@trainluvr, You're 100% correct, that was enormous amount of money to pay for a food processor. $199.99 in 1983 is about $450.00 in 2011 dollars. It's kind of shocking when you adjust for inflation just how much money people were willing to spend on merchandise like this back in the early 80's. I think Food Processors were fairly new in the early 1980's so maybe it was the novelty aspect of the device?
