Samsung NV24HD Unboxing

This camera is not great at night shots apparently.. would like to know if it is better at long exposures...anyone?

Hi billyposter! I have one NV24HD. If you use a tripod with low ISO and long exposure times the quality of a night shot is acceptable. If you try it with ISO 3200 the grain and noise are umbearable, worst than a lower range Panasonic Lumix like DMC-LZ8 wich I also own. I made a test with these two cameras, with different ISO, using my city landscape at evening as subject. I was quite disapointed.

I know why the screen flicker it is because of the zoom in ring is loose. If you would flick the zoom in ring the screen would flicker. It sucks the sound mutes when you zoom in. And fully charge battery the max video recorded time at the lowest resolution at 30fps would range from 45-60 min. The user manual said roughly 90 min.

Since I'm from Canada and not many store has them. One store Henry's had them but they were all sold out. The only solution was purchase it online. It was cheaper and took 5 days to get it.

Are there Black Friday for Canada?

Holy buddha nam mo a zi dao phat. I want to ask you. When you shake your camera or use it in low light, does the screen flicker? Since I shoved my camera in a tight pants pocket it's been doing that ever since. I would say Canon is still better

yeah, I bought it at Fry's Electronics store on Black Friday. I believe there were less than 50 in the whole store... so I had to get it fast and I mean FAST!

I suppose so. I saw the deal on an advertisement and it just so happened that my friends were camping out there so I decided to join them. Saving around 75% on a camera is pretty good reason to wait in line I think.
