nice job filming I see you caught a streamer on film also. whats cool about this is that this one is gold color. I love filming storms one day I want to travel to darwin north alstralia.
Eeeeeeeeee, now that's frequent lightning! Several close bolts, the one around :17 looks like it hit a transformer (the blue glow after the main strike). Awesome captures, 5/5 stars!
I remember this....the sky was never dark the whole night. And we lost power, it was pretty crazy. We don't usually get that kind of thing here in Montreal...
i remember that i was driving home from rosemere mall and a tranformer blew beside us when we got home there was no power and didnt have power for 3 days.
The one in early July 1999 was even more fearsome than this one and lasted longer, too. The winds were more powerful, the rain heavier and the lightning a little more frequent. A tornado was even reported just West of the island associated with the same storm line.
This storm was stunning as well. 2006 was the best Spring-Summer for t-storms in Southern Quebec.
I remember when my Alberta town got a storm like that. but i did not have my camcorder then. sigh I got one video of the last part from a friends old VHS camcorder
That's one heck of a thunderstorm right there! It's a pity there's no sound, but on the other hand, i dont mind it either, because i have heard enough thunder for this day:P
I was also tracking these powerful squall line storms coming from the Northwest literally all day, while enjoying the intense heat to accomany it, of course. I was so sure that they would spark up vehemently that evening, especially when I saw the first sign of Mammatus clouds and the subsequent anvil as well that evening. Not long after, the lightning activity was already within a few kilometers of my residence.
i remember that shit that wasnt that long ago was it?? i remember in july 99 there was a shit load of thunder storms in montreal.. but that looks more like last yearish
omg I remember that storm!! The sky was freakin' black and the clouds were moving damn fast. I remember it like if it was yesterday... ahah! and meteomedia was freaking out!!

I remember looking out my window for like 3 straight hours, looking at constant blue. One of the coolest things I've ever experienced in my life.
