20 yrs out of date? wtf? ok...look at the F16...thats 'old' in coming up to 30 odd years of service, and its still viable as a kick arse fighter jet. I would think the Eurofighter has many years of service ahead of it. An expensive plane it sure is, but in time it will give plenty of payback.
We got these stationed where I live, its a sight to behold watching them fly...some take offs are full afterburner...they can lift off and stand the thing on its tail, climb rate is insanely fast:)
@sheffieldgeek immediate takeoff refers to not sitting on the runway mucking around, but rather starting the takeoff roll without delay. Usually this is due to another aircraft on final approach to land.
British EuroFighter pilots take off at a vertical angle which is much more exciting for those observing it. German pilots are boring and fly the EuroFighter like it's a passenger plane!
@P1mpMyBr1de Nope, german Airforce however know what to do in a combat situation, and arent trained to be brutal ass kicking show offs. Oh, sorry, I forgot, get that brutual and ass kicking away and its quite alright.
@impalax327 ' 20 years out of date' ... oh ok that's why it's classed as the most technically and aeronautically advanced fighter plane currently flying?
At l:25 the tower says: "...climb to flight level 70 " (700 would be really accurate; three figures). Hey, that's 70,000 feet! Was that transmission for the Euroflighter? I'm sure the controller meant "flight level 7 thousand".
alright guys calm down lets settle this shall we... the euro fighter was designed and developed from the British Aerospace EAP which means it was the UK who did the majority of the design however the other contributing nations all made significant contributions to the finished aircraft. also the french pulled out later on in the development as they needed a carrier based aircraft and so Rafael aircraft split from the eurofighter programme
And the EAP was mainly build on the Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm TKF90 design to verify if such a plane was able to perform as expected. It did, even more than that so the program was finally launched. Saying that the UK did the majority of the design work is simply not true, but without BAe building the EAP pretty much on their own risk, the EF wouldn't be reality.
The title of the video should be something like this: " A Eurofighter Typhoon takes off immediately after a long and a taxing taxi" Cheers to the Luftwaffe nevertheless!
if you take a look at tthe plane in this video why the hell is there a grman airforce sign on the side then if they dont use it annd help design and build it?.
for once just swallow your pride and accept that this is the Eurofighter- multicultural design
@LOUISVART It's made majority by the British, Look it up, The british and the germans but still britain done most, BAE (British aero-space) is the manufacturer.
I'm looking at the pilot waving and thinking what a prick, then I realise it is just me filled with jealousy as he has the best job in the world flying the best plane in the world!

The EF was a huge waste of taxpayer money, most of which went on bribes and kickback's. It was 20 years out of date before it ever left the ground.

do you actuallyy know how big and complicated the airframe is?
LOUISVART 3 months ago
@TheARMAProductions
the french were worrking on the rafal program at the same time as the ef2000
and pulled out because of funding
they contributed to the designs as equally as any other country according to expertees and knowwlege of their job
