by the way the polarity is not the same in all the magnets some have to be positioned inverted so that while ones pull the other ones push causing a cyclic effect (continuous spin of the wheel0 ;)
The layout of the magnets is key, there are these screens on which one can observe the lines of magnetic flux arrayed that would seem key to understanding how to lay out the magnets. On the perondev that he had at that showroom had three magnets together then in the middle of a space sufficient for 2 more magnets he had one more. Course that's the wheel not the rim.

If this or any magnetically fueled motor was shown to be real, then the physical law "conservation of mass/energy" could not be true. Energy would be extracted from the motor without any loss in the motor and this would undoubtedly draw the immediate attention of every physicist in the world. Knowledge of field theory or magnetic fields in particular is also not regarded as a prerequisite for the design of magnetic "free energy" motors,
1) your plastic stator housing is not configured round like it should be all the way around. 2) the angle of the rotor magnets are incorrect. 3) the closeness proximity between stator and rotor magnets are too far apart. 4) the distance between each stator is too far. 5) the distance between each rotor magnet is to far. 6) you are supposed to stagger each plastic stator assembly to cause the imballance that causes motion. You DID NOT build this according to Perendev specs, thats why it fails.

People continue to suggest changes. It is sort of like someone posted a video showing that they can't fly by flapping their arms up and down and people said things like "you need to wear a blue hat" and "take your watch off" missing the fundamental problem all together.

I'm working on a design in which the rotor assembly is a drum with the the magnets in alignment. The stator is a independently adjustable three ring system A adjustable three ring system should allow for stop start and speed adjustments. The two outer stators will have coils built into there edges to generate electricity The rotor drum will have magnets on its edges to energize the stator coils

Perhaps machining each magnet's end one half spherically would create a mechanical timing effect as to make the magnetic opposition stronger in the moment the sphers are at their closest and their strength deminishes as the distance of the spherical half moves apart. I don't like frauds working so from time to time I look for the various sorts of common frauds and warn people about them. If you apply the basic laws of magnetism, you prove that no magnet motor can ever work. It isn't rocket science but to do the general case, you do need to do a little work with dY/dX of an equation.

I suggest you go look up the equations and do a little math or in the case of the Torian machine just take a simpler method of proving that it can't work. For it you don't even need to do any advanced math. Just consider torque vs angle of a simplified version with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. A hint is to also consider the mirror image version. You will quickly see.

from what i have seen of other videos, you are missing magnetic shielding on one side, which they say would cut out the negative force as the magnets pass each other, and also some show an odd number on the outside ring to the inside wheel. so every 3 magnets are lined up as they pass each other.
maybe it will work , maybe not. if i had the money, i would be trying it too, even if it was to make a desktoy. lol
Robert, I think you are on the right track. If I am right the problem is that the perendev design has the neodynium magnets encased in steel sleeves to either shield or focus the magnetic field from each magnet. Side magnetic waves from the magnets will interfere with the motor working so putting each in a steel sleeve should prevent the opposite pole from interfering. Such a sleeve may also serve to focus the effect of the exposed pole. What do you think??

We often see the functioning of diseased minds in these comments. There are many who seem unable to accept that the laws of physics rule out magnet motors. In some cases it does rise to the level of mental disease. There are two such cases that show up from time to time in the various magnet motor comments. I worked on this off and on for years. Used a bike wheel, vertical shaft bolted to plywood base. Hot melt glued the rotor magnets in place. You can quickly gain a lot of knowledge with this approach.
Of course THE problem is getting in the back gate. I believe Perendev, and now others, beat this ... 'cheated the gate' (as one guy put it) by teaming 3,4,5 or more SEPARATE SYSTEMS on a common shaft... Stagge
just to note it seems that your drive shaft magnets are in a straight alignment, they should be one third of each other to creat the off set for motion? ya ,I sapose you may still need shielding for best performance, yet there may still be a be a way through a little more separation of the of the drive mags, hmm
I haven't read all the comments. I hope you understand I am trying to help you. Magnets seem almost magical however there is a simple reason no permanent magnet motor will work. The analogy to a magnetic field is a gravitational field. There is no closed (circular) path a weight can travel that will gain energy. Think of a roller coaster lap after lap with no energy input. Same with magnets. There is no circular path a permanent magnet can travel that will gain energy. It is as simple as that.
i just have a question.i have played around with this a little bit (not to this extent) but what if u had a sheild around the sides of the magnet so that the force was only straight out and there was no side attraction?but magnets still at an angle of course.
@deganator Your idea can't work. To understand why think about what a magnetic shield really is down at the atomic level. All it really is, is a collection of magnetic poles that have some freedom of motion. Since the proof for the case of any collection of poles has already been done, you can straight away see that this idea also can't work.

I know this video is old and there are far more skeptics than thinkers. I just have to ask if you are using equal number of magnates in the stator and the rotor? Seems to me that you have to have a "pusher" magnate or uneven number in the stator so that it would never line up North to North and lock up.

Imagine a machine with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. Say that you want to make a graph of the torque vs angle. You will notice that this machine is its own mirror image. This means that once you know the torque at one angle you also know another where it is minus this amount. This means the average must be zero. When you add another pole you add another (more)
@knowledgemonger (more from) curve that also must average to zero. Each pole you add whether to the rotor or the stator again adds a curve but all the curves you add average to zero. On any machine like this the average torque is exactly zero no matter where you place the poles.

it just occurred to me that these magnetic motors all propose the same idea generated from the gauss rifle/ magnetic "sling" concept, except curving that force generated into a circle. much like that of linear travel in space-time, except that such linear travel would be curved into a circular, orbital shape. Thus the idea of generating free energy from natural magnets isn't entirely false. However it is definite that highly efficient energy can be created, as with magnets.

@tubanton No, the average torque over one full rotation is always exactly zero. No matter where you place the poles (angles of the magnets), the explanation that shows the average torque to be zero always holds.
Start with the case of just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. This simple machine is its own mirror image. What does that say about the curve of torque vs angle? Once you get that, consider what happens when you add another pole.
separation of the rotors, the magnets turn the rotors by sync repulsion and attraction and the 20 degree angle of magnets should make a difference, also use some copper for the nuts and bolts as copper attracts with a lesser force to the magnets. @SupremeKingSovereign Can you fly by flapping your arms up and down? Some things really are impossible. Changing the color hat you wear while flapping your arms won't help.
Unfortunately, the person in the video got fooled into trying to do something more impossible than flying by flapping your arms up and down. If the gravity was way lower or you could flap your arms very fast you could make lift enough to get off the ground. A magnet motor has no such change in constants to make it work

@knowledgemonger I'm briefly aware of 2nd law of thermodynamics (aka, impossible to create a perpetual motor law), but I just can't imagine how two magnets pushing against each other couldn't possibly not rotate. I know, if you study the magnetic wave you can prove it's impossible... but that's to say that we already know everything, and nothing new is possible... just like when people believed that the world was flat. Unlike other cases, it returns to its starting point in just one rotation and you only need to think in 2 dimensions. It is just a matter of thinking about the torque vs angle and really getting your head around that topic. Once you do it, it will be like people suggesting that you can fly by flapping your arms up and down. It doesn't matter what color hat you wear.
a couple of things your missing, the three wheels on the inside with the magnets have to be 20deg rotated from each other, and you need to shield your magnets so when the outside magnet reaches the opposite polarity of the inside magnet it won't want to pull it back in the opposite direction. There are other things you are missing. Maybe you need to do a little more research. good start though.

@hugejoint The first thing wrong in what you said is "HHO" there really is no such thing. This is a case of people fooling themselves. What they are really making is a combination of H2, O2 and water vapor. You are not running an engine on water. You are simply making an engine run on H2. There is a large net loss of energy as heat in the process.

Solar and wind and temperature gradients and the like provide a source. Magnets only provide a source for a trivial amount of energy before you need to either put the energy back or buy more magnets.

you need to grind the magnets on both sides so they can be within a millimeter of each other. and if the electrons have to go to the opposite side of the magnet, then you may want to grind the other side as well. so when you look at the side of magnet, it will look more like a rhombus or parallelogram instead of a rectangle.
i think the problem is the shape of the magnet. you can think of magnets as being a collection of toobs for electrons that shoot out one side and loop back to the other side. your current setup is like trying to slide two stair cases across each. also the stronger the magnet, the shorter the path is for the electrons looping back around. so while neo magnets are much stronger at attraction, they dont have a very big magnetic field. which means you need to get them closer together by grinding the

If this or any magnetically fueled motor was shown to be real, then the physical law "conservation of mass/energy" could not be true. Energy would be extracted from the motor without any loss in the motor and this would undoubtedly draw the immediate attention of every physicist in the world. 1) your plastic stator housing is not configured round like it should be all the way around. 2) the angle of the rotor magnets are incorrect. 3) the closeness proximity between stator and rotor magnets are too far apart. 4) the distance between each stator is too far. 5) the distance between each rotor magnet is to far. 6) you are supposed to stagger each plastic stator assembly to cause the imballance that causes motion. You DID NOT build this according to Perendev specs, thats why it fails.

If you apply the basic laws of magnetism, you prove that no magnet motor can ever work. It isn't rocket science but to do the general case, you do need to do a little work with dY/dX of an equation.
Anyone who wants to prove for themselves can look up the equations for energy and force on a pole and see.

I suggest you go look up the equations and do a little math or in the case of the Torian machine just take a simpler method of proving that it can't work. For it you don't even need to do any advanced math. Just consider torque vs angle of a simplified version with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. A hint is to also consider the mirror image version. You will quickly see.

from what i have seen of other videos, you are missing magnetic shielding on one side, which they say would cut out the negative force as the magnets pass each other, and also some show an odd number on the outside ring to the inside wheel. so every 3 magnets are lined up as they pass each other.

Robert, I think you are on the right track. If I am right the problem is that the perendev design has the neodynium magnets encased in steel sleeves to either shield or focus the magnetic field from each magnet. Side magnetic waves from the magnets will interfere with the motor working so putting each in a steel sleeve should prevent the opposite pole from interfering. Such a sleeve may also serve to focus the effect of the exposed pole. What do you think??

I love your frank open approach, both of what you're building and video seeking help.
I worked on this off and on for years. Used a bike wheel, vertical shaft bolted to plywood base. Hot melt glued the rotor magnets in place. You can quickly gain a lot of knowledge with this approach.
Of course THE problem is getting in the back gate. I believe Perendev, and now others, beat this ... 'cheated the gate' (as one guy put it) by teaming 3,4,5 or more SEPARATE SYSTEMS on a common shaft... Stagge

just to note it seems that your drive shaft magnets are in a straight alignment, they should be one third of each other to creat the off set for motion? ya ,I sapose you may still need shielding for best performance, yet there may still be a be a way through a little more separation of the of the drive mags, hmm

I haven't read all the comments. I hope you understand I am trying to help you. Magnets seem almost magical however there is a simple reason no permanent magnet motor will work. The analogy to a magnetic field is a gravitational field. There is no closed (circular) path a weight can travel that will gain energy. Think of a roller coaster lap after lap with no energy input. Same with magnets. There is no circular path a permanent magnet can travel that will gain energy. It is as simple as that.

i just have a question.i have played around with this a little bit (not to this extent) but what if u had a sheild around the sides of the magnet so that the force was only straight out and there was no side attraction?but magnets still at an angle of course.

@deganator Your idea can't work. To understand why think about what a magnetic shield really is down at the atomic level. All it really is, is a collection of magnetic poles that have some freedom of motion. Since the proof for the case of any collection of poles has already been done, you can straight away see that this idea also can't work.

I know this video is old and there are far more skeptics than thinkers. I just have to ask if you are using equal number of magnates in the stator and the rotor? Seems to me that you have to have a "pusher" magnate or uneven number in the stator so that it would never line up North to North and lock up.

Imagine a machine with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. Say that you want to make a graph of the torque vs angle. You will notice that this machine is its own mirror image. This means that once you know the torque at one angle you also know another where it is minus this amount. This means the average must be zero. When you add another pole you add another (more)

@knowledgemonger (more from) curve that also must average to zero. Each pole you add whether to the rotor or the stator again adds a curve but all the curves you add average to zero. On any machine like this the average torque is exactly zero no matter where you place the poles.
I believe that the maker of this now understands this point. It is a shame he didn't earlier. Who knows what useful thing he may have made with his talents.

The Perendev machine was a prop for a fraud. A guy by the name of Mr. Brady went to jail for this fraud. Unfortunately some people believed that the machine really worked and did not know that it was a fraud. The maker of this machine is one of those. He has mechanical skills but unfortunately did not know enough physics to see that the machine was just not possible. As a result, he sadly wasted a bunch of time and money. He reported that it doesn't work. Good for him.

it just occurred to me that these magnetic motors all propose the same idea generated from the gauss rifle/ magnetic "sling" concept, except curving that force generated into a circle. much like that of linear travel in space-time, except that such linear travel would be curved into a circular, orbital shape. Thus the idea of generating free energy from natural magnets isn't entirely false. However it is definite that highly efficient energy can be created, as with magnets.

@madamerotten As far as I know, the person in the video doesn't really qualify as either a fool or a con artist, at least not today. I think that even he would agree that in the past, he could have been listed under "fools" because he got fooled. He wasted his obvious mechanical skills on an idea that he thought at the time could have worked. Today I believe he knows better and is now applying his skill to other areas.
This is how the fake machines have cost us all more than just money.

magnetism can be observed. it is a magnetic force if not the auroras could not be observed near the 0 degrees poles of Terra. for beginners you can see the fields with a paper over a magnet then spread fe fillings on top and the fields align over the paper. also the trick sis to determine the north and south of a magnet; it can be easily down with a compass. good luck; the orientation of the norths and souths is what will cause sync movement by repel and attract. its 5th grade stuff. good luck

@tubanton No, the average torque over one full rotation is always exactly zero. No matter where you place the poles (angles of the magnets), the explanation that shows the average torque to be zero always holds.
Start with the case of just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. This simple machine is its own mirror image. What does that say about the curve of torque vs angle? Once you get that, consider what happens when you add another pole.

separation of the rotors, the magnets turn the rotors by sync repulsion and attraction and the 20 degree angle of magnets should make a difference, also use some copper for the nuts and bolts as copper attracts with a lesser force to the magnets. Once you get it going, your challenge is to attaach a belt to a free wheel to produce free energy, i wish u luck

Unfortunately with the rather poor state of science education these days, nobody around him explained to him why it could never work. It is far from rocket science to see why it can't. Give it a try and see if you can come up with the reasoning. Hint: Imagine you are calculating the torque.

Unfortunately, the person in the video got fooled into trying to do something more impossible than flying by flapping your arms up and down. If the gravity was way lower or you could flap your arms very fast you could make lift enough to get off the ground. A magnet motor has no such change in constants to make it work

If you want to understand why no such machine can ever work, start off with a much simpler case with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. Imagine that you want to plot the torque vs angle of this simple machine. Notice that it is its own mirror image.

@knowledgemonger I'm briefly aware of 2nd law of thermodynamics (aka, impossible to create a perpetual motor law), but I just can't imagine how two magnets pushing against each other couldn't possibly not rotate. I know, if you study the magnetic wave you can prove it's impossible... but that's to say that we already know everything, and nothing new is possible... just like when people believed that the world was flat. Not trying to offend you... just being optimistic.

@mrhozer You don't need a lot of physics to understand why the machine in this case won't work. Unlike other cases, it returns to its starting point in just one rotation and you only need to think in 2 dimensions. It is just a matter of thinking about the torque vs angle and really getting your head around that topic. Once you do it, it will be like people suggesting that you can fly by flapping your arms up and down. It doesn't matter what color hat you wear.

a couple of things your missing, the three wheels on the inside with the magnets have to be 20deg rotated from each other, and you need to shield your magnets so when the outside magnet reaches the opposite polarity of the inside magnet it won't want to pull it back in the opposite direction. There are other things you are missing. Maybe you need to do a little more research. good start though.

No machine such as this can work. No combination of motions of magnetic poles can ever create energy. The general case already been proved. This means that minor changes like adjusting the angles won't help.
If someone tried to fly by flapping their arms, would you suggest they wear a green hat and try again?

for all you good scientists. do you believe that HHO engine is working? can we run engine for nothing more then water? ofcourse we can, but we cant use it in global scale-why? money. simply as that. same problem is with magnet motor. its propably possible to make it work, but why goverments would spend money and time to rip themself off? if they will give us technology how to be independent on their payed energy, what will be the result? you dont have to be economist to know answer ;)

@hugejoint The first thing wrong in what you said is "HHO" there really is no such thing. This is a case of people fooling themselves. What they are really making is a combination of H2, O2 and water vapor. You are not running an engine on water. You are simply making an engine run on H2. There is a large net loss of energy as heat in the process.

@hugejoint We know enough about physics to have basic laws to prove this is impossible: 1. We lose energy when it changes forms. 2. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Those two proven laws of physics proves that you cannot get more energy out of a device than you put in, and a circular device using magnets is not capable of perpetual or sustained motion without additional energy added into the equation at some point.

@junkyjuice21 You need to think about where the energy could come from. Energy is never created so there must be a source. This is the place where nearly every energy design run into trouble. Solar and wind and temperature gradients and the like provide a source. Magnets only provide a source for a trivial amount of energy before you need to either put the energy back or buy more magnets.

you need to grind the magnets on both sides so they can be within a millimeter of each other. and if the electrons have to go to the opposite side of the magnet, then you may want to grind the other side as well. so when you look at the side of magnet, it will look more like a rhombus or parallelogram instead of a rectangle.

i think the problem is the shape of the magnet. you can think of magnets as being a collection of toobs for electrons that shoot out one side and loop back to the other side. your current setup is like trying to slide two stair cases across each. also the stronger the magnet, the shorter the path is for the electrons looping back around. so while neo magnets are much stronger at attraction, they dont have a very big magnetic field. which means you need to get them closer together by grinding the

No combination of the motions of magnetic poles can create energy. This includes the magnetic dipoles in shielding materials. The whole idea is just a blind alley.
