchtower organization anymore; and even if it were, that is little proof of affiliation with another organization that uses such a symbol.
Buddhists and Hitler (who claimed he was Catholic might I add) both used the Swastika symbol, but nobody (to my knowledge) is leaping to connect the two at all.
People leap to attribute multiple meanings to the same symbol, and there are only so many creative minds willing to invent something unique.

Baphomet was originally pagan in origin. As with most other pagan gods, Christianity turned Baphomet into a demon, and the representation of "the devil" tarot card was simply using Baphomet as an artistic representation since he had a goat's head (and that is very frightening for Christians!)

@sluggfish As a former J.W. I can assure you that I was always allowed to think as liberally as I wanted to and I never knew anyone who wasn't allowed to. However when a person gets involved with or starts teaching things that are contrary to scriptural teachings, then sadly discipline is needed. My whole fam were JW's when i grew up...I used to sit and look at the pictures in their publications out of sheer boredom whilst having to sit still and quiet as a mouse 3 times a week for hrs on end listening to a load of old men whaffle..and i used to see most amazing things drawn in to sleeves and trees and clouds and grass and beards a.s.o in these pics. When i showed my parents like -look look!! what is that??? i was the one getting smacked and told the devil was trying to get me.
