  • i can see why he was coughing at the end of the video lolz

  • Actually, the table can tilt at any angle.

  • it doesn't look too comfortable to draw on... you could have tried to make the desk tilt into a certain angle.

  • You sounded like you were going to cry towards the end of this video. . . What happened when you cut that circle, man?

  • Those simple mechanic wire thingy is called a zip tie but great video!

  • This way! (walks the other way)

  • you say go right but then you walk to the left... i don't get it... LOL

  • lol My clone did it!

  • Don't animation table have an "angle" to them? Like a drafting table. Otherwise, it's not that easy to look at drawings below, if the table is not slanted. That's just my own opinion though.

  • I love nerds. They are the only sane minded people out there.

  • Thank you so much for this! I have an animation wheel from when I was a cel painter a loooong time ago in Vancouver. And a small Ikea desk. I have been wanting to teach kids how to make flip books and now I know what to do. This is great!

  • where's blue? lol! anyway nice vid thank you sir.

  • Heyy, where can i find a animation disc pro?! I need one of these!

  • I'd be interested how you transfer your animation onto the computer. Do you have a lunchbox type setup?

  • video frame capture or scan the drawings using a frame capture software like TVP Animation, Digicel Flipbook , Toki Line Test ToonBoom Studio (scan only) , or MonkeyJam pencil tester (freeware)

  • is there some way to do this and actually be able to afford it? i animate with a tablet, but I really like stop motion and paper- its what I did for most of my life before I got my tablet.

  • uhhh... youre not going to make the angle of the table adjustable?

  • Since you are fairly computer literate, why invest in "old technology"?

I'm not an animator, I'm a painter, it's a real question, not critisism.

  • Some people just don't do well with tablets. I'd feel more comfortable with a pencil.

  • I have a tablet, I think I like the table better. I would be more okay if the tablet was like a actual touch screen sorta thing.

  • @hayesmanga Word! Most pro studios still draw using classical tools and then scan their drawings to ink/paint digitally.

Plus, if you make it big down the line, you can take some of those pencilled frames, finish them up by hand and sell them!

  • when you ask a question like that you make is seem like there's a one answer to art... Like the one way is right or another is wrong. 2D animation has many different mediums. I think most people would be confused as to you considering 2D pencil animation as out of date.. That's like saying doing stop motion with a 3D software is better then the original way.

  • @erbro Aesthetics of hand drawn stuff is still superior for some forms of animation.

  • looks cool

  • looks very fun.. xD maybe sometime when I can afford it, I'll try. ^-^
