What did you run for your best with the 6 speed set up? I went 10.47 at 128 last night with boost leak. Stock short block ls1 with 317 heads, 67mm Turbo.

On the lowest boost setting it went 10.6 @ 133 but track prep around here is a joke. If I remember way back when I ran that it spun pretty bad coming out and was fighting it the first half of the track. I never ran it out hard nor on the higher boost levels back when it was a 6 spd.

It's basically a stock block, stock cube, stock crank LS6 with AFR heads and a custom turbo cam.

"Gear whine" is a torn up axle bearing(s). Those axles are pretty much notorious for it.

Uh no. 12 bolt rears are known for the aggressive cut on the gears. Some brands are better than others but almost all of them exhibit a "whine" due to their race style cut. The steeper you go on the gear ratio the worse it gets as well. This happens from day one and is not a torn up axle bearing.
