they are distorting .. but yeah .. full vol lol! nice ..yeah .. these are the best out of the JBL Behringer and Yamaha of the same price range... im getting mine next week! cant wait! :-D
ok so i just received a pair of these my debates is the speakers clip at half way witch pisses me off i feel like they clip from the bass so a separate woofer like u got in this video would allow me to crank mids and highs at a higher volume and drop the bass on the speakers and put the base stress on the woofer ???? and be able to turn up louder with out clipping, other thank that i think they sound awesome i just don't wanna blow the speaker so if that red light is going off, not good ?
The jbl eon 15 g2 has an spl value of 126 Db, this one arrive at 116Db.
There are 10 db difference.
To have +3db you have to double the power... This means that you have to double 3 times the power of this makie to have the same pressure sound of jcl... These speakers have 200w rms, so to have the same sound pressure, you must apply 1600W.. (obviously isn't possible).
The jbl sound is also clerarer...
No possibility to compare. The makie model, similar to eon one is the Makie SRM 450.
I just bought one today and for some reason the sound doesn't sound clear. I've set everything up correctly and got the gain + main output set to 0 DB and doesn't hit red, but I can't even turn up my speaker to 1/2 volume without the overload light turning on. I've tried several different songs and it only sounds clear during the intro and once the beat kicks in its distorted/muffled.
Do you guys keep them clipping when you play them that loud? I just got a pair and they are actually only 150 lf and 50hf watts rms. How do they handle being pushed to constant clipping point?
lets be fair to the JBL name, The Eons are great active speakers, They have great electronics and all around have much more professional features then the thump could ever provide. With that said, I am a huge mackie fan and would take these over Jbl any day, But don't expect anything special. Truthfully there not that great and in my mind are not worth the 400$. But if you can find some for cheaper then more power to you. And yes you can find a cable that will allow u to hook an ipod up.
dammm dawg i hav those too mn, but watch out with that high volume , i just blew my shit yesterday lol , i hav warranty still though so i am straight.
just bought these<3

around 100 people, though i recommend you get at least a 300watt subwoofer or more to go with them, because they start to overload from the bass.
