  • they looked like all the older guys in my neighborhood on the west side of columbus ohio late 70s early 80s

  • Great tune from the Trems. Lovely fuzz solo from Ricky West. Reached no 2 in the charts!

  • not heard this for a LONG time

  • Nice video, good pop song by a good pop group, lot's of great memories, thank-you.

  • Wish I had a time machine!

  • Bass player! Wow!

  • @ecksact It's Len 'Chip' Hawkes father of Chesney Hawkes.

  • I used to sing this in my head while riding my first motorbike.Red Honda 50.What power ! For a 16 year old

  • geniale musik

  • Excellent! Tony Blackburn played it on 'Pick of the Pops' (BBC Radio 2) last weekend.

  • very great kult band

  • He he, trying to look grown up (and appeal to grown ups) by growing face fuzz.......

  • fuck im looking for vinyl:))))

  • The best harmony users apart from the Hollies. Great track

  • This excellent number reached number 2 in the UK charts in November 1969! Not a bad effort given the rather good competition it had at the time. Love the Union Jack bags in the video - all part of the I'm backing Britain campaign that was around at the time. Makes the vid a nice little period piece.

  • 8 people will NEVER be number 1

  • Chip Hawkes is Chesney Hawks's dad

  • Great track. The flip side is fantastic. Its called "Instant Whip"...great !!

  • The guitarist with the thicker mustache looks like Brad Delp (singer of Boston).

  • the only thing we can do is to tell you thank you for posting these precious clips.

  • I like the song and most of the arrangement but that jazzy trumpet and twangy guitar at 0:33 and 1:34 fit in like gravy on ice cream. The latter reminds me of the theme from "The Rockford Files". I guess they were trying anything to break from their musical past at this point.

  • they are all good singers

  • Wooo I love this number

  • Love it!Real Beatles sound....great......

  • Grab the audio from this song at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • This song was no.19 in the german year-end-charts in 1970 #the #tremeloes

  • Guitaruist on far left looks so much like Tommy Evans of Badfinger.

  • i think i born in a wrong decade.... i should have lived in those days!!!!

  • Forgotten about this one. Then here it is again more than forty years later and I know all the words!

  • Haven't heard this for decades, love it, very Lennonesque. Thanks for posting.

  • VIDEO SHOT TRAFALGAR SQUARE IN LONDON ENGLAND

  • This band were cool without Brian Poole!

  • i know i,m giving my age away BUT , thats when music was music,,,,,,,,, fantastic

  • Barry Mason and Les Reed have made this beautifull song "Turn Around"for Rene Laine it brings back the good old time

  • this has to be the best, by far, that this band ever recorded; I used to own the Epic single when I collected vinyl; I sold my collection about 5-6 yrs. ago, because I no longer had a turntable. Now i can enjoy all of my favorites again, ty for your post and everyone elses.

  • This is brilliant!! Tongue in cheek cover of the Beatles. Thanks very much for sharing, brings back some great memories.

  • very beatlesque...great!

  • 1969 beatle kinda song. Brilliant.

  • reminds me of the moody blues

  • ..when I was young ... for my venus in bluejeans :-)

  • Great footage of a cool song I never heard until now. I wouldn't be surprised if Paul Simon heard this song and made "Cecelia" out of it...I've loved The Tremeloes "World Explosion" album since I first heard it as well.

  • Wow, he sounds like John Lennon.

  • Was related to Allan.. Really miss him. Dave inspired me to play the drums. Pretty much brought up with the lads. What a good band!

  • Those who say the Beatles didn't have a dramatic impact on rock music, LISTEN TO THIS...

  • Nice to see the britains in the background are really into the music; atleast the music is good.

  • Great memroes of great times

  • What should i say...

flashbacks and memories...i was no 1 then!

Really love that girl, a Venus in bluejeans!

  • See my video Steve01274 The Tremeloes .. "Here Comes My Baby 89"

  • Great song pity the audience could`nt look more enthusiastic.

  • THese boys aren't miked up! the audience is not hearing what you are hearing. It's just a telly stunt

  • realy like it , briliant.

  • brilliant vocal, perfect pop single of 69.

  • Great band but where's Brian?

  • brian poole was at this time already not at the tremeloes

  • @jollywigs

He left in 1966 to persue a solo

    jp

  • sounds like ak beatles song

  • The Trems were on a creative wave from 1969 onwards, writing & producing their A's & B's , plus the excellent album "MASTER" (1970).

  • do you notice the good old days ? 1 asian in the background.oh bring back THE GOOD OLD DAYS

  • nig nog i think not asian .LOL

  • Rascist twat...

  • Absolutely

  • @happyhun1690

You think Europeans are somehow better than Asians ? I believe they fought wars over ideas like that.

  • Very good composition and arrangement. Looks like Ricky West seemed a bit uncomfortable with the crowd and location for the vid.

  • I agree they did sound like the hollies. They were great as well

  • I loved all the tremeloes records

  • What a mix , muted trumpets, distorted guitar solo and a country guitar style chorus.

They were obviously trying to do something different.

I liked it then I like it now.

One of the lesser known singles.

  • The first record I ever bought.

  • The Hollies , The tremeloes and The Moody Blues had the best vocals harmonies of those days

  • i totally agree, i think the hollies had the edge tho. so great

  • Nice video........It's a shame most of your others are gone....video unavailable, video unavailable, video unavailable.......Hasn't Utube been great since google bought it.

  • It looks like it was a cold, damp and grey day in London when this vid was recorded!

  • nice Fender Jaguar

  • Ha ,bring back so many memories of the time when I was 11 ...boom shit boom shit

  • Hi Dave and Rick.

Nice to say Hello to you at the

    Copenhagen airport last week.

    Rock On !!

  • RIP Alan Blakely.

  • this song rocks! sound a little like the beatles<3 still awesome

  • интересное видео, довольно милое, без претензий, неплохая радуга цвета,

  • did the Beatles write this song for them?

  • No,it is an original Tremeloes song.

Bur you are right,it´s very Beatleish

  • Loved this song as a kid and still have my 45 rpm of it.

My sister used to swear that in the parts where the horn plays, in the background they are singing "boom, shitty, boom, shitty." Listening to it here, I think she may have been right.

  • I thought it was 'oh shit' lol!!

  • WestLondonDroog

LOL too. And for nearly 40 years I thought the words were 'bull shit' until I met Dave Munden (drummer) last year.

They called their old manager 'Woolshy' and just slung it in because it sounded good, (though most of the time they actually DID sing it as 'bullshit'.

    Typical band lads.

    ROFL

  • Very nice song by Tremeloes

  • First record I bought way back in '69. I thought they were singing 'oh shit' in backing vocals. Lol.

  • Where's Brian Poole?

    Always rubbish without him!

  • bollocks, and you know it!!!!

  • the crowd looks like they could just as well be watching a lynching lol

  • oh yes please! lets all use youtube as online hooker central :D

  • Just loved the British pop scene of the '60s & early '70s. I'm so glad this kind of music is not forgotten and is still being played today. Love this song and the Tremeloes.

  • Bravo.

  • i agree connie,brilliant song..pete

  • Great song by Tremeloes

  • I was 12 when this came out.

yet when I played this today, I remembered all the words, gosh I wish I could remember other things as well as I do this song, what a waste of a good Education

  • das waren zeiten,bravo hitparade 1970.tremeloes otto sieger.best times early 70s

  • great performance and the crowd going wild

  • This was written by Alan Blakley / Len "Chip" Hawkes - saw Chip Hawkes him perform this in Swindon last night! Unfortunately Alan is no longer with us. Passed away abot 12 years ago.

    Great track.

  • really great song ,great band , it,s just a shame that local and national radio station,s dont play this and hundreds more like it that seem to be forgot!?

  • oh..to be one of that crowd!

    *daydreams*

    :] xx

  • my dad still has his tan buckskin jacket like the drummer has.

  • love the song

  • God. How i hate you tube. Everything here says 'sorry this vid is no longer available'. I aint got all day. Why doesn't someone fix this? C'mon it's rubbish!

  • refresh the page. it just happens, but all you have to do is refresh the page you're on.

    This works ^^

  • You hate youtube, well fuck off then !

  • back again well twice in 10 mins lol

  • Great song, have the single or ep stored somewhere. Forgive my ignorance, but who is Walshie?

  • I drove my parents mad playing this over and over lol

  • Is this a Lennon-McCartney composition?

  • Can anyone help me out? I know I'm not dreaming but I can't find a 'certain' 60's song anywhere. Don't know who sang it either which doesn't help. Sample of fragmentd lyrics:- "...I'll get by somehow, ...You know I was, so much (too much?) in love with you, yeah, do what you want to do, cos now, I've found, I've changed my mind."

    It's driving me nuts.

  • Anyone remember dancing to this? We used to sit on the floor doing some strange stuff with our shoulders and heads.

  • Rick Westwood does a fantastic guitar run just as it comes up to the chorus. He is a very talented guitarist...one of the best.

  • god, i wish i was alive back then!

it was soooooo much better than today

great song, one of my fave bands :)

  • Fab...5 stars

  • Wow. Total Beatles rip-off.

  • Excellent track from an highly under-rated, great band. These boys used to have a constant residency at Top of the Pops in the late sixties, early seventies along with The Hollies. RIP Alan Blakley.... You were Great.... Miss you mate....

  • sounds very beatles esque

  • Thank you U Tube for all the lovely memories. I was a 15 year old teenager. Used to play my 45s on an old Dansette record player. The quality has vastly improved nowadays

  • Oh god, life was sooooo easy and relaxed then - even being in my late teens at this point. Look at this country today... Oh I'd rather not. At least there is one consolation You Tube!

  • amen baby

  • amen baby amen

  • Another lost art....singing!

  • Blimey I haven't heard this since Jimmy Saville replayed old top 10's on Radio 1. Reached no 2 and all yet you just never hear it now. Good track.

  • That is a fantastic guitar run that Rick does just before the chorus ....superb !!

  • I thought they were average, but this song is great.

  • one of the best songs ive ever heard..and the 60s
