  • With TAS they could draw any planet, species, ship, etc... And not worry about budget when it came to building the set. Mote aliens are in the ship. Couldn't do that on TOS; budget restraint!

  • You Can find it on netflix.

  • Unless you're a librarian in the library where the books send you back in time like in that episode of the original series. Then it would be a whole lot more dangerous.

  • librarians fight gorn every day

  • Are these on DVD? if so can someone tell me where i can get them? I would appreciate it! Live Long and Prosper

  • @WrestleGirl95 Unless you have something against Amazon, you're sure to pick one up there.

  • this series needed chekov

  • needed the TOS star trek dramatical music

  • kirk's like stfu

  • Good boy :-) Working at a library is nice, I can know it ^^

  • Yeah, whatever Spock...

  • Oh dear, the animated series was absolute tripe, wasn't it? Thought it looked crap when I was a kid in 70's and time has been even unkinder.......Still love TOS though..

  • @GNeuman Agreed.

Thumbs up if you agree that somebody needs to reanimat TAS kind of like how they remasted TOS.

  • @StoneKnivesBearskins I just hope they don't use 3D animation... it'd be.... too surreal compared to TOS

  • these drawings stink

  • spock is supposed to say -- fascinating captain and logical to

  • fubby

  • Bem is such a turd! :P

  • Yeah , Thanks dude!

  • I love Star Trek The animated series , I watched all of the episodes

  • @SpaceReviews: what a waste of time...

  • Shatner dedication in great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at amazon!

  • A question: Star Trek TAS looks like Star Trek, only adorable. Am I right?

  • one of the BEST animated series ever made. so intelligent...i would be proud to have my kids watch this stuff, instead of pokemon.

  • Why not just have them watch the REAL Star Trek? This is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life.

  • LOL even mr spock thinks it is as challenging! i dont think sooo!

  • Less dangerous??? Clearly the writers of the series never visited public libraries.

The problem with public libraries is that they are open to the public.

(former library worker 11 year veteran)

  • well if it wasnt open, you wouldnt have a job?? and the pension that you live of now!

  • Pension? Plu-ease. I got out of the library biz in part because public libraries are not safe. Prostitution, drug busts, deaths, assaults...

    The day in the life...

  • and you in Canada? can't imagine what teachers/librarian go through here in the USA. Very sad the state of affairs,I lived mostly in afflulent areas during my lifetime,so missed alot of the drama of life!

  • Prostitution, drug busts, deaths, assaults? At a LIBRARY? I've never seen that happen before. >>' Than again I live in the Southern countryside. xP

  • As I said, public libraries are open to the public - any public. But you'd be amazed how verbally abusive the affluent can be when charged a 50 cent fine...

  • Tee Hee. As a longtime librarian, and Star Trek fan, I adore this.

  • Oh. My. God.

Yes, I'm going to see this, but mostly for the voice actors.

Good golly gosh, this is hilarious.

  • You can get the series on DVD I believe. I know they are on VHS.

It's titled "The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek" on the packaging.

  • stories are actually fantastic... this is seriously just star trek seasons four and five - only difference is, they're drawn and in half hour format...

they're written completely like TOS trek. intelligent, engaging stories!

  • The writers of Star Trek often seem to have a grim perspective of humor in the future. While Trek often is entertaining in its own way, jokes aren't really its strong points.

  • Well, Trek had some stinkers in its scripts from time to time just like any TV series. TAS seemed to suffer from that the most. But there were some really golden moments in Trek as well, even in TAS.

  • Not true! We librarians must combat anthropomorphic lizards on a daily basis...wearing high heels and lipstick.

  • And there is nothing more dangerous than an anthropomorphic lizard in heels and makeup. Just trust me on that one.

  • @rocketcitymel Have you ever taken a good look and the heels of those boots the original series crew wore? ;)

  • @rocketcitymel and don't forget the metal bikinis we have to wear while fighting! :)

  • The delivery and timing is shear genius.

  • Wow, beam me up... this library has no Star-Trek Comics. Time to watch info-mercials on TV.

  • My library does. Not many, though. :(

  • Those lizards are less dangerous than some of the situations I have encountered in the library.
