  • I thought there was a party in the igloo

  • I was awesome at this game. If you got a really good score a fish icon appeared below your score. :)

  • Man, this really looks fun. It's hard to believe I've never heard of this. It seems to be an interesting take on the gameplay of Frogger. I wish I had this as a child : (

  • less of a review more of a manual..

  • omg I loved this, good memories.

  • seeing a game like this makes me think that i am lucky.. i have get to experience the fun times with good games like this.

also. i have seen how the graphic have evolved into what it is today..

it is also amazing how a game like this can be fun to play after so many years,

addictive. fun, fluid and all that . this shows that a game does not need good graphics to be good :) but try to tell that to a kid that is born in 2000 XD or some years before :P

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E times...

  • In regard to the flicker in the igloo, I think it was to show a candle perhaps.

  • looks hard actually

  • i fvckin' miss my ATARI!!!!!!!

Sold it in '87 to buy a NES when I was 9.

Looking back . . . worst decision ever.

  • I don't understand you when your ice house is full you have to GET ICE TO MAKE A HOLE IN THE ICE HOUSE and at night wouldn't the ice house melt from the fire? Also how do you make a fire with nothing in the middle of nowhere?

  • i love this game it was one the first videogames i ever played :D

  • Wait, how is there ice above freezing temperature? :-/

  • Frostbite Bailey looks like Admiral Ackbar.

  • ..you get full body frostbite and you DIE.

  • This was one of the best games on the Atari 2600. LOL at your comments on the clams. They should remake this in 3-D!

  • My favourite ever game on the 2600...and the only one I actually got the pro status on out of any Activision game at the time...I still recall that my all time high score was 186,000

  • @ldma My fav 2600 game too, even tho it's repetitive like almost all atari games it never got really boring, and you could quickly become really good and handle it when it got fast, and it never reached a point where it became impossible, it was just a matter of how long your concentration would last.

    Controls are also incredibly smooth

  • Loved this game when i was a kid in the 1980's and 1990's. I was very quick but forgot my highest score.

  • This game looks hard as heck.

  • Easily one of the best games to hit the 2600. If you ever need to know how to write a clone of another game (or two) then you need to study this game. I used to play this for hours. A B+? Pffft!

  • Great review. Best 2600 game ever made in my opnion. That Polar Bear was a real prick!

  • boy the guy freezing to death is creepy

  • i love this game

  • My dad took the claw hammer to this because we would play this game 8 hours a day.

  • This game absolutely scared the shit out of me as a child!

  • One of the genuine classics on the 2600 in my opinion and good memories of playing this one. I seem to remember my Dad got quite good at this game :) Nice to see it being recognised as a quality title...

  • and yo dude your voice reminds me of my homie PANIK who died of heart problems but your voice is JUST like his 100%

and ur just as funny as he is lol

  • secret Identity? i'm joking i'm sorry for your loss

  • "as a huge god dam polar bear occupies this area and he is ruthless"

    lol

that made me laugh watchin the bear as you said that lol

  • My friend Aleem has been telling me to check this game out for years and I finally got around to it. Activision made some of the best games for the 2600,especially Kaboom! and Tennis and I just picked up Freeway today.

  • This game was my favourite on the Atari. Activision ruled!

  • WTH.. @2:40 how the hell did you get 107,000+ ?? cheat ..? lol... you should post that whole video of that game man.. id love to see that one.

OH AND wtf can a clam do you anyways? ... Well wear a condom in the beginning.. a clam can do alot . ;)

  • Excuse me 0:08 second, the mouth!!

  • Fast Food

  • What is the name of the game of 0:11 seconds? i want this game since 1995 i need the name please!!!!

  • Berserk

  • cool

  • I spent literally DAYS on this game as kid. Yeah, yeah.. I did have friends too!

This was a quality game, highly playable and intuitive controls.. loved how as it got faster you could jump further and and further and your split second decision making had to become more acute.

So much better than mere Frogger!

This and Vanguard were my top two Atari games

  • atari has sold more units then the PS#

  • great job [=

  • And nowadays all Activision is about is Marvel comics and Tony Hawk...

  • Hey, they have Call of Duty and Guitar Hero.

  • The temperature drops at a constant rate due to global cooling.

  • lol good game for atari!

  • looks fun, nice review, the audio was great on this one like the Megaman 2 video

  • Seems kinda like Frogger.

Activision had a lot of titles for the Atari, it's not surprising you reviewed a chain of their games.

    Nice work!

  • COOL

  • Thanks for reviewing my all time favorite Atari 2600 game!

  • One of my fave Atari reviews good stuff Aqualung.

  • Are those Farenheit or Celcius? Cause 40+ Celcius in the arctic is screwed up.

  • Never even heard of this game but it looks fun.

  • Kinda a cross between Frogger and Q*Bert. :D

  • How can you stand on ice for that long when it's 40 degrees. That's as hot as the equator!

  • Seeing as this game was made in America they are going off of 40 degrees Fahrenheit not Celsius. But either way water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit so the water shouldn't be frozen anyways. But this is an excellent game and anybody with an Atari 2600 should pick it up.

  • think about windchill ;O

anyways, games never 100% follow through with real life physics.

which is what makes them so appealing =D

  • And especially Atari games.

  • I saw this game on Gametrailer's Top 10 video game consoles of all time list and always wondered what game this actually is.

  • I always hated that polar bear. Awesome review!

  • Way better than E.T.

  • I used to have this game and had forgotten all about it. I remember it being fun though.

  • This would've made a great early 3D PSX game. Seems like a natural to me. Great review as always. Keep 'em coming.

  • Hey right on some one reviewed a game for the Atari 2600 that not only have I not played but am interested in playing! Kick ass man!

  • Looks good for Atari. The gameplay sort of reminds me of Frogger. BTW, can you do a review of Universal Chaos on the Atari?

  • I love atari games, they are so..........I honestly don't know how to describe them

  • Simple?

Good review man. Bet the makers of this game won't hassle you.

  • thanks XD

  • Classic?

  • again thank you

  • No problem =)

  • good game!

  • sitting on a park bench....... Aqualung kicks ass

  • Great review. It's was one of my faves... that and Keystone Kapers!

If you are taking requests... could you review Demon Attack?

  • Thanks!

  • Nice i'm first, good review as always man, keep it up. I miss my atari.
