  • *kool aerodynamic car*

  • It's downforce, smartasses!!

  • lol the Zonda isn't actually very aerodynamic though :P

  • It's not actully very aerodynamic though

  • This looks like a video of the sportauto Fonda F supertest..sportauto put every car they have in their supertest into a windtunnel to see the true about claimed cd and downforce. They test each car at 200km/h (125mph), the Zonda F reached a cd 0.36 and a airdragindex of 0.74 which isn´t good, the car creates only slightly downforce at 200km/h (26kg)

  • omfg i cant download this damned video!!!

i need it for 2moro for my presentation

  • I am also having trouble downloading it :-(

  • what is that white gas ?

  • Guess ...

  • just smoke so they can visually see the boundary layer & the free flow layer.

  • fart

  • air

  • what speed were they simulating in that test?! from the looks of it, 30mph? it could just be the frame limitation of the camera, or the video format.... idk.... but it doesn't appear to be putting much windspeed on it.....

  • wow, that's a damn good splitter

  • it is not necessary the moving floor because any turbulence generated between the floor and the wind is minimal due to the laminar layer is very thin between them at that speed

  • unfortunately no one has noticed that without a moving floor the above results are meaningless - more a marketing spin than proper aero testing.

  • Wow that aerodynamic should give it a fine high speed performance. But doesnt that last fluid cools down the engine to much?

  • The splitter at the front works very uniformly and efficiently! It practically removes all of the air from the front and uses it to it's advantage... Disappointed to see the drag behind the rear windscreen though...

  • no wonder it's fast

  • it looks incredible but the shape of the front ruines the aerodymanics

  • I think u know nothing about aerodynamics, do u??

  • wow, has does the flow mamnage to stay attached over the roof? i did not expect this?!?! usually the flow would separate and you would see vorticies forming behind the cabin area.... cool stuff.

  • the wind is so strong that it pushes against the car and the angle of the fans keep it pushed down

  • Well,

The speed of the wind creates a vacuum behind the cabin

The vacuum sucks the wind against the car, making it look like the wind is attached to the car.

The only wind is in front of the car.

This is how an airplane gets lift as well, as the speed of the air over the wing creates a low pressure zone, and is pushed upward by the higher pressure underneath the wing. This is why fast cars have spoilers, to counteract the lift created by their cabins.

    BOOKALASHA

  • i thought the airplane lift theory was corrected. its every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Air plane lift is by forcing the air down thus pushing the airplane up. Its not low/high pressure that people always thought or was taught in class.

  • lol what?

  • lol those four or five ginourmous smoke trails are you telling very little about the actual aerodynamics of the car. what you see here is more done for marketing than anything else.

  • gud one

  • are you suggesting that in the abscence of the the other winds, the penultimate (6th not 7th) wind would indeed lift the vehicle from its hood which would act as scoop for the wind?

  • i said down force not air tunneling

  • great video, i have been studding windtunnel simulation a bit, but the real think looks pretty cool.

  • Wow. Just got an e-mail for a reply I don't even remember making. Haha, look at all these replies claiming I'm a 13 year old kid!

Apparently none of you have a sense of humour. You all have my pity.

  • HAHAHAHA NOOOOOOOBS!

  • 13 year olds should be banned from posting comments..but then again this is YOUtube...the place for rambling idiots...

  • So what are you doing on youtube then?

  • hAHA, YOU SO FUNNY! replying to an ancient post? btw, i frequent IdiotTube for the entertainment value...it's funny as hell reading the arguments that are posted...mostly moronic, but incredibly funny! like your post!

  • Are you on crack, thats probably one of the best lmao, idiot

  • Why are the flaiming comments always made in such a retarded fashion?

Here's how you should've posted it:

"Are you on crack? That's probably one of the best aerodynamic cars. I'm laughing my ass off because I'm an idiot."

Sorry for the 5 month late post, but I've only just been made aware of all this. By the way, sarcasm is when people say the opposite of what they mean for comic effect.

  • Sir. If this was for marks at school, I would've done punctuation and shit. But its not. So that's why I dont do it.

  • it has a very good aerodynamic but the rear spoiler is to smal so the rear will spung when u drive it serieusly ^^.

  • ^^ LOL HAHA

  • are you joking?

  • Sure am.

  • that was a delay lol

  • Mmmmm. Not terribly aerodynamic, is it?

  • what! dude its about as aerodynamic as a peice of paper sideways

  • Nice use of punctuation and grammar there.

That's sarcasm, by the way. You obviously can't detect it.

  • i know what he/she said i was jokin! you sound like a teacher... are you?

  • Well dude u kinda "detect" sarcasm by the sound of some ones voice...Not by reading their words.

That's a burn, by the way. Your obviously a retard.

  • And you can tell this by looking at some smoke?

  • i dont know !
