  • where did u get that stainless glock slide

  • Many people believe pulling the brush all the way out and then back through the crown over time damages the crown and reduces accuracy. i'm on the fence about it....

  • @humansfortargets2 What happens if you do not push the brass brush out of the barrel and instead pull the brush back out while it is in the barrel? Thanks a bunch.

  • did you polish that yourself??im thinking about polishing my 17 but im worried about how it will hold over time any advise??

  • 1:44 That's what she said

  • humans for targets lol

  • thank you

  • Hi Paul. This is a very useful video but hard to search for (search results keep returning the joke one with the tub and shampoo). Can you at least hyperlink this video in the comments section of your shampoo video? Would appreciate that, since Idk about other people, but I actually look for this exact video when I lube my glock twice a year.

Oh and a FYI to anyone reading this: the "toothbrush" gun brushes are available at 99 cent stores. Comes in a 3 pack: nylon, brass, stainless. =)

  • @bibleboy316 I will try to change the tags so it comes up better

  • i think Hoppe's i tooo strong of a solution to use on polymer....

  • Lol can't believe you polished the glock slide, do you have a video of it in action?

  • i was tought to shoot with a Colt .45 M1911 ( I know, little unusual) the person that introduced me to guns and the cleaning showed me to clean with cotton swabs. Is this not recommendable? I found that it sometimes leaves little hairs and stuff, but it gets to the crooks and crannies. Opinions?

  • that upper receiver is legit

  • great video but i have to ask - why didnt you oil the inside of the barrel?

  • Thank you so much! I finally know where to drop the drops. :)

  • your barrel and slide aren't standard glock ones, are they?

  • @EN1GMA79 Yeah they are just polished

  • @humans4targets2 to get it polished do you need a certain kind of polish or can any polish shop do it?

  • @humans4targets2 where did you find some polished ones at?

  • some1 please answer me what is that thing calld on your slide the skull ive been looking all over the internet for days trying to find it so i can purchase 1 for my glock pls answer great vid im subbn

  • @eldergow2 Just look up punisher skull

  • @humans4targets2 yhea thanks i know the logo but the back part what is it calld slide back? thanks for the response bro i apriciate it

  • @eldergow2 Slide plate cover

  • @eldergow2 just go to ebay and write this

FITS GLOCK BACK PLATE COMBO PAK PUNISHER 9MM 40CAL

  • @eldergow2 thanks

  • your barrel is silver

  • hey h4t can you help me i got a lil problem with my glock i posted a video so if you can check it out and let me know what you think. PS just clean my gun by following your steps thanks

  • I'm a newbie handgun owner. I noticed you did not lube the INSIDE of the barrel. Why not?

  • @TheHoustonSalsero If you are going to be shooting the gun soon do not put oil in the barrel, the oil attracts allthe dirt powder and smoke!

  • I watched at least 5 different youtube vids about cleaning glocks and yours was the only one that lubricated the frame at the rear end of the trigger bar that the owner's manual says is "most important." Very straightforward and clear directions. Thanks!

  • @banisua Thanks man

  • 1:45 THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

  • nice video, where did you get the chromed slide?is it custom?

  • nice video, where did you get the chromed slide?is it special edition?

  • Doesn't all that oil in the frame end up attracting dirt and grit into places you are not cleaning with the brush?

  • great video, consider a thin smear of 'Garand grease' on the steel frame tabs, cam of barrel lug, locking block, under slide hood etc. grease is superior to oil and will stay put even under water

  • Thank you for the video. I just picked up a Glock 17 yesterday and need to oil it prior to taking to the range. Being new to it, this video like this was very informative.

  • do you clean your cleaning brushes after? how and with what?

  • @aannkk Just wipe them off with a rag

  • Just bought a g27 gen4 and I am Loving it. This video is very helpful especially to new Glock owners like myself. I went with the glock 27 due to price to performance ratio, and the easy concealment of the weapon. Thanks Again from Glock's newest BIGGEST Fan!

  • hi, i have a g26 and i havent cleaned it extensively lately. would it be ok to disassemble the pistol, and put the parts in a tumbler?

    thx for the vids.

  • @aulvalenzuela21 I would just clean it by hand, it's easy

  • @humans4targets2 awesome, ok.. thx for the help bro !

  • @humans4targets2 hickok and you are are the best in my opinion for cleaning the glock thank you for this video my good sir

  • awsome vid.

just got into glocks, and pistols in general. I always had a taurus revolver to mess around with but got bored of it. My question was do you get a lot of movement with your glock? The best way to describe it is that it jiggles ever so slightly but the sound is noticeable. Gun shop guy said its no problem but I don't know. Second opinion requested; thanks!

  • @TJstrong11 Glocks are loose and move freely, that's how they never jam. If everything was no free play they would jam all the time. I have had 6 or 7 and they have all been that way. They have also all been very very reliable and excellent shooting guns!

  • Good video, thanks!

  • great vid! thx...I keep it for my reference :)

  • great video. But one question: I'm new to guns and I don't know if I have to lube the handgun's bore with oil or not? thx

  • @majalinno For long term storage yes.... But not for shooting, the oil will collect the fouling in the barrel.

  • damn it now i have to clean my g19 again lol. thanks for this video man.

  • Do you do anything with the recoil spring? I have used CLR BreakFree on mine but I have a friend who said you should never do anything with the recoil spring. Thoughts? Great video. Thanks for making it.

  • @daveanneandgirls Just wipe the dirt off the recoil spring and leave it dry.

  • Great video! Thanks for posting. Do you have any opinions as to using an all-in-one cleaner-lubricator-penetrator instead of a separate cleaner and lubricator? How often do you break it down like this?

  • i use rem oil as my lubracant on my glocks. is this ok to use, or should i switch to a different lubracant?

  • @thefamcnaj That is fine, I used it myself for years.

  • Great Detailed video. Thank You.

  • This is an excellent video, Thank you so much for the time you put into making this tutorial for us. I just bout a Glock 23 yesterday and I will be using the video as a reference for cleaning. Thanks,

  • @razoredge435 Thanks man, also I put up anew cleaning video in HD

  • @humans4targets2 dude your glock is a fucking beast man i love it

  • is it normal to have some shiney metal shaving inside your slide just little ones?

  • @Glockcrazy19 That is just debris from the bullet and caseing and yes it is normal.

  • awww yeah,, just got my glock 19. bout to clean with this awesome video as a reference.

  • @skt4271 I just put up a new cleaning video in HD

  • great vid keep it coming should i clean my gun after every time i take it \to the range and shoot?

  • BTW great video! Thx for the information.

  • I have a glock that i suspect of having too much oiling. I have completely disassembled it and was wondering if cleaning all internal parts with cleaner and rinsing them with water would be a good idea, or a bad idea. I have seen someone do it, i imagine if the parts dried completely it wouldnt hurt? I mean, ther is oil in the firing pin channel, extractor spring channel...all over! Idk wth happened, but i hard mixed stories of whether or not to oil the firing pin spring. Any advice would help.

  • @Glock31c357 Just use a q-tip in the fireing pin channel, dont use water, just use cleaners and wipe everything dry.

  • hey man i just got my glock 23 love it where can i get the stainless steel slide like yours i have look almost every where

  • I use a lot less oil on my Glock in the Minnesota winter. The oil can and will freeze.

  • @chips2win I know what you mean, I live in Minnesota too, and I always use very little oil in my carry weapons.

  • very well done!

  • 2:05, James Bond?

  • actually, to clarify... there ARE a couple vids on how to disassemble the kahr (cw9, i think), and one of them REFERENCES the cleaning process, but there is nothing with the sort of detail demonstrated in your video. breakdown and reassembly are covered in the manual and since i'm mostly literate, those vids aren't really what i'm looking for.

  • thanks for this. i was unable to find anything on how to clean my kahr p380 but, due to the similarity of design, this video was very helpful. do you have any tips specific to cleaning the kahr DAOs? or would the cleaning procedures be identical? i am currently enjoying the infamous "karh break-in period" and just want to make sure i'm doing things properly.

  • Thanks for the video. Got the G27 and I love it!

  • dude great video keep up the good work just got my glock..excited to shoot it..just a suggestion next time have a brither light around while making video.

  • @Bhama100 Even better, I new HD Canon camera and all new lighting in all my video's.

  • Brushie brushie brushie

  • ive been checking out some sewing machine iol. banana iol also . any thoughts ?

  • Sorry abt that the browser screwed up!

  • Where did you get that slide... what finish is that and where do I get that punisher plate on the back??

  • Where did you get that slide... what finish is that and where do I get that punisher plate on the back??

  • Where did you get that slide... what finish is that and where do I get that punisher plate on the back??

  • Glocks are very reliable due to the loose tolerance design. Many gun manufacturers make reliable guns but you must do your part. The great thing about Glocks is the simplistic design that only uses the parts required to make it a great gun.

  • @ProxStud i sould love to own a glock but there are many good variants of the glock that are proven. springfield XD series is a great gun and easy to use. i may be bias about it cause i own one but im a glock fan and i tried one out fot the week. i like it alot. no problems after a 1000 rounds.

  • @mjmoto72 I just went to the Gun Range yesterday with some friends. I shot my buddy's XD Compact .45 and it shoots great. It's a larger gun than my G36, but I am about to get a Gen 4 G19 soon. I like many gun manufacturers, but I still prefer the Glock for it's reliability, simplicity and it's accuracy. The less moving parts the better. I don't care for the 2 chambered round indicators on the XS, the Grip safety or the high barrel axis. XD is still a great gun, but I prefer Glock. :-)

  • @ProxStud I have a G23, G17 & XD9 tactical. All 3 are good guns. Maybe I'll get an XD45 next. I shot one at the range & liked it a lot.

  • the bb comes out if i point the gun down

    what should i do

  • the bb comes out if pointed down

    what should i do

  • Are glocks a reliable handgun? I was thinking about getting a carriers permit when i get old enough but not too sure how much it will cost or a decent gun for protection and general firing for recreation. Also are glocks expensive?

  • @razor005 Yes they are reliable and they run $499-$560 depending on model and where you buy from.

  • @humans4targets2 Ok well are there any other cheaper and reliable guns. Or is the glock as basic as it gets? If not then thats cool. I'll just have to save up.

  • @razor005 Well if money is the issue, you could go Ruger SR-9 for about $400, sr-9 is a solid reliable gun.

  • I like your punisher logo on your slide :)

  • who did your polishing on your pistol?

  • @Nicho2177 Some guy im MI but he stopped doing it now.

  • I was wondering if I'd be putting too much lube on the barrel by using my finger and not a cloth. I read in the manual that it could cause a gunk buildup if I overlube, and I won't be using it too often. Is that something I should worry about, or are they talking about when someone puts way too much lube?

  • @ShaggyKitty That is fine you can do it that way, oil dripping off any of the parts is too much, a light coating is fine.

  • @humans4targets2 Thank You!

  • God Bless You! I need a very accurate and descriptive example of how to clean, and where to lube my glock. Thank You!

  • I like how the Glocks have the hex or octa barrel instead of the traditional grove cut rifled barrel.

  • I added my "scrub brush" aka old tooth brush to my cleaning kit.. helps a lot for all the main gunk -=) haha

  • Have you tried the tornado brush from hoppes. It's part of their elite products which I always use on my guns. Also they have elite bore gel which is better than the cleaner for the barrel.

  • If this works for you, cool. I use Balistol in my guns. I have a Ruger P95 that was jamming a lot. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I asked a smith. He told me to take it down and clean it really well with balistol. Bam...no more jams. Smooth as butter now. Just my 2 cents.

  • I was wondering if cleaning the taurus 24/7 pro would be about the same as the glock you did?

  • Sure, this can apply to almost all hand guns.

  • @humans4targets2 Sorry to go off topic but with my glock when I load it with one of my clips. The gun doesn't return back to ready position all the way. At the end about half an inch is exposed and one time by itself with that clip it closed on it's own suddenly. Since it happens with the one clip should I assume the clip is bad. It happened to a second clip but stopped after I cleaned the gun so I don't know.

  • sounds like tension on your spring the gun cant push the bullet all the way into the chamber

  • @bugsbunny159 Thanks but that magazine eventually cracked at the top when I was at the range and become unusable. Looks like the magazine itself was bad all along.

  • Hey sorry about that har77, this is the first time that I have seen your messages on here.

  • @humans4targets2 no problem.

  • wow what kinda glcok is that i have never saw 1 with the slide crome or bbl ? y no il on the spring ?

  • It was a project gun that I had custom made, it have humans4targets engraved on the right side of the slide, I have a video up showing the whole gun. If you put oil on the spring be sure to wipe it all off and dry it, it will just collect powder and crud.

  • i use that spary foam shit it take out all the copper an it comes out of the bbl green cuz of the copper

  • Nice, I heard that stuff was good.

  • Very nice video, helped me out a lot. One question about the recoil spring tube and recoil spring, does this ever need any cleaning or lube?? Thanks

  • You can scrub it with cleaner but dry it off really good no need for any oil.

  • Punisher logo on the slide!!, props man!

  • H4T...what's your opinion on the pressurized "gun scrubber" stuff?

  • Works good, but very strong odor.

  • Another very solid video from H4T

  • Thanks animal.

  • thanks man i asked you and you delivered!!!

  • No problem.

  • Have you used gun butter, it seems to work really well for my glocks, and you only need a very little bit for it to work well.

  • I have not tried it yet, but from what I read about it the stuff is good.

  • i hold my slide down and scrub the firing pin with the bristle brush is that ok

  • Just make sure it is dry and you will be fine, you do not want any liquid in where the fireing pin is.

  • It's really easy to strip the slide, just do that and then you don't have to worry about it. ;)

  • See my video of me cleaning glocks in the bathtub....

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks. For some reason...I usually can't find my posts on your comment page.

  • Man I really like that slide and barrel

  • Thanks Tater!

  • Nice and simple to clean but the bathtub method with toothpaste and prell shampoo seems so much more fun. LOL.

  • hahahaha I was wondering if anyone was going to mention that....

  • hey man I been cleaning my glocks in the tub like your other vid is this your new way ,man I like this way better LOL!!

  • great tips and vid 5*

  • wheres your miltec at stubby??????

  • you forgot to oil the rails on the frame and the inside of the barrel needs light oiling too..

  • No need for oil on the frame rails, they ride in the channel that I filled with oil on the slide, and if you are soon going to shoot your gun dont put oil in the barrel because it just makes all the powder and crud stick, now for long term storage oil inside the barrel.

  • Good video buddy!

  • Thanks man.

  • hey h4t

i noticed that when you were cleaning you slide there was a skull on the back

did that slide come with that glock?

  • You have to order that slide plate cover, I got mine from LoneWolf.

  • h4t 4 prez

  • never use hoppes for chrome lined barrels, it will eat it out.

  • I know people that do that, only for glocks though, you would not want to try that with any other gun.....it's ok for glocks though

  • i thought you cleaned your glock's in the bathtub? LOL! another great vid, thanks man.

  • im loving that barrel

  • Five Stars My Friend!

  • I want that Glock. I know this is old hat for you but it is great info for the rest of us.Most people over oil their guns.Especially Glocks. Thanks Paul.5*s

  • No problem Bill, thanks for watching.

  • That was great how you used the Force to put that slide in you hand! Obi one gun obi. 5*****

  • Well i figured out why it's called hoppes! LoL.. Cleaned mine yesterday came upstairs almost passed out ! Buzz Buzz Buzz. Good as always dude! Later!

  • you think a really tight fit when shoving a patch through the barrel would scratch it? That jericho 941 that i got has some scratches in it near the chamber end of the barrel. At first i thought it was just the solvent smudging up, but it's definately scratched. :(

  • No, the barrel is hardened steel the patch and cleaning rod will not harm it.

  • heh h4t ive got a couple glocks i need cleaned can i send them to you lol great vid cant wait till the next one thanks

  • lololol, if you were close I would clean them!

  • You should put a drop on the firing pin safety.

  • Not on glocks. It will get into the firing pin/striker channel and attract dirt and gum it up. Once that happens you can start to have light primer strikes.

    H4T did it perfect. 3, 2, 1 and not a drop more.

  • Never oil near the firing pin!

  • @humans4targets2 true but it's not like it's that difficult to clean out he firing pin channel.

  • umm yeah I think h4t knows how to do that, he has detailed video's up of taking the whole gun apart, h4t knows more about glocks than anyone I have ever seen. So I think he knows how difficult it is clean the channel.

  • @humans4targets2

How difficult is it to clean the channel? I think i need to do this to my Glock. Someone put oil inside the firing pin channel, and now there is oil almost everywhere in my glock :(

Bought it used, and didn't notice at first. Can you tell me which video you have done this in?

    Thx

  • @Glock31c357 Check out Hickok45 on youtube

  • Dishwasher.

  • best one I have seen. thank you Paul

  • hoppes products are my favorite also. great vid paul.

  • Thanks BMF

  • Very nice video!

  • good stuff....i used Hoppes on all my guns. that stuff is great. damn i just loooooove that H4T Glock

  • Thanks trigger
