Oh my gosh! PLEASE tell me this is what theyre building in fantasy land in DisneyWorld Orlando, because even though its not a classic (yet) It WILL be my favorite. I love it all ready and i can't even read the words of the story :P

Hey I really like this version of Storybook Land! The California one doesn't have Chernabog or Peter and the Wolf or the Sword in the Stone.

It pains me to hear the little kid asking "What's this?" to all the stories. When I was his age, I knew every one of them, even Wizard of Oz!

So do your abilities to read and follow directions, I guess -- in the clip's description and numerous times throughout the comments, I've said that the video was shot in HD, so if you're not watching using one of the HD settings (720p or better) the audio will be choppy. Change from the default 360p, and things should be much improved.

You have to view the clip in an HD setting; if you're watching it in 360p, the audio gets choppy and the video slows down tremendously. Try moving it to 720p or better, and that should clear things up.

Taking french for four years, I couldn't figure out why one of the storybooks said "Belle et la Bête"... Because it was actually Beauty and the beast... then I couldn't figure out that this was in the Paris disneyland... Silly me-3

I don't know why Disney Paris gets such a bad rep, from what I saw here at least this ride is on par with Disneyland.

I think it's an example of old perceptions never really going away. I was at Disneyland Paris twice in 2008, and I'd say that I prefer their versions of some classic rides to the ones that I've grown up on at Walt Disney World (Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Rockin' Rollercoaster to name a few). Plus, they have unique rides which are a lot of fun; my wife LOVED Crush's Coaster, which was unexpectedly awesome! It's not perfect (the US parks are better) but it's a lot of fun.

Again (and I'll make a note of it in the video's description): the video was shot in HD, so if you watch it at one of the lower resolutions like 360p (which is the default), then the audio will be terrible. If you watch it at 720p or higher, then the problem should be corrected. I hope that helps!

It could be tied into one of two things, I think:

1) Disney's partnership with MGM from the old Disney/MGM Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios) days -- MGM released the original film, and the park's Great Movie Ride has a large section devoted to the movie;

2) Disney released the sequel "Return to Oz" back in 1985, so there's some tie-in to the characters (even though the Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man weren't in the movie all that much, from what I remember).

When the boat stops and gets stuck in OZ, you hear music that's similar to MainStreetElectircalParade Music! The Storybookland Cannal Boat Ride in Disneyland Paris is awesome! I'm sad however that this video is stuck at 5:16 and doesn't go past it at all! Still this is an awesome video!

Thanks for the kind words! Two things:

1) DEFINITELY music from the Main Street Electrical Parade! Before I rode the Story Book Canal ride at DLP, it had been years since I saw the parade and heard the music, so it was a nice bit of nostalgia;

2) The video stops at 5:16 because that's the end -- because of the "glitches" with this video, the site sometimes thinks it's a 10+ minute clip, but it's really only a little over 5 minutes in length. You saw it all, lol!

It's shot in HD; if you're watching it at 360p resolution (the default setting), the sound is going to be terrible. I'd suggest adjusting the setting to 720p, which should help get rid of the issue with the audio.

Try adjusting the resolution from 360p (or whatever the default setting is) to 720p or above -- that should improve things. The video was shot on an HD camera, so watching it on one of the lower settings can cause problems (video seems to be running slower than it should be, audio "stutters", etc.)

I may be biased, as a Storyteller for Storybookland in California, but as amazing as the scenes are I feel like the attraction is missing something without a spiel. That being said, the scenes are really well done.

It's in Fantasyland, near the back of the park; off the top of my head, it's near the entrance to the Casey, Jr Train Ride (you can actually see the train pass by in the video, during the Fantasia/Night on Bald Mountain scene) and the Alice in Wonderland-themed maze).
