If you look at the picture on 0:36, Sgt. Novotny. Yeah, that's now the cadet commander of TX-450, and he's a 1st Lt. So if anyone had him as a flight sergeant or something, I know him too, he's a great guy.
@hnt456 Not a problem. I'm one of those people that like to know what's going on before it happens. You will wear your Service Uniform (Short Sleeve Blues). After check in you will change into your BDUs
@hnt456 Hey yeah you will need two sets of BDU's if you were going to winter encampment you could probably get away with it but being that it's summer you're definately gonna need it.

@hnt456 Yeah you'll get an SOI and you'll study it in your free time. As for tips for encampment do your best, know your drill, help other cadets if you can, listen to your flight staff and TAC officers, and above all Have Fun oh yeah and drink lots of water. Did I mention have fun? I'll be there as a TAC officer this summer
@ohscadet so u might be chewing me out if i drop the guideon when trying to hold at present arms? gulp im just an airman so im a little nervous mainly about and drill sergeant walking around the base cuz i know its an army national guard base and training area
@hnt456 Yeah more than likely. Don't drop my Guidon, my last name is Robinson I am from Tennessee Wing. There won't be any drill sergeants at Camp Swift but it is an active training base for the army national guard and the base commander is pretty cool he's even a CAP member
I had so much fun!! I went to basic encampment Bravo flight!! I would gladly go through that again, NO REGRETS!!!

@hnt456 You will be in an open bay barracks. That will be shared by mulitiple flights with a bathroom connecting two sides.
