Le Cough. Gumi is an official Vocaloid. E_E. Megpoid is just her package. That's the only difference between her and other Vocaloid like Miku, Rin, Meko, etc. is that they are from Crypton Future Media and Gumi is from Megpoid. But they are all powered under Vocaloid2 (with the exception of Meiko and Kaito- Vocaloid1).That seems to be a huge misunderstanding to people. If you don't see Gumi as a Vocaloid, it's like saying Gakupo isn't a Vocaloid as well, which we all know, he is E_E.
