It's a little easier if you just open up a gap and take an edge piece (not the very middle one) out. Then do the same for the other 2 sides so that you can easily take out the corner-center

pieces. That really works 'cuz I only got my cube for like a month and is still pretty stiff.

I try not to bother you but it really works.

I did it!!! Warning! Do NOT twist the center corner and push out, it will break it. Misallign the layers and take it out that way. It literally slides out without effort. Good luck.

This method works, and works very well. But I got about fifteen pieces out when I realized that I might break it eventually. So I just put it back together. But I can honestly say, that I am not going to try to take it apart again for a while
