Your statement on canceling the line is false, at least in my experience. I canceled my 3G line the night before the 3GS launched and had no trouble signing another 2 year contract for the 3GS the following morning. Selling the 3G on eBay unlocked ended up netting me money even after the termination fee and purchase of the 3GS for $299

Let me explain something that all people need to understand. If you are a 3G iphone customer and you are a type person that plans to buy the iphone every year, an early upgrade is not the answer. Why? Early upgrade always resigns you a brand new two year contract, where you will never get any iphone for the cheaper price. U need to open a new line and get on a family plan (is cheaper). Every year you can get the cheaper price, ig. your 1st contract will be upgrade ready for 2010. Understand!

About 7 years When I first got a Treo 600, I paid next to nothing with all the discounts I was qualified for... The 650 then came out.... Because I was not done with my 2 year contract but wanted the 650 I had to pay $600 for the phone This is nothing new at all. If you are in the middle of contract you have to pay more if you want the hot newness.
