  • Who the fuck is the bald midget!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I gasped for a second when it looked like the green didn't go in. What a thrill for the people who got to see this in person.

  • wouldnt it be class to see davis vs hendry vs o sullivan all in there prime

  • nothing like ronnie

  • What an incredible treat for those guys just sittin there watching... just goes to show what these guys can really do when the pressure of the tv camera's etc aren't on!!

Amazing break, position play was excellent!!

  • Great 147 by Steve. It's sad that people have to use filthy language when they make a comment. That just shows that the people who swear have got less intelligence than a dead goldfish and that is the only way they can express themselves.

  • @Davewise1965 How exactly does swearing = less intelligent? Go to any science department in the country, and you'll hear more foul language coming out the mouths of some of the smartest people on the planet than you'll ever read on youtube.

  • I went to see Jimmy white at an exhibition he was shit I must say.He didn't get a break over 40 nothing compared to Steve.

  • @SRV1DOORS1HENDRIX1 PFFFT MOST PEOPLE WOULD JUS BE HAPPY TO SEE HIM PLAY U UNGRATEFUL CUNT

  • @pistolpeeroy I'm not an ungreatful cunt you fucking retard,I was pissed off because I paid fifty quid for a V.I.P. ticket to see one of the games greatest and he was no better than someone for my local club.I had a drink with him in the pub afterwards and I told him in a nice way that it was basically shit and he agreed with me.

  • @SRV1DOORS1HENDRIX1 I saw Jimmy White at an exhibition and he was pissed and had to miscount a break to avoid being beaten by a pub player off levels, thought he was gonna get lynched!!!

  • ahhh, the nuggat in his prime, playing like it didnt matter

  • Not aware that this existed, ab-so-lu-te-ly fabulous, magnificant, amazing! Great style, great control, great potting, one of the better 147's in history. An absolute joy to watch and indeed, I've never understood why Steve didn't play at a higher tempo.

  • Is that a young willie thorn he is playing?

  • @qwerty123456789abcde I think it's a cross between Willie Thorne and Dennis Taylor, LOL. Great break from Steve though!

  • who`s steve playin a cuckolded dwarf?

  • Excellent 147 by steve, thanks for uploading

  • Who"s the weired midget he"s playing ?

  • Great!

  • BEST 147 IVE SEEN CONSIDERING LAST 2 REDS

  • SUPERB STEVE, ALWAYS SAID HE PLAYS BETTER WHEN PLAYING FAST.

  • Comment removed

  • very lucky and he was wank the bald guy looks a better player

  • @RedNeckRoger The bald guy LOOKS a better player? How can someone look a better player? The bald guy potted no balls while Davis cleared the whole table? Then you say he was wank - how many world snooker titles have you won? As if that's not bad enough you say Davis was lucky! obviously you don't play snooker because if you did you would know what skill and precision is required to make a 147. Your comment is probably the most stupidest one here.

  • @RedNeckRoger care to explain your reasoning behind that?

  • there are many great players but steve davis is on and off the table the greatest ever !!

  • steve davies a legend ahd a top bloke

  • lol who's that midget?

  • I always think he plays better when he plays at a quicker pace. Very Fluent indeed :).

  • Legend!

  • The poor little bald fella probably paid good money to have a frame with Steve Davis and he only got to play one shot!

  • wow, iv never seen that video before, that was a unreal run, the shots he made when he made them were great.

  • Also if your very serious about learning the physics of billards and would like to play pro if you have the talent, you must check out Byrne's New Standard Book of Pool and Billiards, and Byrne's Advanced Technique in Pool and Billiards. Great books, check your local library, they might have them. I bought them myself and learned a few things even being considered a good player of the game from others.

  • Great guy, I just don't like the direction "pool" is going now, as 9 ball being the major events. I've always hated the game, what I do enjoy is billard games that play out like a chess match, ones that take longer than a 9 ball match. 8 ball is all I would play or snooker, used to play a few times a week and in tourneys but haven't for some time.

  • haha brilliant :) he is still my favourite snooker player next to steven hendry. shame they both got knocked out so early of the crucible theatre.

  • Is this a full size table? It looks small to me.

  • A legend of the game...he's still got it today after all these years.

  • ahah fake oppenent xD

But still a great achievement ofcourse.

  • How can the opponent be fake? He was there, he was holding a snooker cue, he played a shot. Or do you mean he was a robot or something?

  • What a superb maximum break that was! He never lost the cue ball, even when his reverse screwback to the final red has not satisifed him. A brilliant break from a brilliant player and - almost more important - a great and nice guy. I'm very happy, he is in the WPBSA now.

  • @Rogerulez1

I'm happy he's qualified for the WC AGAIN!! Go Steve!

  • haha poor bugger got 1 shot

  • The guy in the glasses - I heard him on the wireless back in '52 :)

  • @tellyisrubbish

    Very good!

  • *Smiles Broadly* Glad someone on YouTube gets my jokes! The moment I saw that little fella, the music started to play in my mind :)

  • whats with the synced clapping?

  • a great player and no slouch

    on the right occasion

the low fi of it all makes me wonder if i was there

    i was probably

... drunk in a pub in camden town

  • your r amazing boy

  • the table is 8x4 red headed stepchild

  • Hitler

  • brilliant break, i used to play alot when i was younger. but couldnt get 40 breaks!!!!!!!!!

  • gollum plays snooker ?

  • Steve Davis is a total gentleman, and a great ambassador of the game...

    What a super break...!!!

  • @Allanbruun

Super super break by the genius that is the Nugget... he's my all time No. 1 player in the game.

    Classy guy, all business.

  • Bárcsak ott lehettem volna! Kurucz Lászlónak mekkora sörénye volt :D

  • why is there an army of foot soldiers marching into the arena at the end?

  • I don't think anyone else gets your joke, but I do and its funny!

  • @grandcranium I dont get the joke either, but I have a feeling I know what its about! Can you explain it please?!

  • @grandcranium I do get that its something to do with Buggles. Perhaps he looks like the lead singer?!

  • Really akward shots in that break, of all the 147s made surely that was the best, have to take my hat off to this,

Lucky a person was there to tape it

    Great Post

  • i love how after every great shot, the odd members of the audience look at each other as if to say "wow did you see that " ha ha this is ace

  • i thought the other bloke was dennis taylors younger brother!!!!!

  • Davis has always been class and a great ambassador for the game. Who's his opponent, he kind of looks like the little old guy who gets slapped on the head by Benny Hill. No offense, I'm sure he's a good player......

  • funny at the end how davis tried to hug his opponent but he was offering just a hand shake but davis still tried and didnt succed :D nice 147

  • great to see this footage, commentaters go on about players being so much better today, didn't see any of the old Davis that would struggle too much with todays game.

  • whats up with all the freakish clapping at the end??

  • Great Davis;) The referee name is László Kurucz and he's the "A Biliárd magyar hangja" ("Hungarian voice of Biliard")!

  • freak

  • What's that Short, Bald thing ?

  • i think steve's opponent is a mini me dennis taylor and a also a very short willie thorne too lol

  • Comment removed

  • The foul added to Steve's opponent's score, it didn't subtract from Steve's. Also, we are talking about a 147 BREAK, not a total score.

  • oo yeah thats correct.sorry

  • their applause is so regimental its scary =/

  • ahhaa yer u noticed that it was like a chant

  • shows why he's an absolute legend, and so humble about it too

  • Is that Denis Taylor's Mini Me he's playing?

  • LOL

  • wow, 147 just like that, absolutely fantastic

and 147 with a foul break, haha

  • Steve Davis é o maior jogador de snooker do mundo...o jogador mais clássico da história!!!

  • Brilliant steve i really enjoyed that. your a absaulte legend who i just love watching playing snooker and it made my day a few years ago when i got the chance to meet you after a premier league match against Mark Williams in Hull. Show Stephen Hendry And Ronnie O'sullivan how to play snooker in your 50's and moaning about quitting. Never heard steve moan once even after losing these guys should just learn from him!!!!!!!

  • Ronnie said he looks at davis' game for inspiration. I wld have like to see daivs and ronnie play each other at their prime. I would guess ronnie is the perfect attacking player and davis is just pure class, kinda like nadal and federal. I wld say davis would have kept ronnie in his seat at his prime

  • The clapping in time is a Hungarian (or East-European? hell knows) tradition. We do it that way.

  • Long live rythmic clapping.

  • i think i saw that midget in a porn movie once....

  • haha :)

  • lol how long is that appluase and why is everyone clapping in time... weirdos

  • Is that Dennis Taylor there? friggin midget hah

  • What's this, in somebody's garage? I'm half expecting to see a wooden ladder or rake hanging on one of the walls!

  • It's eastern Europe cholling! The people there don't have the luxuries of the west. Oh I forgot...there are no people in eastern Europe they're all over here.

  • Does anyone know when this was? Looks some time ago judging by steve's hair! 80's maybe? I couldn't take my eyes off the little bald guy! Anyway...well done Steve, you're such a decent bloke too :o)

  • I guessed early 90s, then saw in the description its 1992 :)

  • funy

  • Steve Davis showing why he's big in Hungary. Ha-ha!

Seriously, great performance. One I hadn't seen before so thanks for posting.

  • who the f**k is that midget he's playing !

  • this is an exhibition, why are you comparing it to a match 147? I bet every top player has made numerous 147s in unrated matches where the pressure is off.

  • why are they clapping in unison???? lol

  • Nice 147. Steve almost missed the green. Steve Davis is the best ;)

  • That lady in the 2nd row from back, near the left hand side of screen is wearing a jumper that i bought for my gran on her birthday.

  • "that is by far and away the best 147 ever bar none some of the recovery shots were mental, well done stevo"

Agreed, it was a very good 147 (show me a 147 that isn't good) but no way was it the best ever. You wouldn't need recovery shots if it was the best ever - the position would be near perfect throughout. As for the best - O'sullivan takes it with his 5:20. Everyone knows that.

  • no.

  • i agree with d40a5c. ronnie's 147 was a lot more exciting to watch, with a large part going to positional play that was near perfect.

  • Hungary, that snooker hotbed.

  • lmao

  • in HUngary there is a 14 year old kid, who made a 85 break

  • CHECK OUT THAT ROCKIN' HAIR!

    Superb break, though.

  • Pockets look pretty big to be fair, some of those would never have gone in on a tournement table. Still very nice though.

  • even tho the pockets are big its still mean you cant do one if they were the size of basbet balls haa

  • bloody hell, the final red and the yellow were tricky to say the least, that was a phenomenal maximum

  • he's not that bad at 50!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you are watching there the greatest snooker player in the world, at that time.

  • Absolutely amazing skills

  • that is by far and away the best 147 ever bar none some of the recovery shots were mental, well done stevo

  • that is 1 of the best 147s you will ever see. it was fucking brilliant

  • this just proves that steve davis is the best snooker player

  • r5onnie did two 147s in one week!

  • i can't see

  • this just proves how many good breaks have not been recorded and are now lost forever.

  • What a great break. Davis is a great snooker player.

  • he is funy guy..

  • Crap? no, it wasn't. Davis is still the king. Let's see if O'Sullivan is around and competing in the top 16 at 50 yrs old. Thanks for the post.

  • You're right!Davis is the greatest!

  • That was crap compared to ronnie osulivan's world record 147.

  • He is Ödön Szabó, the first Hungarian Masters Cup winner.

He has died three weeks ago:( R.I.P.

  • may i knw who is dat shorty wth specs...

  • Cool.

  • I saw Steve play in an exhibition a couple of weeks ago. The guy is an absolute legend. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Fantastic demonstration by Steve! Check out the difficulty of some of the pots to keep this going...utterly brilliant!

  • interesting

  • Még mindíg libabőrös leszek ha végignézem.Szerencsére ott voltam élőben és láthattam ezt a fantasztikus sportembert.Sőt én készítettem ezt a videofelvételt.

  • Fantasztikus!

  • Wonderful! A true sporting great, and a gentleman with it. Also, a tremendous achievement, and a real thrill for those who were lucky enough to be there.

  • Special. Fantastic. Though I am curious as to whether potting the cue ball on breaking was deliberate.

  • Definitely was deliberate! This is a 6 times world champion playing. He is giving the other guy a chance, because Steve knows for certain he is going to win. Steve doesnt even go the right side of the blue ball when breaking - it is unlikely a champion of his standard would make that mistake very often, unless on purpose :-)

  • very well done! absolutly fantastic!!!!

  • Very nice "film" :) Awsome! Thank you Robert602!

Nagyon nagy felvétel! Nem hittem hogy ezt fellelem valaha :) Köszönöm!

  • This footage is as rare as rocking horse shit! You can tell he's keen...he even sets the balls up himself! How did he concentrate with the crowd so close to him? Great clip. Good one Steve.

  • I suppose when you have won world championships and experienced the pressures of ranking tournaments, a few guys close to you in a exhibition is nothing.

  • come on steve

  • great davis

  • Interesting
