I used to Work for HW WARD who Sposored him & before his death his car was brought each year to the Factory in Worcester. All the Apprentices used to have there Photo taken in & around the car.
Fantastic video about an excelent F1 driver of that heroic era of F1. Those were the days. F1 pilots were skilled and brave and the cars very strange.
Bellissimo e commovente video; mi appassionai alla formula 1 proprio nel 1970 (avevo undici anni) e fu la prima tragedia della quale ebbi notizia; mi colpì molto, sopratutto perchè tolse all'automobilismo una persona meravigliosa ed un eccellente pilota che non raccolse dallo sport che amava quanto avrebbe meritato. Riposa in pace Piers, non ti dimenticherò mai.

It's sad that we always have to lose drivers like Courage, Ratzenberger, Senna, Clark and more drivers like that..

My father saw his accident happening right before his eyes.
He told me when I was a child when I watched F1, so I was curious who it was.

A motor racing photographer friends of mine's son is called Piers. I was at Zandvoort when the accident happened - a day before my 17th birthday.
