If you’re a Seinfeld fan, then check out “The Seinfeld Rap” that I made. I also made a music video/picture show to go along with it. I put a lot of work into it and if you’re a fan of the show, I think you will really like it. Check out my channel, it is my latest upload. Thank you for listening.
In the real world, is there a law on working for free? I know it's illegal to pay employees less than minimum wage. But if the employee wants no money, is that perfectly legal? No IRS is going to tax someone?
@eugene680 it wouldn't be considered working, they consider it volunteering to a profitable institution. and I can't think of anyone else beside Kramer who would want to work for free. lol
I've never really watched this show much, but somehow the bit where Jerry got upset at Kramer for coming home late made it look like they were . . . Together?
@0706823245 Actually it goes more like this, according to George "Mooch food from your neighbour, fall ass backwards into money and have sex without dating", :-) can't remember the exact episode but it's when Elaine mentions that Kramer has gone to a fantasy camp, just after that quote George says, "his whole life is a fantasy camp, people should plunk down 2000 dollars to live like him for a week". Seinfeld one of the best ever series on tv, shame it stopped.
@0706823245 Yeah, I think you're right... especially the coffee table book, he was on TV about that one, so I'm guessing it sold pretty well. That would be a few years' income.
@0706823245 lol nice list of Kramer's assets but you forgot to mention his short, although lucrative career at H&H Bagels. I mean, they did win their work strike.
@0706823245 In the episode where Kramer is going to the Yankee fantasy camp, George says something about Kramer falling ass-backwards into money. Maybe he got an inheritance of some sort.
this was my favorite episode of the series, so many things happened! man hands, bizzaro world, and of course my favorite, krammer getting that fake job---it was hilarious!
Actually Kramer never had a real job. On what means did he live? I know he ate from Jerry's fridge, but the other stuff: bills, rent, cinema etc. Where did the money come from? I saw the entire series and did not found any reference to this perspective.
thats good question, we only know that he used to work in that donut store but went on strike, another thing we are able to find out that he "gets by", but realisticly
no chance he could live like that, we see in many series he has very poor apartment that as you said he eats from Jerry but at times they (ofcourse for joke) shown he had hundreds of dollars :D - sure later he earned money from his book and all but ... he truly is a mistery :D
@CONDLAUR At one time Kramer sold his coffee table book and retired for a short time at Del Boca Vista. But what he did for money before that I have no idea.
the character is based on Larry David's neighbor Kenny Kramer, who had invented some sort of eletronic device for cleaning jewelry i think, and he made enough money selling it that he never had to get a real job ever again.
@CONDLAUR Kramer wrote a book. He lives off Jerry and the profits of the book. It is referenced when George is in front of the panel, arguing his case for his new apartment.
@CONDLAUR actually he did have a real job, at that bagel store or whatever it was that was across the street that he ended up picketing because they wouldnt give him that made up holiday off
@CONDLAUR he worked at a bagel shop as a teenager until they went on strike the strike ends in the festivous episode and he goes back to work for a while
The best bathroom in mid-town... LMFAO! Which is funny because in the Seinfeld reunion on Curb, George made a fortune off of a iPhone application called iToilet, which tells you where the best public bathroom is wherever you are. LMFAO!

I think Kramer gets some sort of disability money, enough to pay his rent and get some food, pretty much it.
TheSkylur44 11 months ago
my theory on kramer's income:
(1) unemployment,
(2) his $18,000 score on a horserace,
(3) his coffee table book,
(4) his reality bus tour,
(5) selling his life stories to J. Peterman, &
(6) winning money playing poker with friends
