@VictimOfChagnes if you didnt know, and are talking about this song directly, then this song was made for guitar hero 6, which has a story. so dave made it to be like the story, because he was asked to make a song for it. this was played for the ending song. but his lyrics in general aren't getting worse, as for his singing, well in all honesty to say that james hetfield sucks and nothing about daves singing is very hyporcritical

Metallica has had some pretty amazing and complete albums. They just so happened to seemingly use all their best songs at once. And they have hit the sell-out point. Their 1st albums were near perfect, but I will say Megadeth is the most consistent and better in my eyes. Metallica is just a name riding off it's 80's great success.

@YellowKazooie it pretty much is out of tune. Most of the songs have some sort of chromatic main riff. Cant really stay in key with those unless you treat each note as its own tonality. And Daves solos sound like he just sat with the guitar and played something random and fast in 1 take. the solo in 3:42 is a good example, I dont know how the hell that attrocity got on the song. Chris leads however are in tune, but his tone is absolutely shitty. dave shouldve had less solos on this album.
