i nought this game recently because im making collection of all f1 games, and that was the one i was searching more, and finally , three months ago, i get it, this game is for me , still the best formula one game ever appeared, i particularly like the thing that youcan choose all the driversof that year, not the only at the beginning of the year, i even winneda race with jan magnussen with mclaren in estoril , i think, and winned the world championship with eddie irvine in jordan.

1) Bought this game at time and played so much the disk snapped 8 years later

2) Bought new copy and played so much the disk has a constant error where Murray Walker talks gibberish, then no sound before the French commentator talks gibberish instead

3) Still consider this the best F1 game on any PS :)

I just replayed this last week i did grand prix mode and did all the championship tracks with the maximum amount of laps for each i missed out on the title by 2 frickin points

I love this game. Still is one of my favorite F1 games.

Looks like you're struggling a bit. There is a rather nice bug to this game that's very useful at Monaco - never let off the gas. You pretty much apply the brakes while never letting go of the gas. If you do this, you'll never get wheel spin, even at Monaco. I'll admit that after playing this game all the time, I tended to do that in all racing games I played afterwards. Also works good in 'F1 97' and 'Newman-Haas Racing'.

Accelation is similar out of all corners ( It is actually hard to overtake on the hardest level on this game as you can see at the tunnel, car acceleration + top speeds are closely matched, whereas in F1 97, you can pass a slower car a quarter of the way down the straight at times and leave them 100 metres behind, which I hate)

I prefer 97, but it seemed a bit rushed and there are some things on it that aren't as good as F1 95

When you finished top of the championship in advanced mode you were given 'Gibberish Murray Walker' option.

Murray would then go through the next race spouting random comments that beared no relation to the race.... actually not unlike the real thing.

I owned this game for many years. I played it and played it along with F1 97 as I got progressively older until tragically my PlayStation broke either last year or the year before. I used to enjoy playing as all the drivers and often drivers like Bertrand Gachot and Roberto Moreno would be guided to championship victories in which they clean-sweeped all the races. i use to play this for hours ,i use have the car on low down force tire wear on a lot of fuel on spa with alesi in the ferrari on a one stopper.Oh and spain on mid or lower,but i always won not that easy if u play the whole season with the ligier.The benneton was easy the drive and the williams too .This game is still better then some new racecar games.

my first PS1 game! I still have it after over 8 years. It was, and still is, a great game which wasn't beaten till F1 games appeared on the PS2/ when Grand Prix 3 came out. But considering when this was made, the graphics a PS1 was capable of, aswell as the realism which still rivals modern F1 games this is up there with pacman as far as revolutionary games go and like pacman people still play it today. One of my all-time top 10 for sure!
