  • Ray Comfort's banana, LOVE IT!

  • dude,so funny haha.

    love from australia

  • Ah, the famous banana sign, I understand that many people take comfort in it, err or was that Comfort takes many people in with it?

  • love the banana, maybe you could do something with peanut butter

  • This is genial. The banana... the sign... the Italians! (which I am!) I am laughing my lungs out!

  • Cephalopods <3 And he's definitely "pee zed"...

  • classic!

  • PZ MYERS!!!! yay! lol. as much as I like to hear him speak in his fluent, soft spoken voice, it was kind of hard to hear him at times.

  • Epic amazingness forever and ever for the eternal win.

  • The background hum makes me feel like we are onboard the enterprise.

  • Fucking superb. Laughed heartily.

  • ahahahahahahahah!!! ah man....this is hilarioso so so so!!! haha! i seen it before but yeah ..gets me every time! ....and the banana hahaha! poor Ray! ahahahaha! PZ awesome!!!

  • OK, now THIS is funny! ("Name a small dog Goliath?" "And also to the Italians!")

  • Does this mean that JesusGodGhost made the modern banana after all?

  • You guys just keep getting better and better. Keep it up!

  • The banana sealed this up as my favorite Mr. Deity yet. Man, the writing on this show has gotten even better lately.

  • I like the sticker on the banana, El. I assume its a Fair Trade company - unless perhaps you endorse, *gasp*, slavery.

  • Excuse the phrase, but you're doing God's work. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for making these videos. They've helped me immensely over the last few years during my, um, transition.

  • Anyone else get excited because it looked like a new video... but was just on your pages because of new comments?

Old Mr. D = Awesome, but new YouTube = Lucy (charming on the the outside but all pitchforks and razor blades on the inside)

  • We'll see who's laughing when you're facing your maker.

  • @jbooks888 I think I'll just make the same arguments Michael made. Do you really think God's such a dick that he'll punish people just because they don't believe something? Wouldn't it be a much better world if He actually cared more about how we treat those who share this world with us?

  • @misterdeity Didn't you read the script?

  • @misterdeity It would indeed be a better world, but I'm willing to bet the faithful will absolutely hate it.

  • @misterdeity Well didn't god kill all the first born children in Egypt to teach their parents a lesson...that's pretty dickish. God really comes off a douche. Funny, though you would think an all knowing, all powerful entity would be above having temper tantrums.

  • @misterdeity If I may step in, I'm a universal translator.

You need to translate his comment from "delusion" to "english", then it reads:

"I feel threatened by other peoples' smartness, so I'm threatening back".

  • @jbooks888 : I laugh at my parents all the time! ;)

  • @jbooks888 cool story bro.

  • @jbooks888 Sadistic retard.

  • @jbooks888 Lol. Such a very Christian attitude.

  • @jbooks888 In the end the Christian faith always comes down to threats like this.

  • @jbooks888 I think I outgrew my fear of my mother. -Stops typing as he hears footsteps leading to the basement-

  • @thelordmemnoch Too funny!

  • @jbooks888 My maker has a sense of humor.

  • @jbooks888 Aren't you a little grumpy my friend? And what about this laughing part - its so sad actually. You are probably a supposedly good christian with supposedly samaritan qualities: kind, loving, helpful etc.etc. A moral person. But no - the thought of another fellow human being cruely burnt and tortured makes you laugh. Thats plain evil. I hope for you to find in your hearth to think othervise about your fellow man even if they don't share your belife. Love and peace to you.

  • @mjusiqtube Blow it out your arse.

  • @jbooks888 Still a little bit grumpy my friend? Can I suggest a banana? Should have bought you one if I had the time. The bright yellow colour brightens up your life, reminds you of SkyDaddy and can othervise also be helpfull for grumpy people. After you fit the banana nicely in your hand - just relax and let your mind do the math over different uses..... you have proved yourself to have a dirty mind. Enjoy the banana and your life. Love and peace. Happy holiday.

  • @mjusiqtube Who the fuck are you?

  • @moopism I've just had enough of the crap from atheists. Time to dish it out. I said I loved my Christian brothers and sisters - of which you are not, so you can blow it out your arse also, a pox on you, and fuck off.

  • Comment removed

  • @jbooks888 "I've just had enough of the crap from atheists."

Well, there's always the option of behaving in a manner consistent with your faith, and cleaning up your potty mouth, because it's apparent from your words that your faith is as imaginary as your god, eh buddy?

  • @moopism "And I say unto the, bless those that curse you, bless them which persecute you and curse not; unless thou art on thine computer, for then thou shalt tell their sorry asses that The Lord shall roast them with weeping and gnashing of teeth, whilst thou tellest then to goest and fucketh themselves, saith the Lord"

  • @moopism And it's more of a char-grill than a roasting.

  • @jbooks888 Well, sure glad to know you find the go to threat of your ilk so funny.

So do think, after referring to me as a swine, that your poor attempt at making light of one of the most revolting aspects of you theology is going to win me?

You may have cleaned up you potty mouth, but you heart is still quite malevolent.

    Signed,

    The swine.

  • @moopism If you're a swine, you're a swine.

  • @jbooks888 You are a real piece of work.

  • @moopism

    Well. Said. Amen to that!!

(Fundamentalist trolls are the most entertaining. They are so easily out witted. )

  • @moopism Well, I guess I have just been frustrated by all the negative, derogatory and down-right insulting things people say about my God. OBVIOUSLY, the use of foul language is not consistent with the Christian faith, but hey, I'm not going to throw any pearls at people who are so anti-christian, am I?

  • @jbooks888 Hi there. I've been preoccupied. So much to do this time of year. The reindeers have to be fed so they're ready for the big delivery next weekend. My small helpers need supervising. So much to do...... Now then - can you guess who I am? If not - here is a further tip: "Have you been a nice boy this year?" You now - no presents for naughty naughty little boys. Happy holiday my friend. Ho ho ho...

  • @mjusiqtube I hope you don't think that's clever or funny.

  • @jbooks888 Hope. A word radiant with good deeds and wishfull thinking. A little bit as being a - believer. You will probably know - as the believer you are. But frankly - yes, my friend. It was funny for me, and much much more clever than your "dirty dirty naughty": "Blow it out your arse" comment. Which remind me to ask you while I'm here: why are you believers so obsessed with the arse? And other tabu parts of the human body? Strange indeed. Happy holiday my friend. Ho ho ho...

  • @mjusiqtube Kiss my arse.

  • @jbooks888 Your behavior and language is such that I start to belive you're an anbalphabet. Read your bible and learn about the punishm, ent for cursing & swearing: Proverbs 10:31The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out. - King James Version. Romans 12:14: Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. - King James Version See also Leviticus 19:12, Jeremiah 23:10, Hosea 10:4, James 5:12, Psalms 10:7 etc etc. Happy holiday

  • @mjusiqtube May I chime in. You mean the bible that endorsed slavery, condemned homosexuality, condoned stoning children for disobedience. The bible that was written by illiterate, bronze age, desert dwelling goat herders. Why would I want to believe any of that crap. Sorry I don't believe in talking snakes. You are Deluded.

  • @lhurien Happy holiday mate. I couldn't agree more. If you read all my ping-pong comments with the creationist jbook888 (but that is difficult) you you will find that I'm just reminding him about his christian duties as described in his stoneage book. jbook888 has the rather childish need to call people an arse etc etc. He is a angry christian loving for an atheist like myself to burn in hell. He is a nutcase. Read some of his comments and wish him happy holiday. :-) L ove & peace.

  • @jbooks888 your god has no sense of humor?

  • @speedformercy What, you don;t think the idea of a talking donkey is funny?

  • @jbooks888 Depends on if they tell a good joke or not, my parents (Or "Makers" if you will) tell pretty good jokes so every time i face them I usually laugh.

  • @jbooks888 You mean my mom and my dad?

  • @jbooks888 I suspect God will be if it actually exists.

  • @jbooks888 blah, blah, blah. Booga booga!! I am utterly in awe of your scary (and absent) deity.

  • @jbooks888 And that maker would be Zeus? Or maybe Allah? Would you be laughing in front of Allah? Or the Great Joo Joo Under The Sea? I bet you'd be peeing your pants.

  • @jbooks888

    I face my maker(s) everyday. :)

  • @jbooks888. Spoken like a true creotard. You seem to have your ass up your head. You're the lamb , remember? Sheep will not laugh vengatively when people are about to burn in your imaginative hell... unless... ahhhhh I see!!..Some non-mighty deity told your mind to fight his war, -being non-existent, and all, he's obviously challenged in the "allmighty" area.

    ;-)

  • PZ Myers FTW :D:D:D

  • LOL!!!!! THE BANANA AT THE END!!!! Did anyone catch that?

  • was the banana supposed to be part of the punchline? if so, i didnt get it

  • @erikespinoza05 Look up "banana man" or "the Atheist's nightmare" and Ray Comfort. You'll laugh your ass off.

  • @misterdeity

Yeah. That was a chuckle moment ;)

  • @misterdeity That banana was a very nice touch, excellent show as always!

I wonder if Ray watches this?

  • @misterdeity Oh my you, have you seen his sequel with the big dogs and his car?! It's so funny, I think it should be illegal.

  • @erikespinoza05 yes, they are making fun of Ray Comfort. youtube it

  • The waverers failed to grasp the mysteries and causes underlying the genesis of the creatures, and their intellects remain unaware of the faultless ingenuity subsisting underneath the creation of the varied species of the sea and the land, the level and the rough.

  • .... You can't even design an eye....

    ___

It so happens sometimes that someone among them is aware of a thing but in his ignorance of its reality, purpose and need, begins at once to find fault with it saying, "it is untenably wrong."!

  • Love it!

  • Lucy's on the details! LOL Epic!

  • "At some point" lol

  • Gotta love the squid.

  • PZ FTW!

  • @misterdeity

"yeah sure, you can pray for me... as long as i can go dancing naked in teh woods to my pagan gods for you"

  • lol. Wow. I just now got the "lucy's into the details" reference.

    The devil's in the details!

    Brilliant!

  • Is this Mr. Deity himself? I was at the Oakland (non)rapture event and saw you speak on Saturday evening. In fact, I spoke too, late Saturday afternoon on religious violence and Sunday morning on atheist culture. You might know my books "Natural Atheism," "Atheism Advanced," and "Cruel Creeds, Virtuous Violence," as well as my contributions to John Loftus' two anthologies. In the second, I argue that science does not care if it is "compatible" with religion--only religion cares about that!

  • DJjontyJerz: Why do we have to read the bible at all? Facts are available in the world, which can be observed and measured. Who cares about some book--bible, quran, vedas, or any other?

  • @athofden Amen! (Pun intended.) That people live their entire lives based on what some bronze-age ignoramuses thought back when people knew nothing about the way the world really worked, is mind-boggling. Most ridiculous is the fact that the foundational story of the book involving the Exodus and the conquering of Canaan are completely mythological -- there's absolutely no evidence that anything like that ever happened. Yet people still throw their entire lives away following that book.

  • @misterdeity "throw their entire lives away following that book"

Yes. If only people would make the most of their lives & make youtube clips.

You may want to look at another book & check out the definition of 'Irony'.

Not that the ability to judge other's lives isn't extremely impressive.

  • @festdir I would put giving people a giggle, a laugh, or making them think a little, far above telling them how to kill an ox, a goat, or how to rip the head off a turtle dove. And obviously, so would you, as you're hear watching my videos and reading my comments instead of studying your Bible. Now, THAT'S irony!!!

  • @misterdeity "put giving people a giggle, a laugh....above telling them how to kill an ox, a goat..."

Oh? Which church is doing this? Pick up the dictionary & look up the word 'Strawman Argument'.

However, far more impressive than your ability to 'make people laugh' is your incredible ability to judge which lives aren't 'thrown away'.

    "Now, THAT'S irony!!!"

*Sigh* No. No it isn't. 'Word Meanings'--Apparently, not your style.

  • @festdir I was talking about your God -- you should read his book sometime. After 150,000 years of humans wandering aimlessly, this is what your God gave humanity -- all kinds of rules about the slaughter of animals. Thank Darwin they finally got past that and moved on to murdering heretics. Of course, today, their obsessed with keeping gay people down and denying them the equality they deserve -- again, thanks to the book. And we haven't even touched on genocide or anti-semitism -- again, book!

  • @misterdeity "your God"

I have espoused no belief. Do try to respond to my posts instead of using ad hominems to 'debate' your imagination.

    "slaughter of animals"

If you are going to judge Christians by what they do, it would be better if you comment on what they actually....ya know....do.

    "murdering heretics"

As 83% of the USA are Christians, life must be very frightening for you. Perhaps you should move to N. Korea.....or perhaps you should try an argument based in reality.

  • @festdir Try to follow this. Originally, we were talking about people "following that book." You have espoused no belief, but apparently champion people following a book which advocates genocide, the murder of homosexuals, non-believers, non-virgin girls, sabbath breakers, and casting those who don't believe in Jesus into Hell forever. I argued the book is false on almost every level and it's a shame that people spend so much of their lives trying to follow it. Try responding to my posts.

  • @misterdeity "Try to follow this"

    I don't have to...it's in writing.

    "Originally..."

No. Originally, I commented on your biased, unfair & inaccurate portrayal of 80% of the US pop. I don't care about your or anyone's opinion on any book, so long as you live a moral life.

Apparently you feel differently & that is fine. However, when you make such laughably disprovable comments, I will refute.

I honestly cant believe the same person that makes these vids, writes like an angst-filled teenager.

  • @festdir And in writing, your first comment is re: "throw their entire lives away following that book." That's not a "biased, unfair & inaccurate portrayal of 80$ of the US." That was simply my opinion regarding people living according to a book which is demonstrably NOT what it claims to be (the Word of God). And your further comment suggested that these "youtube clips" (which you now find "brilliant") were a waist of time. Make up your mind. Stay with me, and answer on point, please.

  • @misterdeity

Very well, 'your opinion' is a biased, unfair & inaccurate portrayal of 80% of the US.

"suggested that these 'youtube clips' (which you now find brilliant) were a waist [really? sic] of time."

I always found them brilliant....however, I always & still consider giving billions of dollars to the hungry a 'better' (more moral) use of a life (ie not a 'waste')

    "answer on point"

I write out the point I am responding to by DIRECTLY QUOTING YOU. You have no basis for complaint.

  • @festdir When you write about all the charity Xtians give, you fail to understand how much of that charity goes toward sustaining clergy and the administration of the Church. If you take away "tithing" to churches, Xtians are NOT particularly charitable. Even so, you've picked a nice time to raise these questions as sectarianism has been rearing it's head today in both Egypt and here with the Mormon/Christian thing going on amongst republicans.

  • @misterdeity (cont.)

"fail to understand [much of the money goes to] the Church...Xtians are NOT particularly charitable"

No. However, you apparently fail to understand scientific studies. Here is one: science20/news_account/religious_people_are_more_generous_says_study

There are many more studies that show the same. 'Google'--It does still exist & can be used before hitting 'Post'

    The more you know!

  • @festdir Yeah, I've read those, and when you break down the numbers and actually look at it (instead of just reading a summary article), you find out that much of that is "tithing" which goes to clergy and church maintenance as opposed to feeding and clothing the poor. Yes, the religious still do better, but considering the vast organization, and the threats of Hell fire, it's just not that impressive. Theft is reduced in countries where they cut off hands too. But I still wouldn't prefer that.

  • @misterdeity "religious still do better...I wouldn't prefer that"

    Then don't.

I, however, will give credit & appreciate the charitable giving they do, instead of trying to downplay TENS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to the poor & needy as 'not that impressive'.

Its really not that difficult of a concept.

  • @festdir BTW, did you know that those societies which have abandoned religion altogether (or nearly) for secular democracy, have the best stats in the world on things like violent crime, homelessness -- even on things like the number of abortions? If you think religion is necessary to make a good world, you're sadly mistaken. Meanwhile, sectarians are killing each other (and even their own) all over the planet. Where religion is most prominent, things are not great.

  • @misterdeity "societies abandoned religion for secular democracy"

The US is a secular democracy. The US consists of 80% Xtians. These are not exclusive concepts.

Just out of curiosity, what nation's 'Christian theocracy' govt are you comparing this to?

I really thought I was clear on this whole 'comment on reality' thing.

"Where religion is most prominent, things are not great."

This is asinine. When things are not great, people turn to religion.

You cannot be the fellow that made this vid.

  • @festdir Yes, the US is in the PROCESS of abandoning religion. But there was prayer in school until the '50s. In Western Europe -- particularly in the north -- they've gone all the way, and virtually every stat tops our own. When Christians really had power, they gave us hell on Earth -- just like Islam is doing today. That's when religion was most prominent in the West -- the Dark Ages -- the age of inquisition and ignorance. People left the "Christian nations" of Europe as fast as they could.

  • @festdir BTW, I love how you started this by suggesting that my "youtube clips" are meaningless, but have since spent a good deal of time proving otherwise. Or, is your life so worthless that you can just throw your time away on something so insignificant?

  • @misterdeity "suggesting that my 'youtube clips' are meaningless."

I think these clips are brilliant. They are humorous & show YOUR opinion on the BIBLE.

However, your written comments falsely attack the PEOPLE that follow religion, by utilizing all the nuance, self-awareness, logical fallacy, reading comprehension, reality-blindness, arrogance & broad brush generalization of an angsty, recently dumped teenager

    "throw your time away"

500 character comments are not all that time consuming.

  • @festdir Please read again. I haven't attacked any "PEOPLE". I attack a book, and people following that book, which recommends all kinds of horrible things, and which has caused unbelievable suffering, ignorance, hatred, etc..., and still continues to do so. If you want to debate that, feel free. It would be so much classier than your ad hominem attacks.

  • @misterdeity *sigh*

"I haven't attacked any "PEOPLE". I attack a book AND PEOPLE..."

I.....I really don't even know what to say to this. You are now officially debating yourself on this subject....and losing.

    "your ad hominem attacks"

I am unaware of any ad hominems I used against you. Please list them.

  • @festdir Ad hominem... "angst-filled teenager"

"PEOPLE" I think of the people as those following, not those leading. I would call those people leaders. And they continue to do harm with their book. Look at the situation with Homosexuals. You probably don't pay attention, but Xtian leaders have been amping up the rhetoric for several years now (since Prop. 8), leading to gay teens being bullied even more -- even to the point of suicide. And why? Because of a book written by ignoramuses.

  • @misterdeity "Ad hominem"

You really need a dictionary....I COMPARED you to an 'angst-filled teenager', In order for that to have been an 'ad homenim' I would need to DISCREDIT your argument BECAUSE you are an 'angst-filled teenager'

'Word Meanings'-You can look them up BEFORE you hit 'Post'.

    "Prop 8"

Prop 8 is a law in a 'democratic secular society'...OH NOES!!! SECULARISM LEADS TO ANTI-GAY BEHAVIOR!!

On the other hand, the ELCA (the largest Lutheran denomination) ordains gays as clergy.

  • @festdir Well, by that definition, I'll compare you to an intellectually dishonest ignoramus. Prop 8 was passed by your "80$" [really? sic] or 80% "of the US". Namely, the Mormons and Evangelicals. Had we not a supreme court, they would have creationism and prayer in schools to go along with their blue and sodomy laws, Good thing they're no threat today with their "live and let live" attitude. You've really gotta start reading some history. Maybe then you wouldn't sound like an ignoramus.

  • @misterdeity "that definition"

I assume you are referring to my "SECULARISM LEADS TO ANTI-GAY BEHAVIOR!!!". If so (1) That isn't a 'definition' (2) It was sarcasm used to mock your over-generalization of Xtians. In which case, congratulations, you are too dense to insult.

"Prop 8 was passed by your 80%"

Actually Cali has only 62% self-identify as religious & Cali denied Prop 8.

Iowa has 82% that self-identify as religious & they legalized gay marriage.

Why do more atheistic states hate gays?

  • @festdir I was referring to the thing you actually defined -- ad hominem. Boy, you really can't follow a thought, can you. And are you really suggesting that religious people are more in favor of gay rights than humanist/secularists? Or, do you just enjoy engaging in this kind of sophistry? And the Pope is a leader in the fight against AIDS too, right? Whatever the case, I simply can't afford to spend any more time with someone so intellectually dishonest. Have a nice life.

  • @misterdeity "ad hominem"

Both I & the dictionary are ignoramuses? "adj. Appealing to personal considerations rather than to logic or reason"

    Whatever you say.

"religious ppl are more in favor of gay rights than humanists"

I am saying it depends on the PERSON, thus Iowa (82% religious) legalizing gay marriage & Cali (62%) making gay marriage illegal.

    "intellectually dishonest"

Yes, if only I could use the inquisition as a basis for over-generalizing 80% of the USA.

    Well played, worthy adversary.

  • @festdir C'mon, you had your fun. You got me. I admit, I thought you were serious this whole time. Did Jimbo put you up to this? Sean? I'll get them for this one. But you went too far when you suggested the religious want gay rights more than the secularists -- or even that you can't make generalizations about such things. Funny stuff! But you really did have me hook, line, and sinker 'till then. Your really did! Nicely done. Truly... Have a great life!

  • @misterdeity "suggested the religious want gay rights more than secularists"

No. I suggested gay rights are a separate issue from religion.

And I have shown you numerous evidence: Namely the Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) ORDAINING GAYS AS CLERGY. (There are other churches that have accepted gays as well; ELCA is merely the largest)

Iowa (82% religious) legalized gay marriage. Cali (62%) has not.

Unfortunately, verifiable facts aren't enough to overcome your foolish personal dogma.

  • @festdir I know you're goofin'. You're too smart to make such a silly correlation (62/82). You know gay marriage was legal in CA until the Mormons, Catholics, and Evangelicals conspired to get Prop 8 on the ballot and passed. And I'm sure you know that the more often you go to church, the more likely you were to deny gays their rights (70% if you went once a week, 30% if you didn't go -- and most of those were over 65). And you know Iowa's a D-state where only 49% attend church regularly. Goof!

  • @festdir And I know you know that... "A 55% majority believes it is a sin to engage in homosexual behavior, and that view is much more prevalent among those who have a high level of religious commitment (76%)… [who also] now oppose gay marriage by more than six-to-one (80%)" -- Pew Poll. Stop goofin' around, you silly. I know you're smarter than that. You're not fooling anyone! Ha!

  • @misterdeity Pew Poll 10/6/10

49% of White mainline Protestants FAVOR gay marriage, 38% White Protestants OPPOSE it.

46% Catholics FAVOR gay marriage, 38% OPPOSE.

    76% Jewish FAVOR, 18% OPPOSE

The numbers for black & Evangelical protestants are far worse...perhaps you should start generalizing people by race as well as religion.

I assume you saw these numbers as well, judging by your laughable editing.

The real question now is...are you going to allow facts to convince you?

  • @festdir Ha! Again, I can tell you're goofin', cuz now you just look racist by making the blacks look worse than the whites. And again, you're using stats that once again make my point as the evangelicals (who you admit are "far worse") are the ones who "follow the book" more closely. If I didn't know you were pulling my leg, I'd say you're just debating yourself at this point -- and losing badly. Ha!!! Well done, my ironic friend! Thanks for the laughs.

  • @misterdeity "you look racist"

By citing a poll referenced by you? Devastating point. Really.

    "evangelicals..follow the book more closely"

    1) Says whom?

    2) Glad to see that, by implication, you recognize ALL Christians aren't the same. Your progress noticing the flaw of your generalizing ways is inspiring.

    "debating yourself...ironic"

Plagiarizing your betters is making you a better writer, but it would work far better if you learned the definitions of these words & THEN used them appropriately.

  • @festdir Playing dumb will NOT make me believe that you're serious (however well you do it). You're smart enough to know about the 2005 Rasmussen poll showing 63% of Americans believe the Bible to be literally true -- 89% for evangelicals. That means for them, homosexuality is an abomination and that homosexuals should be murdered. If you weren't joking or trolling, why would you choose to be so ignorant and wrong about every single point? But, way to play it out. Your commitment is stunning!

  • @misterdeity "63% believe...gays should be murdered"

Glad you can manage to ignore other passages (turn other cheek, without sin cast first stone, Thou shall not murder, etc.), & the Pew poll that shows a majority believe gays should be married.

    Again, 'Reality'--You should try it.

    "wrong about every single point?"

Yes, me, the dictionary, the Pew poll, Iowa legalizing gay marriage & reality itself has been proven wrong by your paranoid rants.

Thanks for setting us strait, big-shooter.

  • @festdir No problem, little shooter. I glad you finally agree.

  • @festdir BTW, perhaps this is a good place to end it. I think we've reached agreement on a number of important points. 1) Evangelicals are the worst. 2) My videos are brilliant (wish I could say the same for your posts). And 3) The more people follow their Holy Books, the worse the world is for everyone. Your posts have convinced me on all of these points. I will, therefore, declare you the victor, and call it a day! Good job! And thanks again for the laughs.

  • @misterdeity 1) Depends on the INDIVIDUAL. 2) I agree. Of course, I am not a zealot & thus recognize that my opinion is hardly the end-all-be-all on the subject...which may explain why you ask for donations. 3) If true, then N. Korea must be far superior to the USA. (Hint: It's not)

    "(some youtube vid)"

I couldn't get it to go, but I am sure he is the representative of all 224,000,000 Xtians in the USA. Great Argument.

    "good place to end it"

I certainly hope not. I have been having a GREAT time!

  • @festdir @festdir Oh, and one more thing... Here's a great example of the type of people you're defending -- excuse me, the crazy, silly character you've been pretending to be (I know you're too smart to defend these folks)... watch?v=TIrqpyWTxD4&

  • @misterdeity That's angst-filled adult. Just 2 weeks ago, I was in Buffalo, where a gay teen had recently committed suicide because of the constant bullying. But homophobia has nothing to do with your charitable friends, right? America would still be obsessed with denying gays equal rights even if the Xtrians weren't Hell-bent on it. And what do you care, anyway. This kid wasn't a Xtian giving all that money to charity (BTW, do you have any other arguments aside from the charity thing?).

  • @misterdeity "gay teen committed suicide"

That is terrible. However, as shown by Iowa (82% religious) legalizing gay marriage & Cali (62% religious) voting down Prop 8, homophobia & bullying are separate issues from religion.

    "wasn't Xtian"

Studies have shown religious people have a lower rate of suicide. ajp.psychiatryonline/cgi/content/abstract/161/12/2303

If I was prone to over-generalization I would say "athleticism leads to suicide". However I am not, so I will leave doing that to you.

  • @festdir California voted UP Prop 8 -- but that had nothing to do with religion. Again, have a nice life.

  • Go watch the Cosmos series. It is 13 hours, you could do it in one day. Now tell me that you believe in one of the traditional monotheistic Gods (Christian, Jewish, Muslim) He, and it does seem to be a HE, is so small. If there is a real God, then he is a billion billion billion times more amazing than anything in Christianity, Islam , etc.

  • LUVZ DA PZ! (am stoopid humanoid)

  • Lucy is in the details, right?

    Brilliant.

  • love the end! :)

  • Oooohhh, I got all warm and squishy... Zeddy is my teddy!

  • Is it really a problem for people to believe in Science and God like really guys, The Beginning of the Universe stops at one point and is beyond human comprehension if you believe in god or the big bang or both, People need to realize also that the Bible is not a literal text!!!! YOU HAVE TO READ BETWEEN THE LINES!!!

  • @DJjontyJerz Invoking God to explain the creation of the Universe, gets you only to a Deist-style God -- with which I have no problem. The problem starts when people think they have texts from this Being, and think they know more than everyone else. If the Bible is not a literal text, and we have to "read between the lines", then what exactly is the point? And who's to say what's literal and what's not? Was Jesus' resurrection literal? How do you know? And why?

  • @DJjontyJerz

"Beyond human comprehension" at this point. It used to be that the world stopped at the horizon and what lay beyond was beyond human comprehension. The dome of the sky used to be the barrier of human comprehension, and whatever beyond was shining through the holes of the stars was beyond our comprehension. You present a "god of the gaps" argument, and it is incredibly arrogant to assume that something you don't understand cannot ever be understood.

  • "Are they self-aware?" "More like self- absorbed" HA!

  • As soon as I saw that banana, I was down and out with laughter.

  • PZ was great in this! A scientist *and* an actor, who knew?

  • Squid, Italian design sense, banana... I get these things. Hilarious.

  • What could we do ~ The Shroud Of Turin perhaps?

  • Oh, Mr Deity, this was sooo good. Three of my favourite people - PZ and the schizo deity dude.

Sushi! From PZ! I snorted so hard I nearly choked! Oh, wait, that was the whole point...

  • I can't believe I didn't know this existed until now!

  • Awesome banana man reference!

  • No, the atheist's nightmare! Great episode as usual.

  • It required some searching, but it was very satisfying to finally discover the significance of the banana. Thanks for the fun!

  • that was amazing.

  • Atheist pin on his lapel? Heh.

  • And what idiot came up with the design of humans being the only purely upright walking vertebrate?! With a quick glance at a model of the spine, with all those nerve pairs poking out between vertebrae, any idiot would realize that the the compression resulting from an upright stance is just a disaster waiting to happen. Hence all the back problems we humans have. "Intelligent design" - hardly.

btw, great videos! Keep it up!!

  • @lds8714 Thanks for commenting on this video. I saw it in your search history, clicked on it, and it was hilarious! :)

  • @lds8714 Such a great point. And there's so much of that in human anatomy. I call is "Inelegant Design."

  • @lds8714 and the whole food just barely missing your windpipe every time it goes down your throat. every time you eat you're flirting with death.

  • @lds8714 You ever heard of entropy? You and the creators of this video obviously no very little about God's prefect creation in history and how the fall effected all of humanity. Problems like bone and eye issues are because of entropy. the curse. Romans 8:22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

  • @cctman (1 of 2)

I don't think you understand the concept of entropy. I don't have the space to explain it here, but basically entropy is defined by (the logarithm of) the number of ways of recognizing a physical configuration. That's the definition. Now, the physical law you're thinking of is the law that the total entropy of the universe increases.

  • @cctman (2 of 2)

It is possible (and common) though to locally decrease entropy at the expense of a greater increase elsewhere. My freezer decreases the entropy of the food inside while causing a greater increase of entropy in the kitchen (by dumping out heat). Living organism decrease the entropy of their bodes while similarly increasing entropy in the environment.

So yes, I have heard of entropy. You've also heard of this word, but clearly do not understand the ideas behind the word.

  • I love this guy. Such wonderful satire.

  • the banana was brilliant!

  • @umutsilva A parody of Ray Comfort's stupid analogy that banana's grooves fitting perfectly in a human hand's grip is proof of god's perfect creation.

  • Comment removed

  • Where can I get that tie?!?!

  • @bluecobra95 Don't know. Write to PZ.

  • My blindspot is always getting me into trouble...

  • Banana!!! LOL

  • absolutely fucking brilliant..its a shame that the talent of these people will never get widespread exposue on tv in America simply because of all the sad delusional people who believe in a deity at all. this shower SHOULD be on prime time tv...in the schools everywhere...love from Australia guys

  • @psycho3968 Thanks. Couldn't agree more. It's such a shame!!! BTW, did you type this on something that has auto correct (show = shower)?

  • FUNNY! P ZED you definitely have upgraded your act. You and God should consider opening in Vegas.

  • I literally rofl when I saw the banana.

  • lol at the end. Ray Comfort is such a fucken moron. Also Kirk Cameron too.

  • Banana was genius. Ray Comfort is so stupid.

  • @Vanja4life hahaha

  • the banana totally makes this.
