I don't know, for me, of the official Savage Worlds settings, the one with the least appeal for me is "Low Life". It's just SO friggin' bizarre and I can never see myself (or anyone, for that matter) actually playing it!
Anyway, I just got "Weird Wars II" today and it looks FANTASTIC!!!
Sigh... he often does stretches of products using the same system, such as BRP. He is reviewing the content itself. Who care if it is the same freakin' system -- even if you don't like the system, just convert to one you do like.
Seriously, if you want him to review books you've probably already made your mind up about, buy them and send it to him. Otherwise, just grow up.
They've adressed this once. they're answer was that they can only review what they can get ahold of. They either buy their own games or the companies send them copies. The only answer is for viewers to send them copies of games they want reviewed, or to get game companies to make deals to send them free stuff
Kurt nice review yet again! Though i noticed that it was a bit short. I think u should somehow standardize the time length of ure reviews. Give us more details man! Anyway ...
It seems like you did this one before, but maybe thats just because I have had it for a while, We literally NEVER play tour of darkness, It just isnt our style, but maybe one day we will get to it... maybe not. I will say that lately we have found SW to be way better with minis, not completely necessary, but better for us.
I disagree with Cennedi totally. Kurt pointed out one of the greatest things about SW, you (as a GM) can actually run a long Horror arc, or multi-era series of campaigns with SW. Something that no other game system makes so easily done.
HM is a fun system but lacks depth, C&C I can't say since I've never played it, but it sounds like its Medieval only, which again, makes it pretty much useless for multi-era campaigns.
Hey Kurt, Are you getting paid by Pennacle entertainment group? Seems like all you review is savage worlds and your love of the the rules set is obvious. You are starting to sound like a shill for savage worlds while ignoring many other games and settings that have been released.
How about a review of HackMaster basic or Castles and Crusades? Maybe do a review for Aces and Eights ir the Mongoose printing of Traveller?
I totally agree. What about Eclipse Phase? It's one of the hottest games out there at the moment! Beautiful d% mechanics, great themes - me and my group are having a blast.

You'd be better asking the question "Hey Kurt, I have a copy of a game that I want you to review. Where do I send it." Keep in mind that you probably won't get the books you send back from them.
I'm a Vietnam Vet and I really like this game. It's really nothing like what I really went through but then what game is. It's an excellent game setting that I highly recommend. BTW, Weird War II really rocks.
Any rules for roleplaying as hippie, anti-war protesters who encounter several terrifying monsters to only find out at the end of the gaming session it was all a bad acid trip?
Yeah, the Vietnam war isn't of much interest to me either. However, you could use this to run a straight military-oriented game of some type, maybe with the players as hired mercenaries in Africa hunting down Something in the jungle.
You considered looking into Eclipse Phase at some point?

oh, I LOVE the cover art... how that brown stain is in the shape of a G.I. I hadn't noticed that before.

I like SW but my point here is that is the bulk of what Kurt reviews and I feel it would be nice to see him do something else for a change.

Does it take things to a metaphorical level, or is it pretty straight-forward as far as the monster hunt goes?

I agree. Also other companies have done this too, and none to my knowledge have been good.
