Being from Buffalo NY i'm familiar with the falls. 20-25 mins in a car. I think you're looking at the hot air balloon and its beacon. I see why people might think it's an UFO,it is a bizarre sight. It's a internally lite and the flash is the warning beacon for aierial tours at night.
Yes I have seen it a couple more times also! It is not going any where yet. Perhaps there is still something it needs to do here. I know for certain that it is some kind of craft very high up in the sky because you need to look straight up to see it, and there is no way that its a blimp or tethered balloon.
it was last night(march 22) around 8-930ish pm then it left then i geuss it came backa bit later that night. it was in the exact same spot as this video.the lights were passing over the same spot and everything!!
definatly not a fake i live in niagara and my husabend and myself seen them together twice our son adn a close friend watched it for twenty minutes the thirsd time adn one of the sightings was during the day this is no hoax i love the footage great job! actually, its real as shit, i work at Casino Niagara and this was above the casino 4 times that i witnessed. I seen the weird lights pointing in 2 diff. directions....and when the Pizza Pizza searchlights went accross it, it reflected back like it was metallic!! CRAZY! but very REAL! go NIAGARA!!

I can also say this, there is very good reason for the craft to position near the niagara water falls. Energy. Water gives off high amounts of Negative Ions under these conditions, and the amount between Horseshoe FallsCANADA, and the lesser American Falls this area is a REFUELLING PARADISE for any Ion propelled Alien craft.
Its very exciting that the craft returned yesterday after about 3 weeks of nothing. The skies were perfect many nights also but it seemed as though they took a temporary leave. Perhaps the craft went somewhere to study or explore a different place, and now came back. I hope these are exploratory vessels and they will stay for a long time.

Didn't you look at the video and see the tower at the end? That video proves your "theory" dead wrong in the most obvious and simple way possible. It's simply impossible for the light to have been an elevator going up to the tower.

Have you seen the other video which shows this phenomenon to be waaaay further up than the tower extends? In fact, at the end of the video, the camera pans down and you can clearly see the tower.

Ok, I went ahead and viewed every video I could and I've found only a minute or two of footage that needs explaining beyond simple ice crystals:
1- Anybody notice the prolonged delay in the reflected light of the two beams? This delay is a perfect example of photons being scattered and ricocheting in a dense pocket of a reflective substance... and whattaya know, just like ice crystals. Mediums such as this are well known to temporarily trap ricocheting photons and cause prolonged illumination.
2- The lights which someone here said don't seem to be coming from the ground can easily be explained by another singular stationary spotlight. In fact, it could very well have been another person who noticed the prolonged delay in reflection from the rotating searchlights. The spectrum of light is obviously different and would seem to suggest another type of lamp was used.
UFO... I still doubt it.
It's good to keep an open mind, but no so open that one brain falls out...
6. Spotlights DO rotate around the night sky. Would it not seem likely that other reflections of light would be visible as the beam interacts with crytals in its path given similar atmospheric conditions in the area at these times.
4. light events change configuation at lower altitudes. Bookend light change form 1 per side to two or three. reflecting light becomes cylindrical often.
5. lights appear brighter on clouds than spotlight beam (which can be seen all the way up with naked eye) If souce is a ground based light... the source should be obvious and apparent... it isn't.
1. Rotating lights have been present for years... light events since only recently.
2. Spotlights cause relecting light only. The other lights (that bookend the reflection) are present without the spotlight... even when they are off. I know many other lights could be factors also.
3. Light event will remain located in one spot and seems to move vertically to higher (or lower) altitudes. It does not move along the vector of the spotlight beam shining at an angle

5- are you suggesting that these lights were NOT ground based promotional search lights from a tourist location?
5- what other lights? Like I've previously stated, unless you have many other promotional searchlights rotating around, then there shouldn't be many other observations.
6. WOW! The spotlight circles around man... and only reflects in one(1) location. The point was that it would seem logical that the circling light might find other crystals to reflect off of given similiar atmospheric conditions in the area. It doesn't. Please say incredulity again... I like that word.

The reason for your interest (assuming you haven't seen this given your lack of knowledge regarding it) is not at all apparent. What gives? Why the bad attitude?

You can see the Bar part is 3 dimensional, SINCE the spotlight is reflecting off of it, AND only off the EDGE, not the entire thing, suggesting a curved cylindrical surface.

I don't doubt the OTHER LIGHTS are a Broken Pillar effect , but it's possible it's CAUSED by the object.

This is not an effect of light pillars (what the hell is a broken pillar?)
Further, don't you find it a little telling that the sustained lights are directly above the tower?!?!
No camera really picks it up properly either, unless you SEE IT yourself, you can't SEE THE DETAIL,the shadows it makes,when it MOVESetc
I've studied light pillars, and this is not ALWAYS at the ZENITH like a pillar should be. I've seen it from 40-60 DEGREES up from the GROUND and have EVIDENCE of that.
As well sometimes being INSIDE thick clouds.
I've viewed if from 3.9km away and saw the FLASHING at that distance.
Something else is happening besides this effect as it doesn't add up.

I still stand firm that this is a simple phenomenon of ice crystals being directly illuminated by ground based searchlights. Nobody has yet to suggest evidence to the contrary. Until then, I am fine with debating it further.

You also have good insight into the science of this so let's put that to good use and solve this thing (if it can be). You can't view these 'lights' so you are going to need to rely on witness reports.... that's us. So I say screw the mudslinging and let's collaborate.
Niagara Falls is a relatively small city with an ample suppy of powerful lights. Let's start with this being an effect from ground based lights. The lights do appear in a constant location in the sky. What will change is the altitude,which is seemingly dependant on cloud cover (be it heavy or fine). We realize that this indicates that the source is something from the ground... but from where?... we can't determine this. There just don't seem to be lights powerfull enough pointed that way.
with the acception of the promotional spotlight. This light ( only one of the beams) illuminates the sky and causes a reflection in the center of two other visible lights, which are dimmer and bookend the reflecting light (which is as bright as lightning). Obviously if form the ground the outside lights are from a different source than the spotlight... but from where is difficult to find. Why (unless mere coincidence) would all of this be visible in a small portion of the night sky?
Next to Pylon tower there is a large powerful lighting system used to illuminate the falls. Perhaps the stationary light was from there? or
I find it pretty reasonable to consider that the promo searchlight company aligned another searchlight from a different location (perhaps from the above suggestion) to sit stationary right in the path of the rotating beams.

I suggested earlier that someone may have seen the flashing and pointed their own light at it to see better?
And keep in mind the observation that a dense pocket of ice crystals is a perfect medium for temporarily trapping photons, thus the prolonged visible flash microseconds after the beams cross and pass.

@twothlesswonder Ridiculous thinking it is ice crystals when the earlier videos and reports were from very mild months in Niagara Falls well before ice crystals could possibly congregate.
If you are under the impression that the temperatures you feel at ground level are ANYWHERE close to what is up that high in the clouds then I'm afraid you're mistaken. Try skydiving sometime and see how cold it gets when you begin to ascend to such heights.
BTW, do you have any extra footage to add to the list? If not, then I'm afraid all we have to go on is your word. I tend to stick to arguing points that can be objectively observed over and over, namely video evidence.
Very true, but my question is can the revolving light simply reflect a" bright flash" just by crossing paths with another search light aimed at that area? Light, reflecting light? If two light beams cross, the point at which they cross will appear twice as illuminated as the same point on a single beam. If this crossing point happens to be where a dense cloud of ice crystals is, you'll have quite a light show. Photons, as far as I know, do not interact but it's not photons scattering photons here, it's presumably ice crystals.
There's two rotating searchlights and a stationary one. The rotating lights are causing the flash, the stationary one isn't.
Also note that the stationary light seems to be beaming right into the dense cloud a bit further back or deeper (maybe to a less dense area?) and is reflected slightly off track to another pocket?
At least, that's what it looks like to me... I appreciate the the cool down, Mosher...
@twothlesswonder wow, lots of back and forth here, one thing about the two beams crossing and being bright, watch the first 30 secs of my pt 1, the object flashes BEFORE all the light beams all meet. just one hits it and it reflects.
I know... It's been raining here a lot so I've not been working much. I've been bored.
I looked at the vid and somewhere between 20-30 you can see what appears to be what your describing. I'm not so much stressing the two beams meeting being the only spot that would reflect as I'm suggesting that where they meet would be much brighter if the crystal pocket were there.
Further, the other video I was linked shows this same thing with the ice pocket in line with the lights crossing paths.
handeroo, could this recurring cloud of reflective material be from the falls themselves? Lots of spray is kicked up there and I'm sure plenty of it can be kicked up into the troposphere. Perhaps specific wind patterns can do this. Anyway, If it is possible, I don't see any reason why superdense pockets of ice can't form above the falls area. In fact, I would almost expect it the more I think about it.
Believe me, this has all been thought of (except some individual light) and it just doesn't hold water. The bookending lights (as I call them) have been present when the spotlight and the falls illumaination were both off. Also the illumination lights are directed at the falls so any relection would be off of moving water and rocks and would not produce the constant lights that appear in the sky.

I wasn't suggesting that the lights were reflecting off of the water and up into the sky, I was pointing out that there is multiple high powered lights can easily be employed to point straight up. All it takes is one.
I am suggesting that the stationary beam of light IS coming from a terrestrial source because of the obvious solid beam to the bottom left. It appears to dive further back into the pocket of ice and is slightly deflected to the upper right where it strikes another dense area.
Iwas going to expand on that but had to go. You make a good point and what I was going to say next was that at higher altitudes the lights appear closer together (say 1-1.5 inches across the sky) and at lower altitudes.... when the clouds are lower... they appear MUCH further apart (approx.1-2 ft across) but ALWAYS straight up... like hurt your neck... straight up.

So... IF (AND I DO MEAN IF) the light are coming from the ground then they would have to be....
located VERY far apart on the ground AND be the same type of light.
IF the source is above the clouds then it could easily be coming from one source and this would explain why the lights are further apart at lower elevations.
They would be shining downwards and outwards in that senario.
I haven't seen lights on the ground that are pointed upward and inward (as they would have to be) to produce that effect.
Are you suggesting that the moving beams are not searchlights? I figure that the moving beams being terrestrially based is the one obvious truth here.
As for the stationary beam of light, I explained a possibility above. It is a directly observable phenomenon that light can be reflected off the edge of a pocket of ice crystals, snow or water. Much like the surface of a lake or pool. Especially when they're lower energy photons such as can be observed in the video.

The spotlight (of course terr.based) causes the reflection in the centre of the two outer lights (that remain constant as the spotlight beam circles around the sky) Please see "Niagara Falls UFO Nov15th" @ 1:02min. The middle light is the flash or reflection. what I was exploring was the notion that if the source for the outer lights was from ABOVE the clouds and the reflection was the spotlight beam simply reflecting back after striking...
I already tried to give an explanation but you gleaned right over it without mention. It looks very much like a solid beam of weaker light that acutely reflected off the edge of a dense pocket of ice crystals which is further away from the camera than the flashing crossed beam area. The upper right light is where this reflected light hit another dense pocket but at a more oblique angle which terminated the beam abrubtly.
@twothlesswonder ....this object(whatever it might be) then that could be a possible explanation for why the outer two lights appear much farther apart at lower altitudes. The point was that I think you have to consider this option since we just can't find lights on the ground that could cause these outer lights to appear so far apart at lower altitudes. Keep in mind that the outer light have been seen when the spotlight is off... so the spotlight can't be the source of all the lights.

I'm giving you rather sound explanations for what you are seeing but you fail to even acknowledge the obvious plausibility of any of them. Instead, you just counterposit as much as you can which places "something" up in the clouds instead of just the clouds themselves. Actually don't bother answering that... It doesn't matter. You've found an explanation and don't need to consider anything else....so you should be all good. I don't think I said anything incredulous here so I'll leave it at that.
well, there isn't an hour, like 18 minutes for the' full length' i cut some out....to see it with your eyes is so much different than through a camera. this is a metallic object, reflecting light back. we watched it for an hour that night, it does not move...ice crystals will. i could see a flat surface and parallel lines...the best shot is when the camera is zoomed out, some crisp refelctions show at times...there is something there.
There is a consistent flash in the video, about 7-8 seconds apart from each flash. That could mean it's a radio tower or something. Always debunk the rational stuff before moving onto Alien Ships or other UFO's. Thanks for reading! :D
True , but towers flash faster than 7-8 seconds so that helicopters & lite aircraft dont hit them.

Witnesses have seen object leave at high speed. I watched a bright orb shoot across the entire sky back on Dec 10 consistent dot, no flare no trail. Looked like space station passing in orbit or a satellite. It must have been around orbit, only thing is that it travelled about 10 TIMES FASTER than a satellite or orbiting shuttle.
Yeah, and I've seen high velocity satellites sailing over my house here in Florida too. Saw a really big one last month. We've got hundreds of satellites up there all different sizes and trajectories, speeds and orbital distances. If it's a unblinking white spot traveling in a straight steady line, it's a satellite, be it junk or functional.
With all due respect, I wouldn't put much stock in "eyewitness" accounts unless accompanied by photos and/or videos.

I watched some of them. I certainly don't have an hour to watch every second of every one so if you have specific points in your footage that clearly displays a huge vessel of some sort, then please post the precise times it ir they can be seen.
From what I HAVE seen in your footage, I don't see anything that would suggest this not be a simple phenomenon of reflections from ice crystals. It was frigid and overcast, that says a lot right there.
Do you REALLY think that up in those clouds is a nice balmy 10C? It snows here over Florida all the time, none ever makes its to the ground though. We even get hail here and more often then not, it's hot when it happens. Seriously, those lights beams can traverse miles into the sky and clouds so there's no way you can rule out ice crystals.
I'm sure it was weird looking but you can't just go ruling out natural phenomenon without an understanding of the physical principles involved.
Explain why after this first sighting, it has been seen over 2 dozen times now. Why in the history of Niagara falls has nothing like this ever been seen or reported before? I've done lots of research and there have never been ice crystals anywhere that look like this ( at least not any pictures i've seen) look up "Broken Ice pillars" This theory seems more likely, but there are still many holes!
Do you have a degree as a meteorologist? Saw the picture of ice pillars you refer too. There's only this picture anywhere on the net that I can find. And in order to see these pillars you have to be at 90 degrees straight up, and the light source has to be between you and the object. Yet I've seen it at 40, 60 and 80 plus degrees. I'm not saying it's a UFO, but so far all the theories can be debunked. there's footage from at least 7 of these sightings here on youtube. keep up the debate!
Do you now realize how wrong your claim of 90 degrees was? Do a little thought experiment:
Shine a laser light at a mirror at a 45 degree angle. Now slowly move it around to a 90 degree angle (perpendicular) to the surface of the mirror. Does the laser now hit the mirror and bounce at a 90 degree angle? If it does, you might need glasses, if not, welcome to reality. ;-)

They're promotional search lights! They're designed to light up the night sky with beams of light. They come in several set-ups of 1, 2, 3 and 4searchlights and they rotate around an epicenter to mark the epicenter of the advertised event. These lights are designed to light the night sky up with beams and illuminated clouds. And whattaya know, it was overcast!
Niagra has "hundreds" of rotating searchlights in the night sky? There should only be as many examples as there are searchlights.
1- you boldly asserted that it was 10c so there's no way ice crystals could be in the sky.

the ice crystal theory might work for some sightings. BUT, i know what i saw and recorded was a solid metallic like object which was reflecting BRIGHT AS LIGHTNING the spotlights which shine from Clifton Hill. Regardless, you are completely wrong. LIGHT PILLARS are reflected light and they do NOT have to be viewed from a 90% angle. Photons are always reflected at the opposite angle they come in from. Always.
And again, your video isn't light pillars. It's searchlights. Very different phenomenon.

Ice crystals in the sky is not a rare phenomenon whatsoever. They are almost ALWAYS there to some extent or another. There's a whole panoply of variable shapes, types of movement, reflective indexes, densities, etc which can produce MANY visual appearances. The variability of clouds and their appearances ALONE is staggering to behold.
Believe what you like. But don't insist others should based on poor video and a wholly subjective late night visual experience.

You don't find it the least bit odd that the UFO in question here is directly related to spotlights rotating across a misty/cloudy sky? @twothlesswonder No, because the UFOs have been appearing for months now on random days. More and more frequent now. They have been sighted on many different dates by hundreds of different people. There is a long sharp edge to it when the rotating spotlight clips it. They glow pale icy blue and change position over time but not always.
THey have been real close at least once that we know by shivercanada. more colour glows at closer range. Size is 2km object roughly.
this isnt a UFO, the shine is the two lights from the casino that cross and once the lights hit in the center they make that flash.

Being from Buffalo NY i'm familiar with the falls. 20-25 mins in a car. I think you're looking at the hot air balloon and its beacon. I see why people might think it's an UFO,it is a bizarre sight. It's a internally lite and the flash is the warning beacon for aierial tours at night.

Yes I have seen it a couple more times also! It is not going any where yet. Perhaps there is still something it needs to do here. I know for certain that it is some kind of craft very high up in the sky because you need to look straight up to see it, and there is no way that its a blimp or tethered balloon.

I can also say this, there is very good reason for the craft to position near the niagara water falls. Energy. Water gives off high amounts of Negative Ions under these conditions, and the amount between Horseshoe FallsCANADA, and the lesser American Falls this area is a REFUELLING PARADISE for any Ion propelled Alien craft.

Its very exciting that the craft returned yesterday after about 3 weeks of nothing. The skies were perfect many nights also but it seemed as though they took a temporary leave. Perhaps the craft went somewhere to study or explore a different place, and now came back. I hope these are exploratory vessels and they will stay for a long time.

Ok, I went ahead and viewed every video I could and I've found only a minute or two of footage that needs explaining beyond simple ice crystals:
1- Anybody notice the prolonged delay in the reflected light of the two beams? This delay is a perfect example of photons being scattered and ricocheting in a dense pocket of a reflective substance... and whattaya know, just like ice crystals. Mediums such as this are well known to temporarily trap ricocheting photons and cause prolonged illumination.

2- The lights which someone here said don't seem to be coming from the ground can easily be explained by another singular stationary spotlight. In fact, it could very well have been another person who noticed the prolonged delay in reflection from the rotating searchlights. The spectrum of light is obviously different and would seem to suggest another type of lamp was used.
UFO... I still doubt it.
It's good to keep an open mind, but no so open that one brain falls out...

6. Spotlights DO rotate around the night sky. Would it not seem likely that other reflections of light would be visible as the beam interacts with crytals in its path given similar atmospheric conditions in the area at these times.

4. light events change configuation at lower altitudes. Bookend light change form 1 per side to two or three. reflecting light becomes cylindrical often.
5. lights appear brighter on clouds than spotlight beam (which can be seen all the way up with naked eye) If souce is a ground based light... the source should be obvious and apparent... it isn't.

Points to consider:
1. Rotating lights have been present for years... light events since only recently.
2. Spotlights cause relecting light only. The other lights (that bookend the reflection) are present without the spotlight... even when they are off. I know many other lights could be factors also.
3. Light event will remain located in one spot and seems to move vertically to higher (or lower) altitudes. It does not move along the vector of the spotlight beam shining at an angle

You can see the Bar part is 3 dimensional, SINCE the spotlight is reflecting off of it, AND only off the EDGE, not the entire thing, suggesting a curved cylindrical surface.
If you can't see that, you're in denial.
I don't doubt the OTHER LIGHTS are a Broken Pillar effect , but it's possible it's CAUSED by the object.

No camera really picks it up properly either, unless you SEE IT yourself, you can't SEE THE DETAIL,the shadows it makes,when it MOVESetc
I've studied light pillars, and this is not ALWAYS at the ZENITH like a pillar should be. I've seen it from 40-60 DEGREES up from the GROUND and have EVIDENCE of that.
As well sometimes being INSIDE thick clouds.
I've viewed if from 3.9km away and saw the FLASHING at that distance.
Something else is happening besides this effect as it doesn't add up.

Niagara Falls is a relatively small city with an ample suppy of powerful lights. Let's start with this being an effect from ground based lights. The lights do appear in a constant location in the sky. What will change is the altitude,which is seemingly dependant on cloud cover (be it heavy or fine). We realize that this indicates that the source is something from the ground... but from where?... we can't determine this. There just don't seem to be lights powerfull enough pointed that way.

with the acception of the promotional spotlight. This light ( only one of the beams) illuminates the sky and causes a reflection in the center of two other visible lights, which are dimmer and bookend the reflecting light (which is as bright as lightning). Obviously if form the ground the outside lights are from a different source than the spotlight... but from where is difficult to find. Why (unless mere coincidence) would all of this be visible in a small portion of the night sky?

Next to Pylon tower there is a large powerful lighting system used to illuminate the falls. Perhaps the stationary light was from there? or
I find it pretty reasonable to consider that the promo searchlight company aligned another searchlight from a different location (perhaps from the above suggestion) to sit stationary right in the path of the rotating beams.

And keep in mind the observation that a dense pocket of ice crystals is a perfect medium for temporarily trapping photons, thus the prolonged visible flash microseconds after the beams cross and pass.

If you are under the impression that the temperatures you feel at ground level are ANYWHERE close to what is up that high in the clouds then I'm afraid you're mistaken. Try skydiving sometime and see how cold it gets when you begin to ascend to such heights.
BTW, do you have any extra footage to add to the list? If not, then I'm afraid all we have to go on is your word. I tend to stick to arguing points that can be objectively observed over and over, namely video evidence.

Very true, but my question is can the revolving light simply reflect a" bright flash" just by crossing paths with another search light aimed at that area? Light, reflecting light? I didn't think that was possible? I'll cool down now from the insults and sarcasm, because I too just want to solve this case!!

If two light beams cross, the point at which they cross will appear twice as illuminated as the same point on a single beam. If this crossing point happens to be where a dense cloud of ice crystals is, you'll have quite a light show. Photons, as far as I know, do not interact but it's not photons scattering photons here, it's presumably ice crystals.
There's two rotating searchlights and a stationary one. The rotating lights are causing the flash, the stationary one isn't.

Also note that the stationary light seems to be beaming right into the dense cloud a bit further back or deeper (maybe to a less dense area?) and is reflected slightly off track to another pocket?

I know... It's been raining here a lot so I've not been working much. I've been bored.
I looked at the vid and somewhere between 20-30 you can see what appears to be what your describing. I'm not so much stressing the two beams meeting being the only spot that would reflect as I'm suggesting that where they meet would be much brighter if the crystal pocket were there.
Further, the other video I was linked shows this same thing with the ice pocket in line with the lights crossing paths.

handeroo, could this recurring cloud of reflective material be from the falls themselves? Lots of spray is kicked up there and I'm sure plenty of it can be kicked up into the troposphere. Perhaps specific wind patterns can do this. Anyway, If it is possible, I don't see any reason why superdense pockets of ice can't form above the falls area. In fact, I would almost expect it the more I think about it.
Your thoughts?

Believe me, this has all been thought of (except some individual light) and it just doesn't hold water. The bookending lights (as I call them) have been present when the spotlight and the falls illumaination were both off. Also the illumination lights are directed at the falls so any relection would be off of moving water and rocks and would not produce the constant lights that appear in the sky.

I wasn't suggesting that the lights were reflecting off of the water and up into the sky, I was pointing out that there is multiple high powered lights can easily be employed to point straight up. All it takes is one.
I am suggesting that the stationary beam of light IS coming from a terrestrial source because of the obvious solid beam to the bottom left. It appears to dive further back into the pocket of ice and is slightly deflected to the upper right where it strikes another dense area.

I saw them in different positions in the sky. Once they were very far apart.
The lights are NOT coming from the ground. The source, or the focus of the lights come from high up in the sky.

Iwas going to expand on that but had to go. You make a good point and what I was going to say next was that at higher altitudes the lights appear closer together (say 1-1.5 inches across the sky) and at lower altitudes.... when the clouds are lower... they appear MUCH further apart (approx.1-2 ft across) but ALWAYS straight up... like hurt your neck... straight up.
Sound about right?
So... IF (AND I DO MEAN IF) the light are coming from the ground then they would have to be....

located VERY far apart on the ground AND be the same type of light.
IF the source is above the clouds then it could easily be coming from one source and this would explain why the lights are further apart at lower elevations.
They would be shining downwards and outwards in that senario.
I haven't seen lights on the ground that are pointed upward and inward (as they would have to be) to produce that effect.
Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Are you suggesting that the moving beams are not searchlights? I figure that the moving beams being terrestrially based is the one obvious truth here.
As for the stationary beam of light, I explained a possibility above. It is a directly observable phenomenon that light can be reflected off the edge of a pocket of ice crystals, snow or water. Much like the surface of a lake or pool. Especially when they're lower energy photons such as can be observed in the video.

The spotlight (of course terr.based) causes the reflection in the centre of the two outer lights (that remain constant as the spotlight beam circles around the sky) Please see "Niagara Falls UFO Nov15th" @ 1:02min. The middle light is the flash or reflection. what I was exploring was the notion that if the source for the outer lights was from ABOVE the clouds and the reflection was the spotlight beam simply reflecting back after striking...

I already tried to give an explanation but you gleaned right over it without mention. It looks very much like a solid beam of weaker light that acutely reflected off the edge of a dense pocket of ice crystals which is further away from the camera than the flashing crossed beam area. The upper right light is where this reflected light hit another dense pocket but at a more oblique angle which terminated the beam abrubtly.
It's pretty standard physics, really.

@twothlesswonder ....this object(whatever it might be) then that could be a possible explanation for why the outer two lights appear much farther apart at lower altitudes. The point was that I think you have to consider this option since we just can't find lights on the ground that could cause these outer lights to appear so far apart at lower altitudes. Keep in mind that the outer light have been seen when the spotlight is off... so the spotlight can't be the source of all the lights.

I'm giving you rather sound explanations for what you are seeing but you fail to even acknowledge the obvious plausibility of any of them. Instead, you just counterposit as much as you can which places "something" up in the clouds instead of just the clouds themselves. well, there isn't an hour, like 18 minutes for the' full length' i cut some out....to see it with your eyes is so much different than through a camera. this is a metallic object, reflecting light back. we watched it for an hour that night, it does not move...ice crystals will. i could see a flat surface and parallel lines...the best shot is when the camera is zoomed out, some crisp refelctions show at times...there is something there.

There is a consistent flash in the video, about 7-8 seconds apart from each flash. That could mean it's a radio tower or something. Always debunk the rational stuff before moving onto Alien Ships or other UFO's. Thanks for reading! :D

Witnesses have seen object leave at high speed. I watched a bright orb shoot across the entire sky back on Dec 10 consistent dot, no flare no trail. Looked like space station passing in orbit or a satellite. It must have been around orbit, only thing is that it travelled about 10 TIMES FASTER than a satellite or orbiting shuttle.

Yeah, and I've seen high velocity satellites sailing over my house here in Florida too. Saw a really big one last month. We've got hundreds of satellites up there all different sizes and trajectories, speeds and orbital distances. If it's a unblinking white spot traveling in a straight steady line, it's a satellite, be it junk or functional.
With all due respect, I wouldn't put much stock in "eyewitness" accounts unless accompanied by photos and/or videos.

I watched some of them. I certainly don't have an hour to watch every second of every one so if you have specific points in your footage that clearly displays a huge vessel of some sort, then please post the precise times it ir they can be seen.
From what I HAVE seen in your footage, I don't see anything that would suggest this not be a simple phenomenon of reflections from ice crystals. It was frigid and overcast, that says a lot right there.

Do you REALLY think that up in those clouds is a nice balmy 10C? It snows here over Florida all the time, none ever makes its to the ground though. We even get hail here and more often then not, it's hot when it happens. Seriously, those lights beams can traverse miles into the sky and clouds so there's no way you can rule out ice crystals.
I'm sure it was weird looking but you can't just go ruling out natural phenomenon without an understanding of the physical principles involved.

Explain why after this first sighting, it has been seen over 2 dozen times now. Why in the history of Niagara falls has nothing like this ever been seen or reported before? I've done lots of research and there have never been ice crystals anywhere that look like this ( at least not any pictures i've seen) look up "Broken Ice pillars" This theory seems more likely, but there are still many holes!

Do you have a degree as a meteorologist? Saw the picture of ice pillars you refer too. There's only this picture anywhere on the net that I can find. And in order to see these pillars you have to be at 90 degrees straight up, and the light source has to be between you and the object. Yet I've seen it at 40, 60 and 80 plus degrees. I'm not saying it's a UFO, but so far all the theories can be debunked. there's footage from at least 7 of these sightings here on youtube. keep up the debate!

Do you now realize how wrong your claim of 90 degrees was? Do a little thought experiment:
Shine a laser light at a mirror at a 45 degree angle. Now slowly move it around to a 90 degree angle (perpendicular) to the surface of the mirror. Does the laser now hit the mirror and bounce at a 90 degree angle? If it does, you might need glasses, if not, welcome to reality. ;-)

They're promotional search lights! They're designed to light up the night sky with beams of light. They come in several set-ups of 1, 2, 3 and 4searchlights and they rotate around an epicenter to mark the epicenter of the advertised event. These lights are designed to light the night sky up with beams and illuminated clouds. And whattaya know, it was overcast!
Niagra has "hundreds" of rotating searchlights in the night sky? There should only be as many examples as there are searchlights.

BUT, i know what i saw and recorded was a solid metallic like object which was reflecting BRIGHT AS LIGHTNING the spotlights which shine from Clifton Hill. Regardless, you are completely wrong. LIGHT PILLARS are reflected light and they do NOT have to be viewed from a 90% angle. Photons are always reflected at the opposite angle they come in from. Always.
And again, your video isn't light pillars. It's searchlights. Very different phenomenon.

I already asked you to clue me in to a video with the pertinent visual data (even the start and end times would suffice. I refuse to sit through that much jittery, out of focus footage, sorry. From what I have seen though, it looks just like some lit up clouds full of ice crystals. No well defined shapes, no flat surfaces, just beams of rotating searchlights.
So, if it was a metal craft as you so desperately want it to be, why would it fly into the unchanging path of rotating searchlights?!?!

Ice crystals in the sky is not a rare phenomenon whatsoever. They are almost ALWAYS there to some extent or another. There's a whole panoply of variable shapes, types of movement, reflective indexes, densities, etc which can produce MANY visual appearances. The variability of clouds and their appearances ALONE is staggering to behold.
Believe what you like. But don't insist others should based on poor video and a wholly subjective late night visual experience.

@HEWESREDFISHER16 Thats cool. If one of those can cross an entire sky in about 5 seconds, then it was one of those that I saw Dec10. And the object arcs a little in its tragectory maybe from being so high up.

Hi all its Dec28, and I want to tell you that last night was the FOURTH TIME that I witnessed the UFO. Thanks to shivercanada for informing me by phone, I was able to watch with he and his gf for about an hour and then the sky got too thick with misty cloud. You don't find it the least bit odd that the UFO in question here is directly related to spotlights rotating across a misty/cloudy sky? Don't you find it a bit more convincing that ice crystals in the air were being lit up rather than a 5,000 foot long UFO which never set off a single radar alert anywhere?

@twothlesswonder No, because the UFOs have been appearing for months now on random days. More and more frequent now. They have been sighted on many different dates by hundreds of different people. There is a long sharp edge to it when the rotating spotlight clips it. They glow pale icy blue and change position over time but not always.
THey have been real close at least once that we know by shivercanada. more colour glows at closer range. Size is 2km object roughly.

With all due respect, I find a few things wrong here:
1- a secret or alien craft allowing itself to drift within range of highly visible rotating spotlights is quite unbelievable.
2- An obviously misty cloudy night in the northern hemisphere during winter is bound to have highly reflective ice crystals.
3- Clouds have long sharp edges to their bases quite often. Regardless, I've yet to see this sharp edge on tape.
4- A mile or more in length but completely silent, think about it!!!!!
