As a pretty new orcs and goblins player i dont really paint my models but when my uncle who is a pretty big empire player gives me them as gifts he paints them so every thing is painted except my arachnarok spider and my boar chariot and besides the painting orcs and gobs are a pretty strong army

You can buy them at your local hobby store, local Games Workshop, or games-workshop(dot)com

Orcs have fast cavalry as core too...(forest goblin spider riders) And how did you get 2 bolt throwers for 1 rare choice? Or do you get 1 for free?

O+G have both spider riders and wolf riders as fast Core.

You can take 2 bolt throwers as 1 special choice, like all bolt throwers ^_^

it is a dark elf rule you can take two bolt throwers and only use 1 rare spot, you just have to count the points of the second

I play both 40k(orks) and fantasy(dark elves), and fantasy is the superior game I must say.

Just about every player whos played both agrees that fantasy is better.

cauldron of blood isn't rare choice anymore, and i doubt hydra is worth it in a 1k point game, cos those bolt throwers are literally insane, 48" range with 6 S4 bolts, that hits quite hard

IMO it depends on what your vsing, like if your vsing a shooty or slow moving army then go bolt throwers but if your vsing a fast army or one with skirmishes or a few flyers go the hydra so you dont risk losing 200 points being destroyed in second turn OR not being able to shoot because of combat.

if u get a lord on a dragon and a unit of dragon princes with a commander, have that charge a unit together there is nothing that can really stop that in a orc army. Then u just keep running over everything hes got

Great terrain although I think the hills are a bit tall. Not having them tall enough to block LoS sucks even more though.

Woot/Grr. Dark Elvers. I prefer the more kind hearted brethren and their 3 ranking spears as core. RBTs are lovely weapons too.

Side note: I was a little surprised at this "first comment" business. But I realized that there is no way to really get rid of it, so why not have some fun? To balance that, I remove second place and more. I suspect it's mostly young people doing it and mostly older types giving the thumbs down. This is healthy.

I have to say (showing my age) I preferred it when the scale was true 25mm. With Warhammer now (28mm? 30mm?) the bases haven't increased in size, so the mini's look packed like sardines.

They need to increase the base size to scale with the larger figures methinks, and other humbug remarks.

I'm with you on this one, I really don't like how close the models are. It could be solved also by putting the majority 20mm on 25mm, but still same basic problem. I have to say, though, that the models are getting more detailed. More to them.
