My strategy for this boss was to get Silver to grab some barrels [which he almost always does when there are barrels in between you and him], and while he's aiming, do a sliding attack. As you can probably tell, that took a while. :P

I still learned to hate the phrase "It's no use!" though.

adultgohan01, I wouldn't be embarrassed about buying this game because of age, I'd be embarrassed because of the reviews it has gotten and the even harsher fan reaction. There are infinitely more people hating the game instead of liking it. Just look at all the glitches and screw ups. I'm sure it's underappreciated, but not by much.

I think u can hit Silver if u punch him, that happened once. Theres also a glitch, if u hit him with chaos spear just right before he grabs u, he gets hit and u get thrown back without him charging. If u do this while he grabs u and ur midair, u either go beyond the game boundaries or fly over the arena

Ther's a gltch in multiplayer that makes Sonic hyper and heavy after getting thrown to his doom by Silver. You need the red gem though

It doesn't work for the ps3 version though. What actually happens is, when Sonic dies with the red gem active, the game doubles his speed, since the red gem halves the speed of everything else, and is restored to normal, although Sonic already is normal. It is "fixed" for the ps3 version though, so no glitch.

Yes. Enemies and characters are different. Do you know how easy it would be to defeat Silver if he had to paralyze you first? Very easy. Same for the reason why you have to paralyze enemies first. If you could just grab enemies without paralyzing them first, how easy would Silver's levels be? Way too easy. Same for two player racing, if Silver couldn't grab you, how would he be able to win in a race? He wouldn't, unless the other player sucks.

Lol, yeah that's a really good point. Sega had to balance the odds. You know your sonic stuff lol. Since silver doesn't have speed, he's gotta hold the other players back in multiplayer. I think that disable-first rule makes silver the hardest to play with. And also b/c you have to WAIT in order to recharge his meter after hovering. Grrr...that just got me killed right now, b/c I'm still trying to get an S at Flame Core Hard mode.

You're using the wrong strategy. Instead of waiting for him to jump, just hit him at the beginning, go BEHIND the train (opposite to where Silver is), and just do air kicks behind the defensive walls of the train. This should get you a much lower (and easier to get) time.
